what i wore wednesday

It’s Wednesday and I’m linking up with Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration.

I didn’t realize how much I love gray and yellow until I wore this outfit! Jeans, Banana Republic {like 3 years ago}. White shirt, Anthroplogie. Gray vest, Target. Shoes, Ambiance {local boutique} by Poetic License. We were just about to leave for church when I snapped these pics. Matthias wants to wear a button-up shirt and boots every day. That bag around his chest is the swag bag from the creative connection conference a couple years ago. He fills it with crayons, paper, books, etc to keep him busy during church. This week it took him about 15 minutes to get bored. Hmmm.  His outfit is from Children’s Place. My skirt, Target. Gray tee, Kohls.  Jean Jacket, Gap. Boots, Anthropologie. Vintage necklace, Ruby Rose. This outift was full of color! The dress was a Christmas gift from Steve {thanks babe!}. Dress, Anthropologie. Vintage boots, Ruby Rose. Denim Jacket, gift from a friend, Old Navy. Chunky red necklace, souvenir from England. Bracelet from my shop {love}.

Today’s question–if you were planning an evening out {or staying in} to do whatever you want with friends or for a date–what would you plan?

  1. Every Wednesday I admire your flower print in the background was this a vintage find or would I be able to get one too!!?? 🙂

  2. Whenever I come on by to see what you wore, I come away inspired, and remembering something in my closet that will work in a fun, new way. Every time. Thanks Lisa!!

  3. I would say staying in over going out and I think it would be fun to have some girl friends over and taste wine and cheeses. Ya know everyone could bring something and we could sample it all!

  4. love love love those shoes!
now as to your question –
my husband plays the guitar as do several of our friends (and two of my children and our friend’s son) so my favourite thing to do is to invite everyone over so they can jam and whomever wants can sing along…i serve some lovely apps and a few drinks and its great fun!

  5. Gosh, I love the boots in the second photo! Your outfits inspire me to try to ramp up my wardrobe!

To answer your question, I’d go on a date with my husband to Boston’s North End for Italian!

  6. Lisa, I love everything you wear. You have such great style. I am 5’3″ tall and I’m wondering if I am too short to pull off the dress over jeans look that you wear often. I also look to you for inspiration on wearing boots. Thanks for sharing your great style!

    1. Hi Gina! I think you could totally pull of a dress over jeans. Make sure it’s a pretty short dress over smooth skinny jeans. And you could add a little heel too!
