highlights from out trip.

David and I hung out and read magazines.

Daddy and Matty playe d and went potty multiple times. Matty was so excited about being on a plane. He also loved the shuttle bus ride from the car to the airport.

Janine and I got to sneak away and get pedicures one evening.

Watching the cousins laugh and play and enjoy each other.

David explored the entire house, made friends at restaurants and couldn’t keep still!

Janine hosted a jewelry party and I got to meet so many of her sweet friends and neighbors (and we paid for a big chunk of our trip)!

We took the kids to a drive-thru safari in Fossil Rim. It was so fun having the animals roam free while we were caged in the car. The kids loved it!

Other highlights…Janines’s amazing cooking, Danny taking me to Sears to introduce me to some new tools that I can use for jewelry making, Wii, Steve letting me sleep in and waking up to fresh coffee, watching the new Masterpiece Persuasion on PBS, eating brownies, bars and donuts, Spring Creek, and seeing it snow!!

  1. Such a beautiful family! David & Mattie are precious! I absolutely love the zebra pic! Too funny!

    Jennifer 🙂

  2. Love the party inventory! Such adorable stuff…no wonder it got snapped up…so wonderful that David is naturally curious…watching him take literally big leaps is such an inspiration!

  3. Hi Lisa
Looks like a fab time was had by all. The photo’s called “Cousin” are those the Cuties?
    Take care,
Would love to have hosted a party for you, but I’m in South Africa … unless I can persuade you to come visit us … it’s beautiful I promise.
Love your work, you are so talented.

  4. Hey I wonder if that was the same Zebra that ate my left side mirror at Fossil Rim. This is true while driving through and trying to get a photo just like yours a zebra bit off the mirror on my car and kept on ramming his head into the drivers window. Fun times.
We use to go there when we lived in Texas. Good times.

  5. Looks like a fun trip! Love that picture of the zebra up close and personal. Yeah for David – walking all over. That is so wonderful.

Now, we need a tutorial on how you get the text and boxes around your photos. They look great. Is that through iphoto??? i am still learning my way around my mac.

  6. Also, um, HOW does your hair look so great while flying on a plane?! Usually the dry air makes mine full of static, at which point i give up, and pull it back in a ponytail until we land…

  7. So fun!

    *I love David’s coat. Very handsome. 🙂

    * You have a very cute husband! Well, a cute family all the way around.

    * I was wondering…what are people’s reactions when David approaches them? I know that children, especially, must be curious about him. How do you handle any uncomfortable situations? (Btw, i only ask because i know you said previously that you encourage questions. I hope i don’t sound rude! I just think your family is amazing, but know that there obviously are hard times, too.)
