your hand in mine.

It’s been pretty rough around here with David having a lot of tummy pain and cramping. He’s been crying for hours on end all week and my heart is broken {and my heart is exhausted!}. The good news is, we stopped the antibiotic yesterday and started a probiotic that will hopefully get his tummy right again. I came across this post from my blog a few years ago and it was such a good reminder to myself–so I thought I would share it with you, too!

How about you and me hold hands?

And we’ll walk together.

And we’ll take each day one step at a time.

We’ll try not to worry about tomorrow.

Because tomorrow’s too far away.

But we’ll enjoy the moment we’re in.

Because right now i don’t want to be anywhere else but walking with you.

Your hand in mine is a beautiful thing.

  1. I think your transparency and your families bravery in the midst of trials are what I love most about you and your writings. No polishing of the stone so it doesn’t look like one but an honest admission that it is in fact a rough stone but that you will use it nonetheless to build your fortress. Thank you for sharing and as always, prayers for your sweet boys!

  2. Just beginning our CdLS journey with our daughter…I am going to make a print of this and hang it above my desk! Sending healing hugs to David!

  3. Your posts are always so sweet and I love your little family even though I have never met you. I send you and your whole family prayers today and hope the probiotics help David.

  4. Sending hugs to you and David today.

BTW – Our pediatrician swears by the probiotics. Which brand did you try?

  5. Oh my heart aches for David and you, and my prayers are being sent your way! What you have is a beautiful thing, and I am so glad that you share and that strengthens me and reminds me to take it day by day too! Lots of hugs!
