what’s your favorite brand of denim? i love some of the brands anthropologie carries, but they are pricey! gap usually has some great jeans for around $50 or less.

  1. I love your outfits….just my style (inbetween dressy and casual). Really dressy clothes are not me and sometimes it is hard to find a medium. I love the cardigan from target…the short one. Never really considered short.
I also love to make jewelery and taking photographs and always looking for inspiration. Between my family and work, I loose inspiration and energy to do it….seeing someone else do it might help me to keep that creative side alive 🙂

  2. Hi Lisa..you look as cute as cute can be! I would give for your hair..mine is poker straight. Cute outfits too. I emailed you a couple of days ago, I am not sure if it came to you or not as I had an email from you saved and sent it from there. It was regarding giveaway…

  3. Right now Talbots Heritage fit jeans fit me best…but I have to say I love Spring and Summer ( here in FL)because I can wear all my sundresses and forget about the jeans and what I should wear with them! 🙂

  4. Those green wedges in last pic are to DIE FOR!

You could not be more adorable.

Jeans – I’m so intimidated by the slection at Anthro and even the prices back in the clearance section.

Bizarre enough, lately I’ve loved my jeans from Target! Other faves are Loft.

I see so many 7 suggestions on blogs but that’s far out of my price range.

  5. i looooove jeans from Gap.. i worked there for a year & would buy a new pair every month with my discount. well, i don’t fit into half of them anymore, but i am saving them & hoping i can one day in the future. i just recently purchase 2 new pairs from gap.. and i just love them. jeans from other stores just do not compare. honestly.

  6. Sweet-Girl you are ROCKIN’ some STYLE down there in California!
Love how you can fix your hair different for each outfit.
You and BOOTS…were made to be besties.
Right now I’m LOVIN’ LLBean jeans made for CURvY girls. ;o)
    Hugs.
    xo
I need to subscribe to your blog so I can have reminders of when a new post is up! LOVE it when I pop into your lovely world!

  7. Jeans are my one love when it comes to fashion. I love my Seven’s and William Rast skinnies. But I usually try not to spend full price on them so if I can find them at Plato’s Closet (a used clothing store) or Nordstrom Rack, I will definitely pick up a pair!

  8. Love your outfits! Way too cute. I desperately need inspiration, so glad I found out about this meme. Your church outfit is really cute – I love dresses with oversized cardigans.

I’m participating too but I’m only posting one pic for now.

  9. Hi Lisa, love your 1st outfit. Your so skinny & I still want to learn how to tie a scarf like that.
I like Old Navy jeans, you can’t beat $20!

  10. I love how you tie your scarves to turn them outwear into an accessory to your outfit?? How do you tie them? I would love to be able to tie mine like this! thx

      1. Thank you for posting that! I was looking through your archives because I knew you had posted that before and couldn’t find it! I can’t wait to try it out 🙂

  11. I am a little older than probably most that looks at the WIWW posts but I love plain old levis! They come in so many cuts and colors and are not expensive. BYW, my husband bought me the Hope is the Thing With Feathers necklace for Valentine’s day and I absolutely love it! 🙂

    1. My fave jeans have changed as I’ve gotten older and had 3 kids….this bod is not the same anymore. I like DNKY jeans for the fit….makes lots less muffin top. And I have a pair of city fit style from Coldwater Creek that I love for the same reason. And they both come in tall, which I have to have at 5’10”.

  12. Lisa, girrl you are too cute this “what i wore wednesday.” I was thinking last wednesday, that if Target or even Antrhorpologie would ask you to be a model at- large, you could so do it. I am always inspired by your choices.
My fantasy jean would be a perfect pair from rag and bone, but I found a pair of dark, slim leg(not skinny)jeans at Talbots.I had to splurge, love.

  13. You are so stinkin’ cute! 🙂 I LOVE Gap jeans!!! I sometime splurge for Banana Republic jeans, but other than that I’m a Gap girl as they fit like a glove and they don’t break the bank! 🙂

  14. I have been a gap girl or like 20 years (ahem)! They just seem to really fit me well. And on inspiration fromyou I have gotten some skinnies from target that I like a lot! You are so super cute! <3 Love!

  15. Well I love all of my jeans from Maurices. I also like the jeans from Cold Water Creek. They have jeans that you can wear for many years and they don’t go out of style.

  16. I love those green shoes and the chunky bracelet! I’m still in search of the perfect jeans, but so far my favorite ones are from a store called Maurices {not sure if you have one near you, but they do have a website}.

  17. Cute outfits this week, Lisa! I like Levis a lot, and recently I found a couple of great pairs from Banana Republic (bought on sale, as that’s another pricey shop).

  18. you’re stunning. 🙂

nothing (no other brand of jeans, anyway) makes me happier than a perfect pair of levi’s. i just love them. i might even buy them if they aren’t on sale, which is down right shocking for me but still so reasonably priced. of course, if i find a pair of perfect-fitting jeans at the thrift store, no matter the brand, that’s gold too.

  19. My favorite jeans are Van Heusen. My mom gave me her old”not your daughters jeans” which makes them her daughter jeans (I was confused too) but they fit me well also. They have a bit too much stretch for me. The VH has just a minimal amount and don’t get loose as I wear them.

  20. Ok, I won’t lie. I splurge on denim. My favorites are Seven For All Mankind and Joe’s Jeans. BUT, I think denim is definitely an investment…and I have had a lot of my jeans forever! This season I didn’t want to spend a lot on denim skinny leggings, so I did pick up a few pair at Old Navy for $15 a piece! Quality isn’t there, but when I didn’t know how often I was going to wear them, I didn’t want to spend a lot.

  21. I buy most of my jeans at Smart set, Bootlegger and now Broncos (a western wear store) in my city. But really as long as they fit over my thighs andaren’t gaping around the waist i am happy

  22. Honestly? Whatever fits right at a wonderful little consignment shop here.

The owner makes it feel like a boutique, is nicely picky about what she accepts, and I never pay more than $15 per pair (sometimes $7.50). The best part about this deal? They look brand new, and I didn’t break the bank! 🙂

  23. I have stacks really many stacks of jeans…No I’m not a hoarder I just love jeans and I wear them all the time. They range from $$$-$. My favorite were Lucky I thought they were a cheaper version of my $$$ jeans but here is the secret Eddie Bauer hands down makes the best jeans. So many different cuts and they wear like iron amazing!

  24. I love Citizens of Humanity…a splurge but they last forever. A girl I used to work with would dry clean her jeans instead of washing them…makes them last so much longer! I also have a pair of Joe’s Jeans crops that I am wearing all the time right now.

  25. BUCKLE!!!! Those jeans are great…hold up in the wash…don’t stretch too much and I think they are cute!!!

    Love the pics from today!

    paige

  26. You always look so cute! I like gap jeans, although I am between sizes so I am having trouble finding something that fits my waist and my thighs. Everything ends up being too big in the waist but to tight in the thighs! I also love love love madewell, but I havent been brave enough to try on jeans there yet!

  27. Well, to be honest, I usually splurge on the “Daughters of Liberation” brand from Anthro. I have what could euphemistically be called full hips and booty, and it’s hard for me to find jeans I love.

As a second option, the Lucky boot cut classic riders are okay, though I feel like they stretch out and lose their shape a bit faster than I would ideally like, which means I am constantly washing and drying them to shrink them back down.

  28. Very cute, as always! Favorite denim hands down, are my Seven jeans, pricey yes, but they last me a lot longer than other jeans. I really hard on my jeans! I will say, I have bought some skinny jeans from Express, and I truly love them. They are becoming more of my go to jeans right now.

  29. I’m with you I *heart* Gap jeans. I usually do a quick look at their clearance when I’m in the area for some of their ‘seasonal’ styles. Then I stock up on my favorite Long & Lean style when I get their 30% off coupon a few times a year.

I’ve never dared to go into a place like Anthro. and try jeans on because I know I’d fall in love and my entire clothing budget would go to jeans. And well, jeans alone just isn’t going to cut it ;).

    Happy Wednesday!!

P.S. I like seeing you in the full length jeans … I think it makes your legs look longer ;).

  30. love the Gap jeans. They look great on you! What kind are they? I am always looking for a great pair.

    Thanks!

  31. Cute outfits (as always!). I love to see how you accessorize because I’m really trying to be better about that! As for my favorite denim, I have had some good luck with Gap jeans, but I also really like Calvin Klein (I can usually find them at Ross, TJMaxx, Marshall’s). They seem to fit nicely and are not too low in the waist (which is nice for those of us who’ve had babies!). And the butt fits good too!

  32. Denim from Gap are the best for my body. I don’t know how they do it, but they just look good, feel good, and I can usually find some my size on their sales rack. I used to work there, so I got spoiled getting their discounts. 😀 But, actually, I have bought some Mossimo brand jeans from Target and they are pretty great too. But overall, Gap wins!

  33. Lisa you look so skinny in your new jeans! And I love that scarf from world market!
oooh and I need to see a close up of those green shoes 😉

I have a hard time finding jeans because I’m super short and really short waisted too. In the past I’ve had good luck at American Eagle, Ann Taylor Loft (petites) and Anthro. But my current favs are a pair of Mossimo skinnies I got at Target for free!! They were on clearance for $5 and I had a coupon for $5 off denim! I had to hem them as they were super long on me, but you still can’t beat that!

  34. You look like you were made to be a model. You always do such a great job showing off your clothes and always look so together and cute. You wear scarves so well! Have a wonderful Wednesday!

  35. I love my American Eagles jeans — the only brand I buy for jeans, really — they fit me perfectly & they are not at all expensive. (my fave cut of their jeans are the “Straight” jeans — only available on their website though… it is the happy medium between skinny & bootcut. — wearing right now!)

  36. I love what you wear, any time you go shopping if you could just buy 2 of each and send me one, that would be good!!

my closet id mostly full of wrangler jeans, can’t seem to find others I like as much

Thanks for sharing, maybe one day I will get brave enough to join in on the linky party

  37. G’morning, Lisa! Love your outfits! You seem to use a lot of scarves for accent—how do you tie/wrap your scarf so that it looks so “together”?

  38. Lucky Brand jeans fit my curvy body perfectly! They are pricey, but they last for years, so that makes it a good investment. I also own Levi’s skinny jeans that fit like a dream. I love the pictures in what I’m guessing is your entryway. What a beautiful entrance. You always look so great Lisa! 🙂

  39. I tried to stay away from jeggings as long as I could and then I tried on Mossimo (Target) dark rinse jeggings and am hooked. SUPER comfortable, the top look like “normal” jeans (fly and front pockets that are sewn shut so no bulk) all under $30!

Secondly, da da da dah…Jordache jeans at Walmart. I cringe my shoulders when I say that but they have been a favorite staple of mine for the past 2 years and I think they were $12!

BTW, for Mother’s Day last year my husband gifted me your Family Tree necklace and it gets the most compliments of all the jewelry I ever wear 🙂

  40. I know this may sound crazy… but I have found delia’s, a shop geared towards teens, to fit me just right. I bought three pairs at once because they fit so good… I have always had a hard time finding jeans that fit me just right.

  41. I like Banana Republic jeans. They fit over my thighs but are still tight enough in the waist and so cute!

  42. my fav denim brands are American Eagle and the Gap, well Gap Outlet to be truthful. But it’s still gap but discounted!!

  43. LOVE your church outfit 🙂 So cute! I love anthro. I’m so jealous of your boots! I’ve been looking for some just like that everywhere!

  44. World Market has scarves? More importantly, World Market has scarves that are that cute? I love your outfits. I’m a huge Anthro fan, too.
