hello spring! {bloom}

***Hello Monday is where I greet the new week with an open heart and a fresh perspective. It’s a new beginning–and there’s so much to be thankful for! Join me by leaving your own hellos in the comments section or linking up a hello monday post there!***

We are home from New York {more pics to share this week!} and David and I are turning around to see a new GI at UCLA tomorrow. It’s a crazy week–but there’s nothing unusual about that! How about some hellos?

Hello sunshine and blooms. Is spring making an appearance where you are?

Hello cooking 4 dinners last night–I’m bring to make sure in the craziness we have healthy options for food.

Hello pink! It’s the sweetest color, and when used as an accent, softens everything.

Hello tired! This mama needs some downtime. I’m making sure to schedule some in this week.

Hello meetings and planning! There are exciting things happening at Lisa Leonard Designs and my head is spinning just a little bit!

Hello Star Wars. We’re watching the movies as a family and the boys are definitely obsessed!

Hello cup of coffee and a good book. I‘m currently reading this book and it’s challenging me in the best ways. I highly recommend!

Hello sewing machine. I invested in one a few months ago and I want to learn a good skirt pattern for this summer.

Hello lizards. We’ve got a few that live on our front porch and one jumped out yesterday and scared me half to death! We got a good laugh out of it!

Hello last day of March–tomorrow is April!!

Hello beautiful, mundane, everyday stuff that makes up the sweetness of life.

Hello Monday! What are you saying hello to this week? Leave some hellos in the comments or link up your own hello monday post there!

  1. Thought spring was on its way to PA last week, since my grass was getting greener and saw some day lillies pushing through the ground… but got
hit with a late snowstorm yesterday that dumped 11 inches at my house…good news is that it is to get warmer this week so it should melt quickly!

  2. I’m reading the Blue Bike, too, and am really enjoying it. Was just thinking this morning how I would like to slow my family down a bit but that it’s a challenge in our fast-paced world. Almost like swimming against the current!

  3. Hi Lisa! I always love your Hello Mondays posts! I thought you might be interested in the Liesl + Co Everyday skirt pattern. It’s become my absolute favorite. It’s an easy one to make and it’s really flattering. I just started a blog and today I posted pics of a corduroy version I made. I wore it a lot this winter and have made 3 other cotton versions to wear if Spring ever fully hits Chicago! http://www.fasewla.wordpress.com. Here is a link to the pattern: http://oliverands.com/liesl-and-co-patterns/OLV-LC005ES-D.html

  4. I love seeing the white pear blossoms and the pink cherry blossoms that start to appear this time of year. It’s been a long, cold winter but we’re warming up this week. The new blooms shouldn’t be too far behind!

  5. This week I am saying hello to the warmer temperatures and hopefully to a week without doggie issues! Nature has not sprung to life where I live yet but I see some green in my grass!

  6. Hi Lisa–if you are getting started on sewing and need a little guidance this website is helpful and shows some great patterns(whether novice or experienced) -http://sewing.patternreview.com/
BTW–love your jewelry–waiting for my customized cuff to brighten my doorstep 🙂

  7. Oh, how I wish that is what I saw when I looked out my window. I am so sick of snow. If you find a good skirt pattern that’s not to tricky, let me know. I’d like to make a few this spring, too. I’m linking up with you today from http://amygarbacz.blogspot.com Hope you have a great week!

  8. We just started watching the Star Wars movies with our boys too. They are 9 and 6 and are also loving them, especially our 6 year old! Fun times:)
