if you could had $200 to shop for fall,

what is the FIRST thing you would buy?

  1. Maggie, that makes three of us — you, Lisa, and me!

‘Cept I would call those “raspberry,” rather than pink. But we know they’re still the same darling shoes. Gotta luv ya sum Tar-zshay! 😀

What to do with $200 for the fall? Buy more LLD stuff, of course! My sister’s birthday is 4 days before mine in October, so I could get her something lovely. And I’d love another pair of boots — for plus-size gals like me, though. The entire DVD collection of Christy: The Series. More Jeeves & Wooster audiobooks (author is P. G. Wodehouse). And probably give some $ to my missionary friends.

  2. I have those pink shoes! They’re so worn down from wearing all the time, but I love them so much I still wear them 🙂

  3. Well I would bargin shop and get a pair of tall black or brown boots and a pair of black skinny jeans. Probalby go to kohls so I could use coupons and get kohls cash so I could buy a top later on. I have to say I love your style lisa!!! I would bring pictures with me of your outfits and try to put some things together.

  4. If it were for myself, probably a pair of boots. I haven’t had any since high school (loong time ago,) and I think every year how I’d love a pair. But the boot money gets spent on new clothes and shoes for my boys now!
    🙂

  5. I would buy a day pass to The Creative Connection!!! Unfortunately, I have to work at a big event this weekend, but I live in Minneapolis and I know I’m completely missing out! Next year I’ll be there though! I swears! 😀 HAVE FUN LISA!

  6. With $200 I would buy a few cardigans for myself and as many pairs of winter mittens & gloves as I could and take them to the homeless shelter.
P.S. LOVE your style and creativity!

  7. Boots! And a cute cardi I saw at anthropologie…Hubby planned to give me just this for my bday…but there was no anthropologie where we were on vacation…so I am thinking now maybe for Christmas!

  8. Probably a clutch. I’m in love with clutches. And while I’d like to say a sweater or new pair of boots, because who doesn’t want a new sweater for fall, I just really, REALLY love clutches. So, yeah, a clutch.

Did I say I love clutches?!?!?!?

  9. $200… bucks to spend on something for fall … Well at Marshalls the other day I picked up a cute black dress so ofcourse I need a few things to go with that , new boots maybe some leggings a cute scarf , new necklace from you ….love your clothes by the way .. wish I was your size , I am a work in progress thou so there’s hope ..
Thanks for inspiring me with your wonderful photo’s and your upbeat blogs you my dear are a delight !! Safe journey to you … be blessed!

  10. I wore a scarf today and thought of your WIWW posts. It reminded me to start wearing them again. Thank goodness the weather in Texas is now below 100 degrees, and it’s feeling just a little bit more like fall. You look so cute in your outfits with the scarves. It really adds something fun to the outfit.

How would I spend $200…jeans, jacket or shoes/boots. A girl can dream!

    Enjoy Minneapolis!

  11. How funny – there seems to be a theme here! I would also buy new boots! I need to replace my tall black boots that don’t fit me after the last 2 babies! Love your wednesday posts – I am channelinng you in Target!

  12. BOOTS! I am loving boots this fall and craving a really nice pair of brown or cognac leather riding style boots. They literally cost and arm and a leg though, even $200 would only put a dent in them, LOL! If anyone out there in cyberspace knows of wear to get leather boots for a steal, let me know! I am also checking second-hand and thrift, I did just get a pair of cute black leather NIne West wedges for 14.99 at Value Village! ; -)
I always adore your outfits, Lisa!!!!

  13. Another Lisa Leonard necklace! No joke! I have a “Mama” necklace and a “Sparkle” chandelier necklace. My girls (3,4,7) love taking turns finding each of their names on it. I would probably buy my husband something also. Keep being beautiful Lisa!

  14. a pair of cuffed boots…. I saw the cutest pair the other day and just fell in love… then I’d buy a bracelet from you as I’m all about accessorizing with bracelets these days.

  15. Lisa honey, I love that strapless floral dress. Really really pretty! Oh and those pink shoes.. SIGH SWOON SIGH… Love them!! We are heading into spring but if I was heading into autumn I’d buy myself a gorgeous pair of red boots. Just the thing for cooler days to brighten my life! Smiles…

  16. some jeggings, a new fall sweater (there are some gorgeous ones out there) and a new scarf! speaking of which…i LOVE all of the pictures you share with your scarves…would you show us some of the ways you wrap them? have fun!

  17. A cashmere cardigan. For sure.
You wear such cute clothes! You actually inspired me to buy a pair of skinny jeans. I always thought they were just for the teenagers, but you look so cute and fresh wearing them. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Danielle

  18. Target AND Chipotle? My two favorite things!! 🙂

If I had $200 to spend, I’d get a fabulous pair of jeans (or two), a new jean jacket, and a couple fall type jackets..green and purple! New boots and some fun scarfs! You look so cute when you wear yours!

  19. I would definitely buy the skinny cords from J Crew and a toggle clasp coat. I need variation from jeans, and a longer coat to keep me warm in San Francisco!

  20. Welcome to Minneapolis! I got so excited when I saw you’re here, but then I realized that there’s not much of a chance bumping into you in the city. Might have to take a trip to that convention though… looks awesome!

I’d get some skinny jeans, leggings, and boots for our upcoming trip to NYC… so I don’t look like a Minnesotan. 🙂

    Have a great trip!

  21. I actually am going to get to spend that-my bday is next wk and I’ve lost 20+ pounds and my clothes are falling off of me. I know I’m going to get some jeans but I’m in desperate need of a lot of things, so I’m going to have to be thrifty and particular! I told my hubby not to buy me anything-that I just needed to go shopping! I need to do some research and coupon hunting first…

  22. Definitely some tall boots because I don’t own any and just thing they are the perfect fall accessory! Love these Wednesday posts on what you are wearing! AND, welcome to Minneapolis! Bummer that we are greeting you with such a rainy, cool day!

  23. I would buy long sweaters. My husband calls them teacher sweaters cause when I was teaching all the teachers at my school would wear them.

  24. I would love to buy something for myself, but due to furlough days at my husbands work and having a child with cystic fibrosis I would more than likely pay bills and try to get caught up. So sad but that’s reality here.

  25. I would first by myself your family crest necklace. Then…. I would buy new jeans. Gap runs a sale a couple times a year where all jeans are $20. I would try to hit a sale like that up.

  26. If I had $200 to shop for the fall, I would buy NEW JEANS (nice, expensive jeans)….and of course, a Lisa Leonard necklace! 😉

  27. yay! you’re in Minneapolish 🙂 me too!!
I’d buy a necklace or a charm from you to add to my bracelet… a perfect gray cardigan and splurge on a top for my 30th birthday!

  28. A new pair of shoes. It is so hot here still. Fall and winter weather seem light years away. A few “transition” outfits would definitely be in order. Still hot, but don’t want to run around in summer clothes…. Love your WIWW posts!

    Andrea L.

  29. I love your what I wore wed. posts! You’re just cute as can be.
wow! if I had $200 to shop for fall the very first thing I’d do is order the fly free necklace! I absolutely love it and feel such a connection to it, the message just speaks to me. it’s on my Christmas list …with link and all set to send off to my hubby when he asks what I’d like, it was on the list last year…I think I may have to highlight the link!!!

with that goal accomplished, I’d get myself a new pair of boots, a cardigan…(you have me thinking I NEED one!) and a scarf..

  30. I love, love, love your first outfit!

I am in my final year of university, and so I have made a list of things I want to do before the year is over. One of the items on my list is to buy a piece of clothing from my school, so that I can feel a part of the crowds at hockey games, basketball games, rugby games, and so I can wear it with pride for years to come. I have my eye on a few different hoodies. They aren’t very stylish, but they’re warm and cuddly and they’ll scream “Go, STU!” at the next sporting event I attend.

  31. Hello Lisa!!
I am new to your blog, and I L.O.V.E. it!! You are such a creative inspiration to me! I met a woman at Macy’s and commented on her beautiful necklace. She gave me your name and it has been about a week since I found you {sounds so funny} and I am hooked! haha!! I just read that you are in Mn, and that is where I am at!! I wish I would have known sooner, I would have made time to come and meet you. However, this weekend I am getting MARRIED so that might not have worked out so well! I hope you have a wonderful time in our lovely state. Safe travels, and I hope you can see your boys soon 🙂
God’s blessings to you and your loved ones~
    Kelli

  32. Camis, cardigans & cute dresses! I am in {almost} desperate need of some camisoles, and I saw the cutest ruffled cardigans at Target yesterday. Dresses are a staple! Probably won’t happen {having $200 to spend}, but it’s fun to dream!

    {P.S. Just wanted to let you know that I featured one of your necklaces on the blog today!}

  33. I want some flat cute boots. Maybe some skinny jeans (but I’m afraid!) and definitely some flowy shirts you are inspiring me to wear. OK, maybe I need $400. :0)

  34. $200! Wow! I would buy a cute pair of boots, some new jeans, cute scarfs and some of those long flowy sweaters…and I found some of your jewelry I would like….I wonder if I could get all that on $200?

  35. Some sweaters/cardigans to layer.

I LOVE your style. (I just recently found you thru Meg from “Whatever”)… I showed my teen girls your “what i wore wednesday” outfits and told them i want to dress like that.. one of my daughters said, “that’s a cute outfit, but how old is she?” Meaning I’m too old to dress like that :O)… excuse me, I’m 46 and not too old. LOVE your blog.

  36. i would buy a new outfit.. a long sleeve black dress that’s down to my knees, black tights, plum colored boots & a pretty scarf to match!

  37. such cute outfits! love them all! if I had $200 for fall i would definitely add more cardies to my closet, as well as a lisa leonard necklace and colorful flats!

  38. have fun in minnesota. be sure to speak with a minnesotan accent the entire time you are there, and hug lindsey and tell her it is from me!

i honestly come over to your blog for w.i.w.w. for inspiration to pep up my appearance. you are brave in style, and add fun layers. and guess what! i found the cardigans at a different target! i now have my own “favorite gray cardi.”

if i had $200 what would i buy for fall…a pair of sassy cowboy boots, a funky guitar strap, and another l.l. necklace (duh!). oh yeah, i could make the $200 get me all 3!

  39. If I had $200 to spend I would actually save it…hoping to buy a new DSLR camera in the next couple of months, my first! 🙂 If we’re talking clothes, maybe something cute and reasonable top or sweater (gray!) from Old Navy, then something totally fun & different from Anthropologie like an accessory (love your gorgeous scarf from there!) With the rest I’d buy your Open Cirlce bracelet 🙂

I love your style, Lisa! Casual but still pretty & polished – not the typical t-shirt and jeans mom uniforms I usually wear! I’m making it a point to try to have more fun w/my wardrobe this fall.

Hope you have a great time at your conference, and a safe trip home. I’m sure your boys & hubby miss you so much, too 🙂

  40. I am a scarf wearer like you but it is too hot to wear them now…I tried one day it was cool out but then warmed up way too much to keep it on! I so look forward to wearing them everyday in the winter! If I had $200.oo for my fall wardrobe, which by the way is nonexistant because I got rid off everything that didn’t fit me and now I have lost 20 pounds and plan on losing 20 more by Thanksgiving, I would be buying a whole new wardrobe to fit my new body! I would be heading off to TJ Maxx to get some great deals! Have fun at your conference! I know how you feel when you are away from your kids for a length of time and can’t stand it! Even seeing cartoons on TV can make you tear up!

  41. hi lisa

oh probably boots! but then i would need some dresses to wear with the boots!!

    travel safe — 🙂

    xoTiffany

  42. I would buy the new trench coat from H&M with a cute shirt dress to go underneath. I would also buy a new necklace from your collection. By the way, I got my first piece as a birthday gift recently and I LOVE it!

  43. If I had $200 to spend for fall I would buy a cute new coat in anticipation of the colder weather coming (plus if you wait until winter to buy a coat all you can find are swimsuits!)

  44. When I have spending money I tend to ignore my wardrobe needs/desires and focus on my home. I love that Autumn(and Winter)comes with a sense of coziness. I love all things cozy, snug and homey. That being said, I would nab the nubby, cozy tweed throw that I passed up at Target last Fall.

  45. I would buy a pair of super cute but really comfy loafers from Sofft;a couple of boyfriend cardis and at least 4 cute T-shirts (long sleeve),I may have to add to that 200.lol:)

  46. Great outfits, hhmmm if I had $200 to spent for fall I’m another that would buy a pair of boots . . . I’ve been looking already as I’m desperate for a pair but just haven’t found what I’m looking for yet.

  47. let me welcome you to minnesota! it’s a great place. i live just a stone’s throw north of st. paul, near the state fair grounds (if you would have come a couple weeks ago, you could have gone to “the great minnesota get together”. i’ve only ever lived here, so i’m biased, but we’ve got the best state fair around!). hope you have a great time here!
    blessings,
    shana
oh yeah, the $200 . . . i’m due with #6 exactly a month from today, so i’d get some new NON-maternity things to spruce up my post-baby look. i’m always a sucker for a sweater!

  48. always accessories/or shoes….never have to worry about them fitting and they can dress up or dress down anything! 🙂 so glad you enjoyed hilton head, by the way

  49. Definitely some jewelry I’ve been eying from a talented lady I know.. 😛 ANd I think just sweaters/cute jackets and accessories would be my choice. I have random pants that would work well, but I’m missing some accessories. I always seem to put my money on the big items, but the real drama is in the details…and that’s what I’m missing!

  50. I would donate the money to a group home in my area because I am sure the kids there need clothes way more than I do.

  51. i would buy a super cool pair of frye boots too…hopefully a pair with flowers on them , that make me feel like i was hanging out in austin or somewhere else really cool i have never been before : )
if i had any money left over i would buy myself some dark, fall nail polish and a new scarf!

  52. New jeans … since they ARE the base for 95% of all my fall outfits :). I’m thinking I *might* try the skinny jeans/boot trend, but it makes me more than a little nervous!

Happy travels … wishing you safely back to your boys and enjoying some down time when you return!

  53. If I had $200 to shop this fall I’d buy a great pair of rain boots and a super cute rain coat. I feel that these are essentials to add to my wardrobe.

  54. I would buy, ‘hope is the thing’ necklace from you, a cute dresses (long sleeve cord shirt dress at old navy I am dying for, possibly a pair of cute cowboy boots. Sounds like a cute new outfit to me!!!! And it would be nice since it seems everytime I go out shopping I come with stuff for my little e-man! Funny how things change when we have children, the focus becomes them!:)

  55. something for me i have not done that for a long time….usually always for the house, and since i admire your jewerly so much prolly something special from you
