messages in the snow–keep Portland weird!

***Hello Monday is where I greet the new week with an open heart and a fresh perspective. It’s a new beginning–and there’s so much to be thankful for! Join me by leaving your own hellos in the comments section or linking up a hello monday post there!***

We spent the weekend in Portland for business meetings {which were AMAZING!} and the whole place was covered in a blanket of white. The roads were icy and slick, so we stayed close to the hotel, drinking coffee, planning and scheming. I love Portland–but I didn’t get to see nearly enough of it. Which just means, I’ll have to come back so I can explore more.

How about some hellos for a new week?

Hello white wing against a white sky.

Hello reading The Paris Wife. Have you read it? I’m loving it so far!

Hello snow! We’ve had such a warm winter in California–it was wonderful to bundle up.

Hello important messages in the snow–keep Portland weird! 😉

Hello doggie, you must be a bit chilly. We took two meals at The Heathman and we loved it!

Hello walking here and there but staying within a block of our hotel–it was just too cold and icy!

Hello cozy bed where I promptly got cozy whenever we were in our room.

Hello coffee with lots of cream. I must have had at least 5 cups a day. Yum!

Hello being home with my boys–so good.

Hello grandma visiting. She’s staying with Matthias while we take David to the hospital for tests.

Hello to some not fun but very important GI tests for David this week. He’ll be in the hospital in Santa Barbara for a couple days this week. I’m nervous and hoping he’ll be a trooper. We’re also hoping he won’t need surgery. Will you send up a prayer for us?

Hello feeling thankful we have a staff that works hard even when I can’t be at the workshop.

Hello Valentine’s day! I need to finish up a couple things!

Hello feeling thankful and blessed. I’m so glad we have family and friends that surround us with their love and support. And I’m thankful for you–that you’re here joining me for some hellos!

What are you saying hello to this week? Leave some hellos in the comments section or link up your own hello monday post there!

  1. Hello to tons of snow here, it looked like someone was shaking powered sugar out of the sky this morning! 🙂 Praying for your sweet family and especially David during this time…..

  2. Portland is a 2 hour trip south from us on the train, and I just adore it! My husband went to college there, and he would love it if we moved!! So glad you got to enjoy it even a little bit.

I am sending good thoughts out there for you and David and your whole little family. I am so hoping all goes very well. xoxox

I am unfortunately saying hello to my older brother’s divorce today :(. He just told his girls, who are students at the high school where I teach. I am going to be hoping for grace for all of them as I hug them today. Marriage is so hard.

Happily, I am saying hello to Valentine’s Day, which means a little Charlie Brown and a few surprises up my sleeve for the mister and my girls.

  6. Love following your adventures and my ears perk up every time I read “business meetings”…my mind starts going crazy! And prayers for you guys this week. I know these tests have filled a lot of your thoughts. Praying for extra strength and grace for David (and you guys!) and favorable results.

Saying hello to a fairly normal week (except that i’m running a 5k which is a big deal for me)…whatever that means. http://happylittlelovelies.com/2014/02/10/hello-monday-sunny-fearful-crazy-girl-version/

  8. Love your hellos this Monday morning. We’re predicted to get ice this afternoon and tomorrow so we may look a bit like Portland before it’s over. Ugh!

Certainly praying for little David this week and for the entire family. This journey affects you all and I pray God’s best for David.

Happy week to you! I’m linking up at http://www.ciciscorner.com
