hello sand dollar beach

hello monday, san luis obispo By April 25, 2016 3 Comments

I took a walk at Morro Strand also called Sand Dollar Beach. I probably could have collected 1,000 sand dollars–I’m not exaggerating! The weather was rainy and I was the only one on the beach. The tide was low and there were sand dollars everywhere. So magical.

We braved the windy roads to explore Big Sur. It’s about 2 hours north of us–and we’ve never ventured that far up
Highway 1. Wow! The views were gorgeous. We did a short hike to McWay Falls. The drive home was long and were tired and grumpy. But we did it!

Hello pups who seem extra clingy/cuddly lately. I think it might be because the kitchen is torn apart while we get new countertops?

Hello Zootopia. We loved it! Absolutely adorable.

Hello back to our routine. It was so nice to have some downtime over spring break. But it’s back to school today!

my neighborhood, san luis obispo

san luis obispo, shops i love, what I'm wearing By February 10, 2016 3 Comments

We moved our shop onto Chorro Street in downtown San Luis Obispo. I’m standing our front in these pics. We are sandwiched between Eureka! Burger and Black Sheep Bar & Grill with an awesome Boba tea room called Sweetie Cup right across the street. It’s basically amazing. And there are so many adorable boutiques and delicious restaurants steps away. We are working on a plan to open the retail shop–it’s a big project in the midst of busy days. I’ll keep you updated as we progress!

on my street san luis obispo-02 I found this button up dress at Target and we both knew {the dress and I} that we would go home together. It’s a flowy versatile piece and I love it! Plus the price is unbelievable.

on my street san luis obispo-04 The slip dress is a thrift store find from years ago. I think I splurged and paid $10 for it. It’s definitely worth the investment.

on my street san luis obispo-05 And this sweet necklace holds so much meaning for me. I have a heart for each one of us in our little family of four. I am grateful.

on my street san luis obispo-06 These sandals are so comfortable. I got a second pair when they went on sale last year and tucked them away. They’re a warm weather favorite.

on my street san luis obispo-07 Have you seen these stackable ‘sweet love’ rings? Aren’t they sweet? Two for me and Steve and two for my boys.

Outfit Details: Slip dress, Thrifted. Denim dress {worn open}, Who What Wear, Target. Bag, Nena&Co. Sandals, Miz Mooz. Your Heart in Mine necklace, My shop. Sweet Love rings, My shop.

Please excuse the sandals in February. We’re having a heat wave here in California. Today was 86*–insane. We’re soaking it up while praying for more rain!

avoid the walls, there’s gum everywhere

san luis obispo, what I'm wearing By November 20, 2015 3 Comments

I am overjoyed! It’s finally cold! Well, cold by California standards. It’s been scarf and boot weather. I wore flats the day we took these pics and my feet were cold. After so many hot months, it’s wonderful to have some chilly weather–even some rain. We’ve turned on the fireplace a few times. Hooray for a chill in the air.

With our shop downtown now, there are lots of fun places to shoot pics. Around the corner from us is bubble gum alley. It’s completely disgusting {as you can see}. It’s definitely something to see and of course, leave your mark {or your chewed up gum}.

at the mission, san luis obispo

san luis obispo, what I'm wearing By October 21, 2015 9 Comments

Now that we’re downtown, there are so many beautiful places to take pictures. The mission is just a couple blocks from our shop. Just one little problem {that I may have mentioned before} I feel like a complete nerd taking pics of what I’m wearing. But we did it and I lived. Hooray!

This gorgeous kimono was sent to me from Fancy Free shop and it’s flowy and lovely. Everything else is super basic and easy–but the kimono steals the show. fancy free san luis obispo lisa leonard-01 fancy free san luis obispo lisa leonard-02 fancy free san luis obispo lisa leonard-03 fancy free san luis obispo lisa leonard-04 fancy free san luis obispo lisa leonard-05
