  1. I just decided my word: Bacon.
The hubs and I spent April 2009 – Oct 2010 in a Muslim country where pork was illegal (due to religious beliefs). Since we got back to the states I can’t get enough bacon! ha!

  2. Inspiring word choice! Mine for this year is believe, in myself, in my choices and in God’s plan for me 🙂

  3. My one word for 2011 will be “faith” b/c I need to have more faith that things will work out for the best 🙂

  4. Our family has adopted “JOY” as our theme/word & prayer for 2011. Each night we are gonna sit before bed each night and see what Joy the Lord revealed to each of us on that day!!!!!

  5. Love your word of the year…it is my 9 year old daughter’s name, too 🙂 I just may have to order your necklace! Wishing you and your family much grace, peace, joy and love in the new year.

  6. my One Word for 2011 is look. i want to be more intentional about looking for God in the midst of my pain and heartache. He is here with me but often in less than obvious ways. i want to actively look for Him in the obscure, dark places of my life.

  7. Hope – that’s my word for this year. I have a blessed hope in my Lord and I’m so greatful for it! Thanks Lisa – Happy New Year to you and yours!

  8. There seems to be a problem with the website, have tried several times and cannot order the necklace. My word this year is STORY as I attempt to record our daily family life with my camera. Please advise, cannot wait to get my necklace!

  9. In a matter of weeks, days…moments, really…we’ll be welcoming our 4th baby.

    My word for 2011 is

    Peace.

    Be still.

I want to be present and note the everyday sparkle with my children.

  10. I purchased your other necklace that says, “By Grace Alone” and I absolutely love it. I may have to add this one to my collection.

  11. I choose for this year “Life”

I will live it to the fullest…
I will do something outside my comfort zone…
I will not be afraid to run full force into the unknown!
I will throw off the encumbrances from the past year and start this year fresh and anew!

  12. My word for 2011, the year in which I turn 40, is BALANCE. I am striving to achieve balance in my life between work/home, family/me and to balance my finances, my faith and health and wellbeing.

  13. Beautiful! While journaling this morning, I discovered my word for 2011: LESS

I just received your Be Still necklace a couple weeks ago, which I love. The words on back remind me to slow down and Be Still, to listen for God. The single twig and single bird on the necklace remind me of Less. 🙂

  14. Hey Lisa, love this! I also wanted to drop in and tell you I ordered three necklaces from you for Christmas and received your Brave Love…..LOVE IT! I’ve worn it everyday and wanted you to know I blogged about it today. Thanks for sharing such inspiration from a special story. Can’t wait to see what all you do in 2011!
    -shaunna 🙂

  15. Happy New Year! I have chosen the word “simplify”. I’m going to keep only the things that we love and need in our house. I’m giong to document it along the way on my blog! An added bonus for me, because I do love to rearrange the furniture in our home. My husband is so used to this now! Love this idea Lisa!

  16. I love that you are doing this again this year…

I can’t decide on my word yet, but am thankful that you are getting me thinking of one.

    Possibly:
    write
    present
    true

Hmmm, so many good ones to contemplate!

  17. My word is Thanksgiving. Definitely need to refocus on all the Lord has blessed me with in the past and trust in His goodness and provision. What a great necklace Lisa!

  18. my word for 2011 is “pause.” this year, I want to remind myself to stop, drink-in, and appreciate all of the blessings that God has given me – and to no get easily caught-up in the hecticness of day-to-day life.

  19. my word is going to be…brave. there are so many things i have not accomplished for fear of failing and i hope this year i will be brave enough to tackle and complete all the tasks that i have in mind for example getting my driver’s license!

  20. Mine word is ‘grace’ as well. I’ve been eyeing Ali’s workshop, but it is just not in the budget right now. I chose the word ‘grace’ when I was thinking about taking the workshop. I love your necklace. It is perfect. My husband and children just gave me one of your necklaces for Christmas this year and I am so taken with it’s simplicity and timeless design. This one is no exception.

  21. I’m choosing “Focus” for my word in 2011. And this is the first year that my word “found” me. I’m really excited about my word and can’t wait to see what 2011 has planned for me! Happy New Year to everyone!

  22. Beautiful necklace, Lisa! My word for 2011 is “change”. I want to make changes, welcome & embrace changes, and be accepting of changes.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year…..fresh with new possiblities! =D

  23. I love the word Grace and had actually wrote it on my little chalkboard in my kitchen so I can see it everyday. I want to extend grace to others, grace to myself and thank God for the grace He gives me. Your blog is such an inspiration to me!

  24. Hmmmmm I’ve been thinking about this since earlier this afternoon…and finally decided… my word is hopeful…no matter what happens I want to always be full of hope.

  25. my word for 2011 is “change” . or rather even “changes”.
i can feel them coming and they are welcome 🙂

  26. My word for 2011 is “RECOVERY”, well that is what I put on my Reverb post earlier in the month. Although it sounds a little awkward, and I’m not in recovery for anything. I’m just trying to recover from the “CHAOS” of 2010.

  27. Beautiful design!!! I think my word for the year would be Rest. I need to take more time to rest in Christ and let Him take control! And as a mom just plain old rest is always a good thing too 🙂

  28. PATIENCE….

I’ve been waiting 15yrs. for something to happen unfortunately, it’s not in my hands to make happen, so have to Wait….

    I often think of this:
“God grant me the serenity to accept the things i cannot change; courage to change the things i can; and wisdom to know the difference. —R. Niebuhr

  29. I have never participated in this project, but look forward to reading about it! Just this morning I thought about what I want 2011 to be for me & my word is : grow.

First and foremost, I want to grow my hair!

But really, I want to grow my dream of being my own boss & having a successful home business doing what I love.

And I look forward to watching my family grow as my boys mature & we get to do more fun things together!

  30. I have found your blog through a friend of mine and have grown very fond. You have inspired me. I love your new necklace and the idea behind choosing a word for the year. I’m going to put some thought into my word and get back to you. Thanks!

  31. Trust: Trusting God with everything, not just what I choose to trust Him with. Trusting the abilities He’s gifted me with. Resting in the fact that trusting Him brings freedom.

  32. persevere – we are going to be starting the adoption process in september, when our youngest turns one. We have told friends and family and I know that I will need to persevere to get through it. I am scarred about everything from fundraising to filling out paper work. Perseverance will def. be needed this upcoming year.

  33. I love the new design! 🙂 Great work Lisa! I’ve been participating in Ali’s project for the past 3 years and always love it!

This year I’ve chosen MOMENT for my word. As in: be in the moment, savor the little moments, be concerned less with the past and future and focus on this moment right now. 🙂

  34. Great necklace! My word of the year will be MAMA, since I’ll be a mother to our firstborn. Can’t wait to start in my new role!

  35. Hi Lisa!!

I cannot believe its going to be a new year already!

My word for 2011, well I am still trying to figure that one out!!! Love the new necklace! And so enjoy your blog and words and pictures and encouragement!

    Have a blessed weekend!
    xoTiffany

  36. enough. Love, love this necklace. This is the second year I have chosen a word. I love seeing what God has to teach me about my chosen word.

  37. Grace is the word of my life, actually, because i was raised to believe my Lord was a harsh, judgemental Lord until taught otherwise. I have things all over my home with the word Grace on them 🙂 so, i think this is a GOOD pick! 🙂 Happy New Year!
