your hand in mine.

October 12th | finding love

It’s been pretty rough around here with David having a lot of tummy pain and cramping. He’s been crying for hours on end all week and my heart is broken {and my heart is exhausted!}. The good news is, we stopped the antibiotic yesterday and started a probiotic that will hopefully get his tummy right again. I came across this post from my blog a few years ago and it was such a good reminder to myself–so I thought I would share it with you, too!

How about you and me hold hands?

And we’ll walk together.

And we’ll take each day one step at a time.

We’ll try not to worry about tomorrow.

Because tomorrow’s too far away.

But we’ll enjoy the moment we’re in.

Because right now i don’t want to be anywhere else but walking with you.

Your hand in mine is a beautiful thing.

BTW – Our pediatrician swears by the probiotics. Which brand did you try?

I think your transparency and your families bravery in the midst of trials are what I love most about you and your writings. No polishing of the stone so it doesn’t look like one but an honest admission that it is in fact a rough stone but that you will use it nonetheless to build your fortress. Thank you for sharing and as always, prayers for your sweet boys!
