celebrating a small victory.

November 26th | older posts

A couple weeks ago i set David’s straw cup on the coffee table and went to grab something. He went over and started sipping on his own. When he accidentally knocked the cup over, he set it upright on.his.own!! It’s a small thing, but wherever he gains independence we see growth & spirit. I don’t hold David on my lap to drink any more. I just set the cup down for him and let him sip when ever he likes. Go David!!
And yes, that is dust on the table behind him…yikes!!

Hooray for David! We love small victories too.

I would never have noticed the dust if you hadn’t pointed it out! 😉 We fight a losing battle with dust in this house.

Go, David!!! Thanks for sharing his “small thing.” I know it really is a big thing indeed.

I’m glad to see the dust. Heaven knows we battle it here! This picture shows that you’re paying attention to the bigger picture… the successes of your child not the dust on the table. That’s the stuff that actually matters.

It is always cause for celebration to see children blossom in their parent’s garden.
You have tended & captured it quite well.

Dust? Well, it just goes with the territory.

  9. Fan-tas-tic!!!
And, by the way, if we were all concentrating on the dust in our homes, wouldn’t we be missing out on the important stuff? Glad to see you have dust too – :)
