latest obsession with a really yummy frozen yogurt shop

yougurt2yougurt1yougurt3

there is a really yummy frozen yogurt shop around the corner from the boys’ school.  you know it’s bad when your leaving and they call out ‘see you tomorrow!’.  they always have a dairy-free option for david and matthias can pile on as much toppings as he likes (well, until i stop him).  on this particular day i got mint yogurt with chocolate chips–but favorite is chocolate with butterfinger.

other obsessions…lolo’s mexican food with chips and salsa, boots and skirts, icarly (i know, i can’t get enough–i’m a dork!) and pumpkin spice lattes from starbucks.  so tell us, what’s your latest obsession??

  1. Fall TV shows in the evenings after my girls are sleep.
    My husband
Regular & spontaneous hugs & “I love yous” from my almost-three-year-old
    PSL’s at Starbucks
Chocolate chip cake **hanging head in shame**
    Journaling
Selah’s latest CD “You Deliver Me” (even my 2 & 5 year-olds have favorite songs on this album and we listen to it every day on the way to and from Kindergarten.)
    My red purse
    Chocolate brown velour pants

  2. Clara and Megan love iCarly. We watch it together. I think I have seen 30-40 episodes. I find it amusing and love to hear them laugh. It is taped in LA but not before a studio audience. I looked at getting tickets for the girls.

  3. **audio books….Garrison Keillor right now
    **tiffany blue anything
    **Harry Connick Jr
    **snuggles in the evening

  4. My obsession is those little bottles of Mocha Frappuchino’s/Starbucks that you buy in the store. I put them in the fridge……..and I simply love them. I have been known to blend them with ice and put a dollop of cream on top if I want to cheer myself up!

  5. Lucky you – frozen yogurt just isn’t a thing in the UK, but here in Oxford we do have a wonderful icecream shop called George and Danvers – their Greek yogurt and honey ice cream is to die for…

  6. Downloading Mad Men on iTunes and watching it with my husband after the kids have gone to bed. No Starbucks or yoghurt shops around these parts. πŸ™

  7. Oh yes, Starbucks Pumpkin Lattes for sure! And soon their gingerbread, peppermint mocha and eggnog lattes… way too much Starbucks consumption during the holidays for me!

  8. haha my whole family loves iCarly too! i’d say my newest obsession is toms with skinny jeans. i am asking for another pair of toms for christmas!

  9. Obsessing about snuggly sweaters, and Fro Yo. Our very own St. Louis Frozen yogurt shop. It’s delicious!!

  10. Lately, my obsessions are:

your blog (just love your daily posts)
coffee with unsweetened cocoa in it
    decorating for fall
    staying organized

  11. I love this post Lisa, and the pics of the boys with their yogurt! And how cute are those leopard print yogurt cups?? I’ve been meaning to say thank you for including me in your blog. It has meant more to me than you will know πŸ™‚ Wishing you a great week…

  12. our house loves iCarly too. a few weeks ago i was talking to my youngest and ask her if she wants to take a bath.

    “nope.” she replies.

    “how come?” i ask.

“well!! i don’t want to sit in my own filth!!!” she exclaims to me with lots of enthusiasm.

“where on earth did you hear that?” i ask.

    “ohhh. on iCarly.” she says.

πŸ™‚ thankfully she’s back to taking baths again but it took her about a month to know that she wasn’t just sitting in “her own filth”. LOL

  13. oh yum! my latest obsession: my bread machine. it is a wonderful thing when you can throw a few ingredients in your bread machine and have fresh, warm bread in 2 1/2 hours-! with apple butter. : )

  14. Oooohhh, we love Snofari yogurt too! It seems like they have some really creative toppings that i haven’t noticed at other self-serve yogurt places before. Last time i topped my yogurt with flax seeds, soy nuts….and Oreo pieces, because, hey, let’s not get TOO healthy, right?

  15. I am obsessed with Trader Joe’s lite caramel corn, Yhatzee, Peach Fresca, homeschooling, naps, Ingrid Michaelson, my long black sundress, and you.

  16. What a crack-up – “see you tomorrow”. We have decided on a yogurt/ice cream/coffee shop on Redondo Pier is our new obsession. We’ve been to a couple of other yogurt shops, but SO expensive! If you see my blog, you can see I decided on a banana split. Haven’t had one of those in ages – hurt my teeth, but I’m having that taken care of now…another story. But the pier is just full of fun things and this little yogurt shop is just so cute – it’s small, but has just what we need…we do NEED it, right?

  17. fabric. and quilting. but i need to work on everyday pampering like that. it makes my world go ’round! oh, and it needs to be something healthier than little debbie swiss rolls. they really shouldn’t be so important to me! πŸ˜‰

  18. my latest obession is my husband…i just love him more and more everyday….also my new aerobics class…im with you on boots and skirts and tall skinny vanilla lattes from starbucks…maybe ill try pumpkin next time!

  19. That looks divine! And all those toppings…. how yummy!
My latest obsession, since September first, is also pumpkin spice lattes. And really, anything pumpkin πŸ™‚ Trader Joe’s has this pumpkin butter that is to die for!

  20. We love icarly in our house too, but our latest obession is ishine knect. It’s a bible based show for tweens (or me and my four year old), that targets the icarly audience. It’s on TBN on Saturday mornings. We DVR every episode. Check out ishineknect.com. Other than that, I can not get enough iced mochas! I love the Starbuck’s and McDonald’s versions, but both of those are an hour away, so I had to figure out how to make them at home. I found a way to cut the calories down, and now they are my daily mid afternoon pick up!

  21. International Delights Cinnamon Coffee Creamer! In Canada we only have four boring flavours (Southern Butter Pecan, Vanilla, Irish Coffee and something else that’s kinda gross)….but I discovered a whole new world the last time I was across the border. I don’t know why our grocers can’t import different flavours.
Oh and I’m also obsessed with my new Magic Bullet. Who knew a little blender that ACTUALLY blends could make me so happy!

  22. Good lord that yogurt looks good. I have to travel an hour away to our nearest frozen yogurt shop (and Starbucks – mmmmmmm pumpkin spice lattes) but when I do I’m obsessed with their vanilla custard topped with raspberries.

I am currently completely obsessed with Cranberry Hazelnut Raincoast Crisps. http://lesleystowe.com/raincoastcrisps/about/ So yummy, especially with baked brie.

  23. googling iCarly to figure out what that is. . . πŸ™‚

Obsessing about doodling. I know, weird. I saw some doodles used as a really cool design element and gave it a try myself and just can’t stop!

Also, my two little girls’ laughter. Now that the youngest (1) has developed a serious sense of humor, I just love finding ways to get the both of them into a wonderful belly laugh. Pure Joyβ€”untainted.

  24. Too bad your little yogurt shop isn’t around the corner from MY kid’s school . . . I would love to get some dairy-free for my dairy-allergic kiddo! Hmmm, current obsession. That’s tough. Maybe kettle corn, or a Carmel High Rise {basically, a caramel latte with whipped cream} from Caribou Coffee. Good stuff! Oh, and my super-adorable 18-month-old daughter, Anna . . . can’t get enough of her {and her 4 older siblings too, but her especially!}
    Have a great day! {I’ll have to check out icarly now, it would seem}
    Shana

  25. My current obsession is Pampered Chef Sweet Mocha Hazelnut Sprinkles! I could eat them on anything! I ran out and called my sister in an absolute panic needing a “fix”.

  26. Our entire family of six, ages 2 to 43, is obsessed with iCarly! Glad to hear we are not alone. I am currently obsessed with Coffee People Donut Shop coffee, baking cupcakes and letting the kids decorate them, reading Laura Ingalls Wilder with my 10 year old daughter, and playing cards and drinking wine with my husband after the kids go to bed.
