hello small moments

Hello friends. Today I’m reflecting on those sweet moments that happen every day but are easy to miss in the business. How about some hellos?

Hello waking up with Matthias cuddled up next to me. He often climbs in our bed in the wee hours of the morning and I’ve grown to love it.

Hello french press coffee. Mmmmm. It’s a wonderful way to greet the day!

Hello scrambled eggs. We have them most days. And sometimes pancakes.

Hello bathes in the morning. Both of the boys love a bath before school–it helps wake them up.

Hello drop off and pick up. I’m thankful my schedule is flexible around the school’s schedule.

Hello workshop. It’s our busy busy season–and this year has been busier than ever before. So much to be thankful for there!

Hello creativity. I carry a sketchbook in my purse and sometimes in an unexpected moment, I’ll have an idea–so I’ll sketch it out.

Hello afternoon nap. David often cuddles up with me and snoozes for 20 minutes in the afternoon. It’s good for my heart.

Hello last minute scrambling to figure out what’s for dinner. I’ve been unorganized in the kitchen lately.

Hello twinkle lights. I love love love twinkle lights. They are magical.

Hello cuddling with Steve on the couch after the boys are in bed. One of my favorite times of day.

Hello slowing down. Thanksgiving is this week and the boys are out of school. I want to savor those small moments.

What are you saying hello to this week? Leave some hellos in the comments section or link up your own hello Monday post there.

hello to our annual trip home to kentucky to see my family! we all travel to my parents cabin in the woods and spend five days together. I long for it every year…to be near my mom & dad, my sister & her family and my brother & his family. we come from kentucky, missouri, north carloina & alabama. my family is the BEST & i can not wait!!

hello to change. i have a 3.5 yr old & 19 mo old girls. they change so quickly…growing before my eyes. i keep my eyes open to them as much as i possibly can- i don’t want to miss a thing!
i’m also growing a baby inside me and this pregnancy is flying by faster than i could have imagined. i know this “calm” season in our life is about to change as we add another person to love to our family. what seems hectic now will become even crazier in just a few months. sometimes i let myself have fear of the future and whether i can handle it all. i know i truly can if i allow Him to help me. mostly i’m so excited for the new LOVE that will fill our home.

hello to the strengthening of a marriage- of a commitment between my husband & myself to grow TOGETHER on the same path. we have to remind ourselves every once in a while that we are always and forever a team. i am grateful we are in harmony, it always makes things better 🙂

hello to spending a little time this week crafting (feeding my soul) with things i’ve been wanting to finish and new ideas i’ve wanted to try.

    happy thanksgiving lisa!!!
