There is beauty waiting to be found! (noticing textures)

I’ve been noticing texture lately. Texture and color seem to be peeking out from every corner. Isn’t it the color, texture and light that make things beautiful? Sometimes I feel like my heart will burst, it’s all so lovely.

Our summer collection was born from a desire to capture color and texture and create tangible, wearable pieces that bring beauty to the every day. This one makes my heart happy. And this one combines dark wood, shiny dipped gold and smooth stone. Love love love. The weight and texture to this bracelet just feels plain good.

Let’s say hello to some inspiring textures. Will you join me?

hello velvety leaves bursting with color and light.

hello weather worn wood and foamy waves.

hello tiny, spiny urchin that was hidden in the sand.

hello glassy water and soft sand.

hello dry, delicate flowers that get blown away in the wind.

hello decaying bark that will soon be indistinguishable from the earth.

hello soft, flyaway feather

hello moss dripping from the trees and making everything seem magical.

It’s a new week, a new beginning. I want to take this opportunity to begin fresh and see the world with new eyes. There is beauty waiting to be found!

What are you saying hello to this week? Leave us some hellos in the comments or link up your own hello monday post there!

  1. Lisa, I follow you on Instagram and seeing your #texture have inspired me to take closer note of the textures all around me. Texture is already something I’m naturally drawn to- it makes my ears feel all fuzzy (that’s a good thing 😉 , but having you share has definitely renewed my own interest!
    Happy Monday! (and Tuesday!)

  2. Such beauty – I especially love that cute urchin!
I am saying hello to saying goodbye to houseguests; hello to dinner with my BFF; hello to the end of “The Bachelorette”; hello to a day at the zoo; hello to prepping for our first big camping trip with our kids!
