Sisters’ Guide to Santa Barbara

1. Stay in Carpinteria. It’s less expensive and more quaint.
2. Eat at Jack’s for breakfast, Pascucci’s for lunch and Chase for dinner. Ignore that too full feeling and keep eating.
3. Take a nap, stay up late and sleep in.
4. See a movie. Preferably something totally fun, cheesy and/or sappy.
5. Eat Thrifty’s ice cream at least once.
6. Find one great thing to splurge on. I found a totally fun sweater at Anthropolgie. I won’t tell you how much.
7. Laugh, act like a dork and laugh some more.

  1. I didn’t know Thrifty’s was still in business! I remember stopping for ice cream there on the way home from the pool. Single scoop, chocolate almond crunch, .32!

  2. I absolutely love pascucci! we always eat there when we are up in sb. I like your guide! Makes me want to take a little vacation.

  4. Lisa, I have to tell you that I love your blog. It is comparable to walking into my favorite store. I love the photography and the coloring in it. Your jewelry is simply beautiful.

I just thought I would let you know that I stumbled across your blog and it struck me as classy.

  5. Also to quote from Dirty Dancing, while we are…”No one puts Baby in a corner”…

I am so glad you had so much fun. Wish I was there.

  6. To quote a song from Dirty Dancing,
“Now I’ve had the time of my life…and I owe it all to you!”

I love, love, love, love you!
