hello Salcey Forest, hello heading home

Hello friends! We are headed home from England today. It was a wonderful trip overall filled with family time, relaxation, beautiful sites and delicious food. We had a very scary night with David in Cambridge. We didn’t realize how serious it was until we got to the hospital–but he had pneumonia and on top of that had an ‘asthma-like’ episode. We received excellent care at Attenbrooke Hospital in Cambridge and he is much better now. I think I’m still trying to recover from how serious it was and alternative outcomes. Thankfully, he is on the mend!

It’s a brand new week and a brand new year. There is much to be grateful for. How about some hellos and pics from our walk through Salcey Forest?!

  1. Hello, Lisa! I’ve loved following your sweet trip! I am also saying hello to being gentle with myself as we just have returned from Maui and headed back to school today. Hello to a 2 hour late-start due to snow this morning! Trying not to freak out that the tree is still up and the laundry and emails are piling up by the moment…. Also saying hello to all I learned from Liz Gilbert’s “Big Magic” – it feels good!

  2. So happy to hear David is ok and sorry you all had such a scare. Wishing you and your family a wonderful 2016!

  3. I love your sunburst ring. I wish it was offered in a 2. Not many companies offer so small. ? just a suggestion. When you go through the anticipation of receiving something sparkly and have to immediately take it somewhere to be fitted it’s a bit of a buzzkill. That being said, I love your aesthetic. ❤️
