Have you ever made poached pears? My wonderful employee Eric has come up with a tasty recipe that is perfect for the holidays!

It only requires a few ingredients and will leave your house with a sweet cinnamon aroma. It’s amazing!

This recipe requires 8 pears, 8 cups of water, 2 cups of sugar, 2 cinnamon sticks, 1 tsp whole cloves, 1 tsp vanilla, 1/2 tsp all spice, and a 1/2 tsp nutmeg.

Cut pears in quarters and remove the core of the pears with a paring knife.

Add all ingredients to the water and bring to a boil, after boiling for 2 or 3 minutes, add pears.

Once pears are added, stir ingredients and let simmer in syrup for 15 minutes.


After the 15 minutes are up, take the pears and syrup off the heat and let them cool.

After cooling for about 5-10 minutes you will have some tasty spiced poached pears! Enjoy!
