  2. lovely post! I like the idea of looking forward to the weekend beginning on Thursday. Now how can I keep myself from worrying about Monday on Sunday?!

  3. That is a beautiful photo!
As for illuminating my day… it’d have to be my daughters new cute hat, handmade by my mother, and the thought of good Thursday night tv 🙂

  4. Like Jaime, today, a candle illuminates my living room, as the God of healing, the God of comfort, illuminates my heart as I gently remember my children’s sweet spirit. They are safe in the arms of Jesus. My heart longs for Home today.

  5. Homemade pizza for dinner, my daughter being on fall break for the rest of this week and the next, the upcoming road trip to see family in OK, God’s grace in my life.

  6. That light is beautiful. Illuminating my day today has been snuggles with one sick daughter and the other (who has just started school aged 4) praying and thanking Jesus that she goes to school because she likes it – and her response to me when I said that I was so glad she was enjoying it was “I was telling Jesus, not you”!!

  7. Illuminate is the name of our Young Adult group that my husband and I serve. The definition is perfect for those who are sharing the love of Christ with others.

Jaime, Praying for you today! I lost my little one at 13 weeks gestation in 2005 and I too will be lighting a candle for him or her.

  8. The perfect post for today, Lisa!

    What is illuminating my day?

Candles burning all around the world…

Everyone is invited to light a candle tonight (Oct 15th) at 7pm in all times zones, all over the world. If everyone lights a candle at 7pm and keeps it going for at least one hour, there will be a continuous WAVE Of LIGHT over the entire world in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day.

I am missing my baby girl, Claire today who was born sleeping on October 1, 2009 but I am feeling “illuminated” by your post.

See? Once again you have touched my life and those of so many others without even really knowing it!

    Thank you, Lisa.

  13. Thanks for the reminder to “wear my sunshine on the inside”… we have had a week or so of weather like your post from yesterday. The sun is only a faint memory in our minds, told of only in grandiose stories in children’s fairytales. (sigh)…

Alas, as I wait for Sunday (next anticipated day of sunshine), I must find be determined to brighten my day myself! I will savor a warm cup of vanilla chai, wrap on a fun new scarf, and chat with friends. That should get me through a few more hours!
