Hello friends! I am thrilled to share my new victorian cursive necklace with you.

David was home sick a few months ago, so with a bit of extra time on my hands, I jumped and worked for hours on these victorian cursive charms. It was a labor of love–and I hope you are as excited about the results as I am!

new wholesale website!

jewelry, paper & cloth By January 12, 2014 3 Comments

Did you know that we have a wholesale program? We introduced it over a year ago and it’s been building month after month.

We work with some FABULOUS shops like Dayspring, Earth Angels Studios and BHLDN. We have some beautiful boutiques as well. It’s humbling to walk into some of my favorite shops and see my jewelry. Very surreal!

We are currently in Atlanta at the home and gift show. If you are there come see us! We will be here through tomorrow, Monday at booth 1804, building 3, floor 2. We’d love to say hi and show you some of our new things.

Are you interested in carrying my wholesale line? If you are a shop owner or a rep, head over to my site and click the ‘wholesale’ tab in the top right corner to see all the pretty things. If you don’t have a resale license, please tell your shop-owning friends about our wholesale line. Hugs to you!

what i wore – nesting necklace

jewelry, what i wore wednesday, what I'm wearing By January 8, 2014 6 Comments

The perfect skirt, the perfect necklace. Ah–somethings just work–you know?

I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration.

The skirt and the necklace I’m wearing in this post are new and wow, I just love both of them. You know when you put something on and it’s just easy and it works? That’s what I love–and how I want every outfit to feel.

The black tee, denim jacket and boots are old stand-bys. I wear them all. the. time.

This pretty, flowy skirt is just fun. And of course, I can’t resist polka dots.

Love the buckle detail on the back of the boots.

Our brand new ‘nesting necklace’ is so sweet. This mama is watching over her nest and making sure everyone is cared for. So beautiful.

Outfit details: Skirt, Free People via Blue Windows {on 2nd street in Long Beach, CA}. Black top, TJ Maxx. Denim Jacket, Gap. Boots, Sam Edelman. Scarf, Christmas gift from England. Leather bag, brought back from Thailand. Nesting necklace, My shop NEW!

What’s your favorite ‘pretty’ thing to put on these days?

1 fun story about true friends {and bracelet}

inspiration, jewelry By December 10, 2013 2 Comments

Hello friends!

Today I have a fun story to share with you. Shelby and Makela are two of our AWESOME team members–helping with marketing and production. They are each such amazing girls and we love having them in the workshop. They met here at Lisa Leonard Designs and now they’re roommate. How fun is that? We asked Shelby and Makela to model our true friend bracelets {available today only!} and we asked them to share about their friendship.

We met at Lisa Leonard Designs out on the production floor. We were both looking for housing and Shelby asked Makela if she wanted to find a place together. Through conversations we realized our home towns were right next to each other in Northern California, and our paths had crossed many times. We even attended the same volleyball camp when we were younger and we didn’t even know it!

We are both really easy going and light hearted which makes it easy to live and work together. Our lifestyles are pretty similar and we find a balance in spending time with other people as well. We enjoy assembling jewelry…duh, dancing and listening to live music, juicing, sitting by our fireplace in the mornings with our cup of joe, crocheting, being outside, decorating our house, late night chats (late night, as in 9 o’clock), soaking up  the sun at the beach,  and dreaming about many adventures in far away places.

true friend bracelets pictured above, available today only!

Shelby: I can’t keep houseplants alive, my solution is to just buy more. I eat cereal in bed almost every night.  Makela stirs my oatmeal in the morning when I’m frantically getting ready for work. Makela leaves me little sweet notes every now and then.
Makela: I love my candles. Shelby feeds me while my grocery routine is lousy. While Shelby’s on her early morning run I brew our coffee. The couch next to our armoire sits more clothes than it does people. I worry about Shelby if she isn’t home by ten o’clock (we’re both not night owls).
We both love: pine trees, camping, the river, antlers, dansko clogs, and hot buttered rum.

There was a power outage one night and our neighbor decided to set off fireworks while we were sound asleep. We both woke up convinced that they were gun shots. As we were about to call the cops we looked out the window and realized it was only fireworks. He is really strange and always up to something. We are continually looking out our window at his house, and feel like we are the detectives on a case.

Shelby and Makela, thank you for sharing about your friendship. It makes my heart happy!

this is my story {new pieces to inspire}

finding love, inspiration, jewelry By November 5, 2013 15 Comments

dear friends! we just introduced jewelry for the new holiday collection. this collection is really dear to my heart. every time we introduce a new collection it’s exciting, but this collection feels like it’s full to the brim with meaning and sentiment and beauty. i truly love each piece and i hope you will, too!

my new ‘inspiration necklace’ is simply that–full of inspiration. the tags are hand-molded and organic, and of course, hand-stamped with names that are dear to your heart. the colors are some of my favorites. and the chain length is awesome. i love this piece!

i’ve been wearing this necklace every day and it feels right. my boys names, next to my heart, the clink of the glass and stone beads, it all came together in this necklace and i want to wear it. it inspires me.

the love and laurel necklace speaks of honor the gift of love. perfect.

the magical moment necklace captures that special feeling when everything is just right.

the tried and true necklace speaks of lasting love even through difficult times.

all are oh, so pretty and simple and begging to be worn or given to someone special.

my story is about finding beauty where i didn’t expect to find it. when david was born i thought my life was over, but this tiny baby, with only two fingers on his left hand, a serious heart defect and so many other physical issues, came into my life and taught me how to love. he broke down walls of pride and replaced with with an openness to letting life be imperfect–and that’s where joy came in.

and then matthias came along 18 months later, and rocked our world again. i was so thankful that matthias was healthy, then i felt guilty for being relieved, like i was somehow being unfaithful to david. i worried i wouldn’t know how to love two boys with such different needs. i wanted to be the perfect mom but i was faced with my own brokenness. accepting that has become a huge part of my journey. we are broken, but there is beauty to be found. i am imperfect and flawed but i’m still loved. this journey is not what i had planned, but it’s so much fuller and brighter and lovely than i expected!

this is the heart of my new collection. go check out all the new pieces and tell me which one is your favorite!
