  2. good question – i can’t think of one now – except maybe my mom – not a celeb but a wonderful role model for me. She died two days before my 26 yr old son was born. i would love to be able to chat with her now that i have two sons, two grandsons. ihave been a widow for a little over a year and would love to talk to her about that. So many things we could share, that i could learn and could get a great hug from her. Also – we could go see the LA Dodgers together! I miss her terribly, but i know that she and my father are together with our Father. again – a great question.

  3. Delores O’Riordon. I love her voice. I was a huge fan of the Cranberries in High school and still enjoy listening to them.

  4. Lucille Ball. I adore Lucille Ball. I would have loved to known her personally because to me she represents a woman who had strength, tenacity, a huge capacity to love and forgive, wisdom, character, and an amazing sense of humor. She was and still is a woman’s woman.

  5. If I could have dinner with a celebrity it would be Vince Gill. I love his music, and I so admire his charitable heart. He seems like such a humble man, and I would love to be his friend. And he seems to adore his wife and who wouldn’t want to be friends with someone who showed such devotion to their spouse???

  6. If I could have dinner with one celebrity, I would have it with Gene Kelly! I would make sure that we went to a place that had dancing, so that I could dance with him because he was so fantastic! Love him! Yum!

  7. I LOVE this question… The first person that came to my mind was Tim Gunn. I adore this man and often fantasize about having a glass of wine with him. Some women imagine spending sexy time with Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, but not me. Dinner would just be icing on the cake.

Although, I would pick Gregory Peck if it meant I could make out with him afterwards… He was so dreamy…

  8. ok..so it would be one big dinner and PRINCESS DIANA, OPRAH, JULIA ROBERTS AND SANDRA BULLOCK. you know, oprah lives so close to us in slo…why hasnt she invited us to lunch:-)

  9. I bought that app after reading about it on Kelle Hampton’s blog, Enjoying the Small Things…. super cool and fun! And I like how it makes my pics look retro and cool….

I would have a meal with Jimmy Stewart. Wonderful actor, military man and all around general nice guy.

What more can ya ask for?

    Have a great weekend,
    Caryl

  10. Do astronauts count as celebrities? Cause I would pick any of the original 7 astronauts….or any who worked through Mercury, Gemini and into Apollo….. =)

  11. Without a second to think – AUDREY HEPBURN. I have always felt a real connection to this gorgeous creature. I adore her for her elegance and poise, her gorgeous face, hair, figure..and tha wonderful sense of humour and humility – oh just everything! Hmmm might have to watch my favourite movie today – Roman Holiday! Big smiles..

  12. Oh, and a hilarious dream story for you, Lisa!
I was telling a friend about your necklaces and blog last night, and also talking about Gwyneth Paltrow’s weekly email called GOOP that I subscribe to. Then I dreamed that you and I were both at a wedding that Gwyneth planned, so she was there, too. I met her, and she was excited to meet me (haha!) and then I met you and you told me that you actually secretly lived in Olympia and not California, so I was so excited that we would be pals! The funniest part, though, is that the wedding favor was a teeny, tiny glass vile, like a test tube, with a cork at the end and 6 plump raisins inside. Gwyneth thought it was her best idea. Huh. Dreamland is a funky place!

  13. Oh all of those pics are just so FUN!
I just love ordinary {but not ordinary in the least} pictures that represent REAL LIFE!
I just know that cup of coffee was good in that diner mug!
    Now…about that celebrity!
    Well really…if I could have dinner with a celebrity…choose a celebrity…i wouldn’t!
I would MUCH prefer dinner with FRIENDS…or Greg!
But if I had to choose!
Well I would choose Doris Day!
Why! Because all my life I have been stopped by strangers letting me know how much I look like Doris Day! Even my Mother and Greg think I am just like her! Especially how she looks and acts {her expressions} in all of her old movies!
Plus…she LOVEs and Adores fur-babies like I do!
She actually wrote me a hand written letter one time!
But that ‘s a long fun story!
But I’d still just rather have dinner with friends!
    Now I must go!
Gotta check out this trip to the LAKE! ;o)
    xo

  14. ummm, it’s a toss up between sara groves and beth moore. i don’t know if either of them really count as “celebrities”. i’ve met them both, but would love to sit down and have a teensy bit more time to chat! that would be fabulous. oh, and lisa leonard too . . . i’d love to have dinner with her 🙂
    blessings,
    shana

  15. Okay, I bought the app. First app I’ve paid for on my iphone! Can’t wait to try it! Still so much to learn on my phone.

I have no idea who I’d have dinner with. I think Maya Angelou would leave a strong impression on me for the rest of my life. But it might be fun to have dinner with another celebrity like Madonna or Oprah. Tiffany’s decision of Audrey Hepburn is also an excellent choice! Such a great woman!

PS – I hope you had time to check out my most recent blog post, Lisa. I just love my necklace!

  16. There are a lot of people I would like to have dinner with but “TODAY” I think it would be Faith Hill. I just think she is so together, down to earth, great mother, wife, singer, etc.. I think we could sit down to a meal and talk like we had been friends our whole life!

  17. Without a doubt- Ina Garten from Barefoot Contessa. I *adore* her! I’d also ask if I could ogle her walk-in sun-lit pantry!

  18. hm…good question. could be all super-religious and say ‘jesus’. or super-girly and say ‘audrey hepburn’ or ‘marilyn monroe’…elvis, maybe? i really wish i could have known my great-grandparents, but they weren’t famous (except in our family…) paul? jackie o? mlk, jr? mother theresa?

hrmph. i just don’t know. i have a hard enough time eating lunch with the people i *do* know.

    xo

  19. Hmmm…interesting question. I almost said Robert Redford because he’s so gorgeous, but then I thought about Princess Diana. I think that would be an interesting dinner.

  20. Hi Lisa!!! I haven’t gone away (well not that you would notice I haven’t been commenting lately) just been consumed with life things but am feeling back to normal – i think!!

Ok how in the heck can you make a picture of a bottle of syrup look so good?? Amazing! You are such in inspiration to me – hmm, have I told you that before??? 🙂

anyway, glad your family got away for a fun vacation – looks like it was lots of fun!! Anyway – to answer your questions about which celebrity I would have dinner with: Definately Audrey Hepburn!!

    Have a good weekend!!
    xoTiffany
