field of yellow.

you know how much i am loving yellow lately, right?

so when i saw all these yellow wildflowers popping up in a field nearby, i convinced my family to take some photos.

we went just before sunset. and light was so magical.

and everyone was happy and playful. so it was the perfect setting for taking pics together.

and then we went out for mexican food afterwards. yum.

i love yellow, i love sunsets and i love my little family.

even though we are a little bit crazy and very imperfect. it’s good.

those pics of matthias running through the field keeping making me want to cue the little house on the prairie music. i grew up watching that show, how about you?

  2. Hi Lisa, I’m in your Indie Biz class! I always love the yellow flowers in bloom. In Germany they call them Raps, not sure what they are called in the states… heh. I’m curious about your use of the name Matthias, did you get it from a German relative or something? I had never heard it before living in Germany, it’s now my favorite boy name…

Your photos are beautiful. It’s pleasure to stop by and look at them, it’s great inspiration. thanks for sharing!

    1. hi kara! it’s the greek version of matthew. and matthias has an uncle matthew-but we decided to change it up a bit. xo

      1. Interesting! It’s a very popular name out here! We have an uncle Matthew as well… same thought pattern there about changing it up slightly. Neato!

Love all the Little House books…and Matthias just needs a change of clothes and one of those hats Alfred(?) used to wear and he’d be right there.

  31. Beautiful pictures! Wonderful fields of mustard? I live on some of the land where “Little House” was filmed-fun. The series of childrens books based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s story are wonderful too.
