what i wore wednesday

it’s wednesday and i’m linking up with lindsey at the pleated poppy {all the way from england!}

we are enjoying our time taking in england and all the sites. we’ve had some busy, tourist-y days and some mellow hang around town days. i think the mellow days are my favorite.i brought a few pairs of jeans, tee shirts, a couple cardigans, one pair of boots and one pair of flats. everything is getting mixed and matched.

pic 1–striped tee and coral cardi, both from h&m. jeans, antrho. boots, vintage. camera bag/purse jo totes.
pic 2–same jeans from anthro. ruffle top, local boutique, green cardi, target. yellow scarf, anthro. same vintage boots.
pic 3–same striped tee from h&m, denim shirt from chicos. black skinnies from target. black flats from gap.

when we go on a trip, i try to pack as simply as possible. if anything, i underpack. how about you–do you tend to over-pack or under-pack?

  1. Loving your purse/camera bag from Jototes, but I can’t seem to find it on their website. Can you tell us what the name of the bag is? Thanks. Love What I Wore Wednesdays!

  2. I’m an over-packer …. what if I get too hot or too cold, what if my feet hurt, what if I spill something!?? Too many what if’s … we solved it by moving to where we always vacationed … now I don’t have to pack anymore! ha ha! Enjoy your trip..

  3. Lovely outfits Lisa. It looks like you are having a fantastic holiday in Jolly Old England! As for packing, I tend to over pack…and never end up wearing half of what I bring. Every year I say I will pack light next year, but always seem to forget and pack too much!

  4. I underpack and do what you’re doing. Then I never want to see the clothes again after returning home! My husband “packs like a girl,” though, bringing way. too. much. Keep having fun!

  5. I am definitely an over-packer! Everyone teases me about the size of my suitcase and the amount of stuff I take. I say I just like to be prepared!

  6. Overpack-seriously! My husband always says I’m moving. I want to be a lite packer-it just hasn’t happened yet. Maybe if I ever fly on a plane I will be!

  7. I am a WAY overpacker.

BUT on my trip to Ireland/Wales/England in May a friend came over and packed me. She took lots out and put in things I would have never chosen. Took a pair of flats, slippers, running shoes, and Chacos. That’s it. I had PLENTY of clothes for three weeks.

You packed cuties for this trip!

  8. As a fashion accessory, England really suits you, Lisa!!

As far as the packing question? I’m ashamed to admit it, but many’s the time I’ve picked up my luggage at my destination to find a big, bright orange tag with a picture of a man lifting a suitcase with lightening bolts hitting his backside. If that answers your question 😉

  9. I’m terrible about overpacking. I’m getting better. It’s the shoes that kill me, I love my shoes and always bring tons.

  10. My husband always teases me after he brings down the 4th suitcase for our weekend getaway…I’m starting to think he might have a point.

  11. I always over pack…I don’t know why…but I can’t seem to get it together….so I bring everything I might want. 🙂 I’m trying to get better!

  12. I definitely underpack. I try to pack similar colors so I can get by on 1-2 pair of shoes. I don’t pack a lot of jewelry either. I am afraid I will lose a favorite piece.

  13. I love your blog (and your jewelry)! I’ve been reading it for a while so I thought I would say hi. I especially enjoy your “what i wore wednesdays”and I’m always inspired by the things you put together. I loved hearing about your England trip, My dad is from Surrey (Where The Holiday was filmed) and I still have family there. I’d love to go visit some day!
