Hmmm…cake-face-smashing…my husband and I didn’t do this on our wedding day either so, I guess I’m a “no”. But I do love a kiss after the new mr. & mrs. have each had a bite of that very special dessert. What a great idea for forks – useful AND lovely idea, Lisa!

  2. rebecca says:

Oh, how beautiful they are! I wish I’ll be one of the lucky winners… I love cake:-)

  3. Lola says:

I think is fun, but personally i would not do it on my wedding!! :)

  4. Gotta say…not a fan. Why take a classy event {such as your wedding} and dress in down with smashing cake all over each other. Stay classy my friends!

    sidenote…LOVE the cake forks!

  5. Brittany says:

I’m pro cake smashing so long as it’s done classically, I think a little smashing goes a long way. I think it should be only around the mouth that the cake is smashed so you get a mushy kiss but if it goes any farther than that it’s no bueno.

  6. sandy johnson says:

I don’t like cake smashing. I think that it detracts and cheapens a wedding. The bride no longer looks beautiful with cake smashed on her face.

  7. Tina says:

My husband wanted to, but I said no. I spent to much time on hair and make-up to have creamy/oily frosting all over my face. I do enjoy it when I see other couples smash!

  8. erica says:

i’m a no cake face smashing gal.
while i think it is fun & silly – i’m positive i would have been livid if my husband would have smashed cake in my face at our wedding!!

ps. LOVE the forks. how fun would it be to frame them in a shadow box frame! even if you are already married you could put mr.& mrs. on one & your wedding date on another. LOVE these!

  9. So sweet – I love those!!

I do not think that a bride and groom should smash cake. Not nice at all. Too disrespectful of the hair, makeup, and dress!!At our wedding, the best man REALLY wanted my husband to smash cake on me. He talked about it all the time and it was driving me crazy. So, we devised a plan. When the special moment arrived, my husband acted like he was going to give me the bite of cake, but instead, he quickly turned around and smashed it on the best man. It was perfect. =)

  10. laura says:

love those forks! so cute! i am not married but i don’t think i would want to have cake smashed in my face at my wedding, and i probably wouldn’t do it do my groom πŸ˜‰

  11. amber says:

Didn’t do it. We’ve been married almost 13 years now so we wouldn’t need the “happy together” forks (although I think those are just the cutest things ever!) Maybe I’d give them as a gift to the next wedding we get invited to. They’re perfect!

  12. Kathleen G. says:

I didn’t want to have cake on my face so I’m a “No”, too. But I think it’s funny when others do it :)

  13. Ellen says:

    We’ve been married a long time-29 years! We didn’t cake smash and I’m glad-I think it’s mean.

Forks would be a great anniversary gift to each other!

  14. Pipsqueak says:

Umm – not sure what cake smashing is. I must be living under a rock!

Love the forks though…they’d make a great anniversary present too.

  15. Eric says:

Groom’s view: “no”, too. To me, it was a sign of love for my new bride to respectfully feed her in a dignified way. I didn’t want to do anything to lessen the beauty that she exuded that night (and every night, actually…).

  16. FunkySteph says:

I am a NO cake smashing and didn’t knew it existed.

I Love the forks, great idea!

  17. goldnuggt says:

I say “no way” to the cake smashing proposition! I would love to be fed from a set of those forks though!

  18. Melanie says:

the very day we got engaged, i made my husband promise — PROMISE!! — two things: 1) that he would never push me into water — so not funny; and 2) that we would be gentle with our wedding cake — no smashing. he has kept both promises to this day :-)

  19. Jessica says:

I am in the anti- “cake smashing” camp.

  20. Marilyn says:

I certainly have no problem with other people doing it, but I steer clear of it.

  21. Amber r says:

At my wedding, I tried to cake smash my hubby but he moved and the cake ended up hitting the wall. I don’t think the clean up staff were too happy!

  22. Joan Brown says:

I am not a fan of cake smashing. At our wedding 31 years ago there was no cake smashing.

  23. Rachael B says:

I think it’s funny to watch other people do the whole cake smashing thing, but I won’t be doing it! The forks are so cute!

  24. Heather says:

No, not good . . . we eloped but when we came back for a party there was no cake smashing between us!

  25. Becky says:

LOVE these. Not a fan of cake smashing!!! But if it makes the bride happy, go for it!

  26. Dianne says:

Love these forks! I know several couples in our church who are getting married in the next few months, and I’d love to be able to gift them with these…if i win, of course! My husband and I most assuredly did NOT smash cake. Way way way way too concerned about how I looked that day to smash cake :)

  27. Southern Gal says:

Love the forks! We did no cake smashing either. Although there was a bit of icing that got on my husbands face. I don’t know how. πŸ˜‰ If the bride is up for it, then by all means they should go for it. I witnessed one bride and groom fight to the bitter end with cake pieces. It was hilarious and they were laughing through the whole thing. So, yeah, if it’s your thing go for it!

  28. Robin says:

Hate it! Hate it! Hate it! Childish! Dumb! Stupid!
We, too, did not do that and have been together for , this year, 37 years!!

  29. Jennifer says:

We smashed at my wedding, but it was by my husband’s choice. We hadn’t talked about it prior (dumb me) and he got me so I had to get him back :)

  30. Bonnie says:

those forks are so cool. my husband and i will be celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary and would love to eat something off those! (something chocolatey perhaps? :) )

  31. Laura says:

Anti cake smashing! The whole point of feeding each other cake is to symbolize that you will take care of (and feed!) each other’s needs. If you cake smash, what are you saying to each other about that?

  32. Steph says:

My husband and I did not do a cake smash. It’s not our style, but I wouldn’t throw stones…or cake…at anyone that did it.

  33. abi says:

No face smashing for us – we did cupcakes and didn’t even really do the whole feed them to each other thing.

  34. Katie says:

No to the cake-smashing idea! At least not for us!
Love the fork idea….really clever and cute!

  35. Megan LaBelle says:

Love these forks, but I do not love cake smashing – much nicer to feed each other a bite!

  36. KarenLR says:

I never understood the point of pushing cake into someone’s face. Is it supposed to be cute? Or am I missing something?
Thirty one years after I ate cake with my college sweetie, we are still best friends in love. We have four young adult children who are doing good things in the world. We are deeply blessed.
“deeply blessed” might be my choice of two words…
This is a generous and sweet giveaway, Lisa!

  37. Dawn says:

I vote for no cake smashing of the bride and groom. At our wedding, just as everyone expected us to smash the cake in each others faces, we turned and smashed it in the face of the best man and maid of honor…no one expected that! Would love to win the cake forks for my brother in law and his sweet fiance!!

  38. Gina says:

I love the forks and wish I had those 25 years ago – how sweet! hubby and I warned each other not to smash cake, but he never promised not to put a huge glob of cake in my mouth! It didn’t get all over my face, though. (: I think smashing is a little disrespectful – the feeding each other the cake is symbolic and smashing is not a good omen…

  39. Susan B. says:

These are really, really beautiful Lisa! Thanks for such a wonderful giveaway!

And no, no cake smashing for us either. I can’t believe we’ve been married 25 years now! My how time flies!

  40. Lori says:

No. Cake. Smashing!! We are getting married on May 27 and would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these beautiful forks for our teeny tiny wedding :)

  41. Sarah A. says:

No cake smashing for us! Even though it’s supposed to be playful, it always looks a little bit rude (like the groom is getting back at the bride for all the pre-wedding craziness :)!

  42. the forks are so clever! i see picnics, i see birthday forks, i see good behavior forks, great idea! and no, i am not a cake smasher personally…no likey.

  43. Jen says:

No cake smashing for us…but to each his own. Some people think its hilarious…I honestly didn’t want to ruin my makeup :) My little 4 year old is a ringbearer in a wedding this summer and your forks would be a great present for the new mr. and mrs.

  44. MichelleF says:

adorable gift idea!! I’m also in the no-smashing-cake-group!

  45. Jessica says:

I am not a cake smashing fan. I think the moment is meant to be sweet. Plus who wants to mess up their wedding day make-up with cake all over their face? The forks are beautiful! Such a unique idea! Thanks!

  46. Laura {{* *}} says:

    Cake smashing is rude, power-grabbing.

The cake eating is a symbol of serving each other
a beautiful picture of the years to come.

    The forks are lovely.

    {{* *}}

  47. Sallie E. says:

I’ve always thought cake smashing was silly, but when the time arrived, I just couldn’t resisting smearing chocolate icing all over hubby’s face. I tried, but I just couldn’t resist!

  48. Tiffany says:

No cake smashing for me….but I love the forks.

  49. Lin says:

Have never liked cake smashing–it ruins what should be a beautiful day. Beautiful forks!

  50. Claire says:

I love those forks! They would make such a special gift :)

I’m not a cake-smasher I think, but it can be funny and cute if the couple involved enjoy it!

  51. Kara says:

I just love these forks! What a great idea!
I’m not a fan of cake-smashing. I guess it can be fun to watch as a guest, but it doesn’t seem very romantic or respectful for the bride and groom…

  52. kimberly b says:

we didn’t do cake smashing. i don’t personally like it – but it does just kind of fit some couples’ personalities. so good for them :)

  53. Melissa says:

I will not be a happy bride if my fiance smashes cake in my face, but I think he knows that :) Love these forks! I think they’re perfect, can’t wait to find out how the fiance wants to personalize them, I definitely need these for the wedding!

  54. faith says:

Not a fan of smashing the cake; too much trouble and expense on the dress, hair and make up. It’s the bride’s one day to be elegant and beautiful. Love the forks !!!

  55. Gina says:

I think cake-smashing is totally great if that exemplifies the nature of the couple. If they’re funloving and irreverant, then they should embrace their cake-smashing with gusto! :)

  56. Gina says:

these forks would make awesome host/hostess gifts!

  57. rhea says:

i don’t like cake smashing – at least not at weddings! love the forks though! so creative!!! would love to win, even i have been married for almost 17 years.

  58. jujy says:

Cake-face smashing? NO WAY. Ugh, all that cream and frosting all over your makeup AND PORES! I’ll be honest, all I can think is “pimples!!” I’m also pretty OCD about getting my hands dirty and/or sticky. I’m all about using forks, albeit beautiful customized forks! XD

  59. heather blausey says:

I think a little icing on the nose is OK but hate a full-on cake smash. Adorable forks! This year is our 10th anniversary and we’re renewing our vows – the forks would be a great gift for my hubby!

  60. Katie says:

Not a big fan of the cake smashing… getting married in June and really hoping the Mr. isn’t a fan as well. Maybe I should ask. :)

  61. Amy says:

I heart these forks!!! So cute! We were not cake smashers. I’m not for or against it. I think it totally depends on the personality of the couple.

  62. Tracy says:

I LOVE the forks. So cute.
No No No to cake smashing. I think it is so disrespectful! There are so many other fun things to do…

  63. EmilyL. says:

oooo, I’m getting married in 18 days! I have already warned that there should be NO face cake smashing :) the forks are precious!

  64. Patti says:

Forks are adorable. No to cake smashing…

  65. lesley says:

No smashing….or atleast I hope! We are getting married August 27th 2011! :)

  66. Danielle T says:

I’m not a fan of cake smashing.
I think the forks are fantastic! I’d love to get them for my family….thanks for something fun to ponder throughout the day.

  67. Kerri says:

I love the forks….as for the cake smashing it’s great fun to watch other people do it but I told my husband if he smashed cake in my face the marriage would be over before it started :)

  68. Megan says:

There were two things that were off limits at me and my sister’s weddings– cake smashing and pulling off a garter (where the hubby goes under the wedding dress). Those were my mom’s rules, and we all stuck to them!

  69. I’m not a fan of cake in the face. I don’t really see the point … who wants to be picking cake out of their eyelashes and hair on their wedding day?

The forks are GORGEOUS and I would love to have a set!

  70. Cindy says:

I always thought cake face smashing was a no-no, but 21 years ago when I got married we couldn’t resist just a little bit of cake on the face — very little :)

The forks are a Fabulous idea!

  71. Andrea says:

I absolutely love the forks! Such a great idea, Lisa! It’s a no go on the cake face smashing for me. Husband knew it too so we ever so sweetly fed each other our cake. :)

  72. Anna G says:

These forks are crazy cute and such a good idea. I am a non-cake smasher. I didn’t do it at my wedding nor did I even feel tempted.

  73. Paige Anderson says:

Cake Smashing is definately a personality thing. It’s your wedding…do what you want. As for me…not so much a fan of cake in my face. ha!

  74. angelina says:

darling forks. i love them. so sentimental. cake smashing is out of date. lame. love x!

  75. maggie b. says:

No cake face smashing for me … what a waste of cake!
Love the forks … fingers crossed!

  76. Jessica says:

Love these forks and have a special family member getting married talk about the perfect gift.

Face mashing is perfect with the right people around to appreciate it…luckily we are just silly enough to pull it off.

  77. Amy says:

I say no to cake smashing…the forks are delightful!

  78. Caroline says:

I’m from the UK and have never before heard of this wedding tradition!! I think I would have been very upset if my husband had done it (not that he would have done!! – for that very reason)
The forks, however, are absolutely lovely – we still have two dried roses from my bouquet and Dave’s roses from his button hole displayed in display boxes above our bed, how lovely to have personalised forks from the ceremony!

  79. Love these! So sweet!

I’ve already made my love promise NOT to smash cake on my face…and he knows better. πŸ˜‰

  80. Amanda says:

I don’t think it is the best idea at a formal wedding…at a casual event, why not? The forks are beautiful :)

  81. Linda says:

don’t like the cake smashing, love the forks

  82. Sheila says:

We promised not to cake smash–but I was still worried someone would dare him into it. All went as planned :)

  83. sarah says:

lisa, the forks are so, so fun! i can’t wait til the day i’m planning my wedding and can shop all of your amazing stuff (:

my boyfriend and i err on the silly, so i am imagining some cake-face-smashing will be a must… at least below the nose!

  84. Jessica says:

i am not a fan of cake face smashing.

  85. Sandy says:

Love the forks – this year will be our 21st anniversary. I have to admit that I did cake smash – but only to get back at my husband for making the entire wedding party stop at White Castle and go inside (including the photographer) for a snack before getting some nice outdoor photos of the wedding party. So not a White Castle fan. I also witnessed one cake smashing (not ours) that ruined the bride’s make-up and hair. So not a fan of cake smashing anymore.

  86. Chrissy says:

No Cake smashing here! Although I do enjoy a little icing on the lips or nose afterwards for a little kiss :)

  87. Becky says:

Love the forks!!! My hubby and I did partake in the cake smashing, but he started it. One of my FAVORITE pics from our wedding day is our faces covered in cake and us laughing hysterically! What a great memory!

  88. Dia says:

Personally I love it! Hubby’s not so on board, though, so it was a one-sided cake-smashing at our wedding! ha ha! the pictures are hilarious, and that’s what really counts, right? Maybe if we’d had these fancy forks we could have been more dignified about it! :-)

  89. connie says:

Oh these would be a perfect gift for my nieces upcoming June wedding.

  90. Kathleen says:

Um, yeah, cake in the face is not ok in my book. Just too messy. Those forks, though, are so precious!

I am not a cake person so my hubby and I fed each other white chocolate covered strawberries.

  91. Vicki says:

No cake-smashing at our wedding, but John did put a tiny spot of frosting on my nose. :) Love the fancy, fabulous forks!

  92. Christine says:

Personally, I wouldn’t want a cake smashed into my face at my wedding. It’s definitely something that should be discussed beforehand!

  93. Anne says:

I don’t really get it. Why do you want to smash cake in someones face…especially the bride who is all dressed up (and “made up”) for the special day. That said…my husband (29 years in Feb) thought it was great fun…and I knew that…and I figured..if that what he wants to do…I can give him that. So I did. My poor mother! haha But it wasn’t that bad and for whatever reason John really wanted to do it…the first in a long list of give and take…which works in the long run.

  94. Ah mah gahd I LOVE it and think I need it for my June wedding. Now if only I had it in my budget! haha!

Too bad I can’t register for it. :(

  95. Beth Baugher says:

We did not smash it was more like a loving cake smear. I paid too much money for my dress to get cake on it:) I wouldn’t have minded smashing it in my husbands face though:) The forks are awesome!!

  96. Cathy D. says:

No cake smashing…lots of cake eating! Love the forks…love wedding week! I have ordered the pewter heart for a few of my summer wedding gifts….really love it!

  97. Christine says:

    Tweeted the giveaway!

Would love to win these forks for my sister who is getting married in August!

  98. Theresa carlile says:

I think it’s horrible. You pay all that money for make up and pics. My hubby was sweet and didn’t do it. I love that man!!

  99. Cait says:

I’m all for smashing, but small pieces and both mr. and mrs. have to be equally enthusiastic. Nothing worse than a fuming mrs. with half a cake in her hair to kick of a life of bliss!

  100. Cait says:

    I’ve tweeted :)

  101. Jacque says:

No smashing cake in my face while I am wearing the dress that I spent so much time picking out and getting altered! But I have a feeling that my fiancee will probably be into it when we get married in September. Love the spoons! πŸ˜‰

  102. Cait says:

And Facebooked :) (I love how pretty much anything can be made into a verb.)

  103. Dena says:

I personally didn’t want cake smashed in my face and my wish was respected. For certain couples it just seems fitting. I have some really good friends getting married soon and these would be the perfect pre-wedding gift!

  104. Theresa carlile says:

  105. Melissa says:

Not a fan of cake-smashing here, but to each his own, right? :) My husband and I had a lot of goofy, fun moments at our reception without the mess!

    Love the forks!!

  106. Ulrikke says:

We had no kake smashing for 9 years ago. But i enjoy a bit of kake on the lips;) I love the forks.

  107. Theresa carlile says:

  108. mary says:

to smash or not to smash …. totally individualized in my opinion. personally? maybe a tiny little smush, but not an all over face plant. lol.

  109. Really NOT into cake-face-smashing at weddings…

Little kids birthday parties? Hands down! Bring on the food fight even! lol

Your cake forks are adorable! Our anniversary just pasted and this would be a cute something to have for ourselves since we didn’t actually have a chance to do anything for our anniversary.

  110. megan says:

not a fan myself, thankfully my hubs listened :) the forks are adorable! love them!

  111. Dawn says:

Not so much for the smashing, but my brother, at his reception, did tap his brides nose with the cake and left a dollop of frosting on the tip of her nose. The pictures of her laughing with frosting on her nose are some of the sweetest photos of the whole event.

  112. Kara says:

Not a fan of the “cake in the face”… but a huge fan of your forks!!!! What a simply romantic touch~ you have such a special magic to your creativity.

  113. Sharrin says:

The forks are lovely! I am solidly a no cake smasher girl. As someone else said, seems mean! Also not elegant and I like elegant.

  114. ann in indy says:

I don’t like the cake smashing. My son is getting married on April 30 and I think I will order these, of course, unless I win. Really, really cute and fun!

  115. Beverly says:

Not a fan of cake smashing! In fact, neither was my mother and before my wedding, she specifically told my husband-to-be that if he smashed the cake in my face, he’d have his mother-in-law to deal with! :)

  116. Heather N says:

I am not for cake smashing. At all.

I am, however, all about the forks. They are just lovely.

    Thanks for the giveaway!!!

  117. Rebecca says:

LOVE the cake forks!! DO not love cake smashing….

  118. gboll says:

Love the forks…my daughter is getting married in June! And I do not like cake smashing. =P

  119. Erin Hamilton says:

Definitely not into cake smashing myself but I have seen some amazingly funny photos from weddings that did it!We had cake forks like these at my wedding that said Mr and Mrs on them and were tied with ribbon by the cake knife and server. I loved the idea and I think a lot of people at my wedding really liked it too!

  120. Anne says:

I’m getting married May 14! Cake-face-smashing is fun to watch, but I’d rather not have cake smeared all over my face. My fiancΓ© feels the same way, thankfully. No cake-face-smashing for us!

  121. not really our style, either. What an AWESOME product to add to your shop. Love it!

  122. Teri says:

These forks are a wonderful idea! So pretty and clever. I think the bride has worked very hard to look pretty and I really cringe when the groom puts cake in her face.

  123. Ashley says:

    How cute!

I’m not opposed to it. We’re getting married in April and if it happens, it happens. But if it’s done… it’s an all war! ;]

  124. Chris L. says:

Gotta say “no” to cake smashing. Love the forks…would love to “have my cake and eat it too” right off those stunning forks.

  125. I hate cake smaching but thats just me. I always cringe when I see a couple do it b/c of the cost that goes into a wedding dress, etc… However, I guess I have a double standard b/c Ive seen couples run into the ocean or body of water for their photos after the wedding and I had completely different thoughts on that…thought it was so neat.
    I LOVE these forks!

  126. Michelle says:

My sister’s getting married in Sept. and I think the cake smashing could go either way. I, personally, am not a smasher but it’s such an individual event open to LOTS of expression.

  127. Taylor says:

So cute!!! Love these. I would get the mr./mrs.!!

  128. Kelly says:

I remember sweetly telling my daughter and her future husband that if there was cake smashing there would be a bill in their hands for their wedding… πŸ˜‰
And now the son’s getting married… Yikes! Where does time go?!?!? :)

  129. Lisa says:

Not a fan of the cake smashing. We didn’t do i t at our wedding.

  130. Amanda M. says:

We had a little cake smashing… but our plan was to get the maid of honor and best man… but they were highly uncooperative to get next to us… hmmmm… so the hubs and I got each other a little.

  131. Liz H says:

I’m getting married in September….the fiance and I haven’t talked yet about cake smashing. I may have to do it at the cake tasting, though, just to get it out of my system. The custom forks are a great idea!

  132. Robbin says:

We didn’t do it at our wedding. Not sure how I feel about it, though. More on the don’t like side I think. I love the forks. Now that I’m looking for wedding stuff for my daughter, Danielle, I’m excited to see what else you have to offer. DEFINITELY getting the heart.

  133. Tamara says:

these are so beautiful!! i’m not a huge fan of the cake/face smashing. i know it’s suppose to be playful and fun…but i like the bride and groom just feeding each other a bite of cake while gazing into each others eyes…more romantic. :)

  134. Marcy says:

I love the forks Lisa! What a fantastic idea! I’m not a fan of cake smashing, my hubby and I were nice to each other. :) But I do like cake!

  135. Rae says:

So lovely! We did do the finger-feed at our wedding, but avoided the messy faces :)

  136. Marcy says:

I shared it on my FB page!

  137. April says:

My husband was absolutely against the cake smashing. I hadn’t thought much of it before the wedding, but he was so against it. It is funny to see some couples do it though.

    And, those forks are precious!!

  138. Jessica says:

    LOVE LOVE LOVE these!

  139. corinne says:

I am all for cake smashing!!! (And yet, we didn’t do it.) :( Love the forks – I also think they’d be such a fun personalized gift to a person going off to college!

  140. Marcy says:

    I blogged about it. :)

  141. Janet says:

The forks are a beautiful idea. They are such a keepsake!
I think the cake smashing definitely needs to be an agreed upon thing by both bride and groom. Personally, I am not a fan of it.

  142. redheadkate says:

    Cake smashing – absolutely not!

  143. StacieB. says:

I HATE cake smashing. My husband did put a tiny bit of frosting on my nose, but that was all he would get away with πŸ˜‰

  144. Jessie says:

I’m not sure how I feel about it. I think it would be funny if my future husband did it to me, but I wouldn’t want him to.

  145. Wylie says:

I am not into the cake smashing thing at all! Think it’s kinda gross!

  146. Kim says:

It puzzles me how cake smashing became part of the cake sharing experience – seems like a food fight frat stunt – way too much time and effort spent on the wedding look to ruin it – there are still lots of pictures to be taken.

  147. Pam says:

Oh no smashing! At least for us.

Lisa I love those forks! I saw them on an earlier post of yours and was trying to figure out where they came from….silly me.

Thanks for the chance to win-

  148. Tina says:

Love the forks. What a great keepsake. We didn’t do any cake smashing. I am not a fan of it either. How nice it would be to give your new spouse a bite of cake with these special forks!

  149. Dyan says:

I think the forks are so pretty – perfect memory keepsake.Umm, cake smashing . . . can’t say that I like it. I think it’s more romantic to gently give each other cake – perhaps with a kiss:)

  150. Jenna says:

not a fan of cake smashing. i heard on the radio there was a study showing people who did smash the cake had a higher divorce rate. interesting! love the forks!

  151. nicole s says:

I’m thinking that smashing is okay, as long as there is NO cake on the dress or tux/suit….
    Love Love Love the forks!

  152. shannon stinson says:

i think to each his own. it wasn’t for me….but for some people…you would expect nothing less! and btw…i love the forks! while i am now married i would love to have them with our names…or “happy birthday” or something along those lines! so cute!

  153. julie says:

Love the forks…such a great keepsake for a special couple!! My husband and I had a small wedding and no cake….so these forks would be perfect for our upcoming anniversary! No smashing for us…..Thanks for the chance to win!!

  154. Laura says:

We did not smash cake at our wedding. It would have been very messy! We had chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and raspberry filling. A perfect cake for a fall wedding! I would have loved to have these forks so I would love to give them to a very close friend who is currently deployed and is asking his girlfriend to marry him when he gets back in 3 months. A perfect gift for a new couple!

  155. I’m not a fan of cake smashing (although I love it when other people do it & more so when the wife is the first to smash lol) but since Hubs and I are renewing our vows this summer before he deploys again I might just get him good πŸ˜‰
Love the forks! Will have to add those to my ‘must get’ list for the ceremony!

  156. Love the forks!! What a special gift, I love that idea. You’re brilliant. πŸ˜‰

We didn’t smash cakes, I was told if I did that he would and I was already a hot mess thanks to 100 degree wedding day! Plus, it was sweet just to feed each other.

  157. Julie says:

We didn’t smash cake at our wedding, but it’s not a big deal to me if others choose to. Love the forks!

  158. Lorena says:

Beautiful forks, would have to have them if planning my wedding. Smashing cake on one another is silly. I could tolerate a tiny bit of playfully missing the mouth while feeding your love but that is as much as I would do.

  159. Ann says:

No cake in the face for us. The forks are beautiful.

  160. Tara says:

No cake smashing for us either! Would love to win these to use as a wedding gift.

  161. Regina says:

love these forks, what a wonderful and creative wedding gift.

we just smashed a little, just for fun, not a big mess, just enough for lots of laughter. i agree with some of the others – too much time spent on makeup etc. to ruin it all with cake. we are about to celebrate our 21st. these forks would be wonderful to have for our 25th – i plan on a big party for that one.

  162. Carly says:

These forks are adorable! We aren’t married yet, but I’ve got to admit I’m not a huge fan of the cake smashing…a waste of delicious cake and unless you wear an apron/tons of towels and napkins…so much risk of ruining a beautiful dress! I think we’d both much rather eat some delicious cake :)

  163. Bethany Rogers says:

These forks are so endearing! What a wonderful idea, Lisa!
No cake smashing for us. Others can do as they like … it’s just sad to them get cake in their hair or on their dress … Usually, it’s a funny moment :)

  164. Karen says:

I love these forks! And i would totally use them to feed each other, not a big fan of the cake-smash!

  165. Kristen w. says:

Mmnm, cheesecake! That sounds delish! I’m in the anti-cake-smashing group.

  166. Stephanie says:

Ok so I always have found it very entertaining when it was done to someone else (especially over lunch at a Mexican restaurant with ample tequila shots) but being a soon-to-be bride (04-23-11) and imagining having shmutz on my face that was so carefully painted makes me change my mind!! My wedding is the one day I will be the canvas – that is why these people are called ‘makeup artisits’ and although I will wash it off before bed that night (I swear I would wear it through the honey moon if that was feasible and non pore-clogging!) I want to maintain my makeup as a precious painting would be maintained in a museum. I will amply warn me dear future hubby that if he wants a cake fight it’s on..just back in the hotel room or at our 1 year anniversary (although I won’t want to waste the yumminess – we’ll have to invest in a decoy cake).

  167. Jenna says:

    I feel great about! :-)

  168. Margaret T. says:

I am not a fan of smashing face cake smashing. I think it is new bride or groom clean up a little crumb in the corner of a mouth than smash it all over their face.

  169. These are so beautiful! We did not partake in the cake smashing at our wedding – I didn’t want to get all messed up and I just wanted to enjoy the beautiful, delicious cake I had designed!

  170. diana says:

Love love love the forks but NOT the cake smashing!!

  171. Kristen says:

Oh man…these are about 4.5 years too late. My husband and I fed each other cake with forks and these would have been a perfect keepsake. Everyone was impressed that we didn’t stab each other on accident. I personally am not a fan of cake smashing {there’s nothing funny about the bride & groom getting all messy}.

  172. Kels says:

I like cake smashing every other day of the year except the wedding day. But then again it depends on the couple’s personality!

  173. Aubrey says:

My fiance and I agree cake-smashing is not cool. Some people get too crazy with it in the hair and on their clothes! You know, the ones you see on America’s Funniest Home Videos. I love these special forks!

  174. Jennifer says:

Very sweet forks! I am a no cake smashing kind of gal, for sure. I think it takes away from all of the beauty.

  175. Cherie says:

I love it, but banned my husband from doing it at our wedding!

  176. Anne says:

    cake sharing –> Yes

    Smashing –> not so sure

    new forks –> absolute must!

  177. sarita says:

i hate the cake smashing. i think it’s disrespectful. i DO love the cake forks! What a great idea. and i’m thinking of getting a set for my son and his wife for their 5th wedding anniversary! i just think this is a great idea! wish i knew someone getting married! thank you for a chance to win some.

  178. Andrea says:

No thanks! I’ve always thought it takes away from the sweetness. Love the forks!

  179. sarita says:

Ugh !! not a fan of cake smashing .. such a special time in ones life who wants to get messy with cake on your face !! please carefully place my cake in my mouth ! yum much better place to smash it !!! Love the forks !! I can’t afford much on a tight budget but , they would be awesome for my 34 th anniversary …. love your ideas lisa you are a true bright star in this dim world !!

  180. Dionna says:

Those are awesome! I’d love a pair. I think I’d have mine say “special moment” or “special memory.” :)

I personally don’t like cake smashing. I don’t tend to lean towards things that make you laugh AT another person.

  181. Kathryn says:

Not a fan of the cake smashing at all. The forks on the other hand. Love the idea!!

  182. Debbie K says:

I love watching it, but then feel so bad about all the work that went into looking so good -haha. We did not do it at our wedding. Come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever really seen one live – only on T.V.!

  183. Alina says:

I am always ok with with a little smashing on the lips but not all over the face. The cake forks are beautiful, how fun….

  184. Dasha says:

not fan of an idea of cake smashing and wedding together. But the forks are great and my bff would love them. She is getting married in June, i wish myself luck in this giveavay. Cause she would love them. :)

  185. Marni says:

Not a huge fan of cake face smashing…thankfully my hubs was nice on our wedding day. These are really beautiful and special.

  186. Melissa says:

Cake smashing is only funny when it’ s someone else. We didn’t at our wedding. :-)
Love the forks and they will be a perfect addition to my sister’s wedding in September. Thanks

  187. tawnya says:

Anti to the point of sincere distaste. I think it’s really a poor judgment choice.

  188. Marcia says:

Did not cake smash and do not regret it. It’s fun to watch others do it though!

  189. Personally, we did not cake-smash at our wedding. It wasn’t “us”. But I love to see other people do it! I just feel so bad for the bride when it messes up her makeup or hair! HA!
I LOVE LOVE your new forks. I want them so badly! If I don’t win them I may just have to order some :) THANK YOU for creating such beautiful things!

  190. kate says:

omgoodness! i love these forks…as wedding gifts for sure, but i really love the idea of putting each of my daughters’ names on one…they would love em!

as for cake-face smashing: i think it’s fun…if both parties are willing participants :)! i hate seeing brides caught off guard~poor things! i personally had a pact with my husband that i would react to whatever he chose to do. he, of course chose to smash…we loved every minute of it!

  191. Leah says:

I am anti-cake smashing, unless it’s just a tiny tiny amount. Like so tiny that you can wipe off with a napkin and not mess up your makeup or hair.

I just got engaged last week and I think those forks are adorable!!

  192. Anni says:

Um, I LOVE these! They’re gorgeous!

We’re having cupcakes at our wedding, and I was worried about how we’d do anything ceremonial with that. I think these would be so cute!

  193. Tracey Ireland says:

Love the forks! Great for a wedding but I also love the idea of each kid having their own!

    Cake-face smashing…fun!

  194. Jenny says:

I love the forks! I am totally fine with cake smashing, although I’d rather us not do it:) Go with the flow, if it happens it happens, as long as he doesnt hurt me!

  195. DeAnn says:

I would love to have these for my best friend who just got engaged four days ago. Her first husband died two years ago of cancer, and I’m just so excited for her to find happiness for herself and her six year old son!

As far as the cake smashing…I’m not a fan. My husband and I had an agreement that you would “get what you gave.” In other words, if either of us smashed the cake at the other, it was coming right back at them. No cake smashing occurred.

  196. Elizabeth says:

I love the forks, but am so not a fan of cake-in-the-face smashing. It’s funny if it happens to someone else sometimes though! haha.

  197. connie helland says:

No cake smashing here! Friends getting married in April and those forks would be so fun (and special to!) Thanks! ~C

  198. Marin D says:

I hate cake face smashing. I told my husband just before that if he smashed it in my face and got it on my dress, he’d be alone that night. LOL! He was a good sport! You save that kind of thing for later. Haha!

  199. Anneke B. says:

I don’t think it’s very nice to cake smash. Just think, cake everywhere to ruin how pretty everything is. We definitely did not cake smash.

    Love the cute forks!

  200. Elizabeth says:

I’m getting married soon, and would love these forks!!

  201. Shauna Lobre says:

i STILL have cake stains on my dress. It was not really a cake smashing..more like it dropped down the front of my dress. I LOVE the forks and will be getting some for gifts
( after I win MINE of course )

  202. Erin T says:

What cute forks! I LOVE this idea and think these are a must for my sister’s upcoming wedding. I’m not really for cake smashing – all that time and money put into looking your best… but I do think it’s fun. :)

  203. Dawn says:

My husband and I had a deal that we would not smash cake in each other’s faces on the day of our wedding. On our walk over to the cake table, however, he lovingly leaned over and whispered, “All deals are off.” What’s a girl to do? So, yes, there was a little cake smashing at our wedding…nothing that involved the whole face or clothing or anything like that, but I did have frosting in my nose. :)

  204. shanon says:

I love the forks!! My brother is getting married this summer & it would be great to give these to them! My future sis-in-law would love them, the perfect little touch!

  205. Mary Ann says:

I don’t know where that “custom” came from but it’s quite inappropriate. I wonder if all those couples who smash cake are also the ones who end up getting divorced. Here’s to making beauty.

  206. Cristi says:

Oh I know some soon to be Newlyweds that I could give these to! Hope I win them for Lance and Danae!

  207. Melissa says:

I have always wondered when the whole cake smashing started. I for one am not a fan of it. There other and better ways to be silly at your wedding. Also, totally love the cheesecake instead of a classic cake.

  208. Cristi says:

I facebooked it! I hope I win these for my friends who are getting married this weekend!!!!!

  209. Luann says:

    cake smashing; no thank you.

  210. KaraM says:

I think it depends on your personality! Smashing the cake wasn’t us, but for some fun loving couples its kind of cute. As long as its not mean spirited…I love the forks.

  211. Cristi says:

I tweeted it! Still hoping I win this for the Bride and Groom – Lance & Danae!!!

  212. Melissa says:

Where did the tradition of cake smashing even start and why. I for one am againist it. There are other and better was to be silly at the wedding. I love the cheesecake instead of cake idea thought.

  213. Kelly Elizabeth says:

I think it would be fun but i wouldn’t want my make up ruined!!!

  214. Luisa says:

Why smash cake? I say, eat the cake! Whether cake, cupcakes or cheesecakes, cake is meant to be eaten. ps. love the forks. :o)

  215. Wanda Contreras says:

HI! I enjoy your pictures of your mom wedding and went to see yours. I don’t like the cake smashing it is tacky and will ruin the brides makeup!!!
    best regards,’

  216. Melissa says:

Where did the whole cake smashing tradition even start and why. I for one am againist it. There are other and better was to be silly at a wedding. But I totally love the cheesecake instead of cake plan.

  217. Alima says:

I am lovin that you made these forks. When I saw the picture of them a few days I just thought it was a picture you found somewhere. So excited that they are yours! A friend of mine is getting married next month and I will definitely be ordering her a set!
Oh…and no cake smashing for us. Not our thing. Wedding cake isn’t really our thing either so we had a layered strawberry shortcake as our wedding cake – beyond delicious. πŸ˜‰

  218. Kristi F says:

I don’t like the cake smashing, and we did not do that at our wedding (almost 26 years ago now – wow we are getting really old!).

  219. JennaLynn Self says:

I HATE cake smashing. We have a hilarious sequence of about 10 pictures from our wedding day where I am making my husband pinky promise me he will not cover my face in cake. he kept his promise :)

  220. Jen says:

Definitely not a fan of cake smashing. It just seems so childish and disrespectful to me.

  221. Shaunna says:

I love the forks! My baby sister is getting married this summer and those would be the perfect gift/addition to her simple country outdoor wedding. i am NOT a fan of cake-smashing. you spend so much time making sure everything is perfect. your hair. your makeup. your dress. it’s the sweetest day. having cake smashed in your face ruins all the fun. i think it is a horrible way to start a marriage. there are many other things to do at your wedding to make people laugh and lighten up the mood. after we were introduced as husband and wife to the reception guests, i had my sister bring up a ball and chain gag gift and i immediately strapped it on my new hubby’s ankle. laughter. claping. and it set the mood for one of the best evenings of my life!

  222. kim says:

There was no cake smashing for us too.
The forks are a nice gift idea!

  223. Megan says:

We fed eachother cake because it was a very formal wedding and I told him in advance ‘Don’t you dare even think about it!’

  224. lindsey clark says:

Love the new forks! My husband and I had a very serious conversation pre-wedding about cake-smashing. More like a strong reminder that if he smashed cake in my face that he would be done for! I really don’t like it! I feel like it is terrible to do to a beautiful bride. :)

  225. Jen says:

No cake smashing thank you very much!

  226. sylvia says:

i think it’s too bad to mess up your beautiful make-up/hair/dress… not a fan!

  227. Jaymie says:

Beautiful! On our wedding day, I unfortunately felt very sick and then got sick between the wedding and reception. I was trying my hardest to pull it together for the reception….we cut our cake right after we ate, although I ate nothing since I wasn’t feeling well. As we were walking down to the cake, I told my husband to only feed me the cake part and “no frosting”. Except he heard “only frosting”. I was very surprised to get a mouthful of frosting from my new hubs. Although I wanted to cake face smash after that, I didn’t! And we are still very happily married and get a laugh out of that story.

  228. Kimberly says:

    absolutely adorable Lisa!

cake smashing – not for weddings. Keep it to birthdays, anniversaries and sporting events.
A wedding day is for delicate, gentle love – not the in your face kind.

  229. Beth Logan says:

LOVE the forks Lisa, so classically lovely.

Although I do find cake smashing fun from the right kind of couple, I’m personally glad it didn’t happen to me!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  230. Arriving says:

Oh I love these forks! Now if someone I knew would just get married… I think this is probably my favorite wedding keepsake that I’ve ever come across :-)

  231. Sarah S says:

As a girl getting married this September, we have discussed this, and there will be no cake smashing!!

  232. Stacey says:

No, I wouldn’t want any part of making a mess on my wedding……it’s a beautful day and it should stay that way!

P.S. the forks are too cute!

  233. Mrs. B. says:

Love the forks, but not the cake smashing….way too messy for this gal!

  234. Brianne says:

These are too cute! I’d love to win a pair for my dear friend getting married this summer in Lake Tahoe. And as for the cake smashing, not a fan…at least not at a wedding.

  235. Elisabeth says:

No cake smashing here! I really don’t like it at all! What a fun new product!

  236. Jenny says:

I am not a fan of cake “smashing”, but dabbing a bit on the nose or chin to kiss off is okie dokie by me!

  237. Katherine says:

I’m not a big fan of cake smashing, which I made clear to my darling husband, who was a perfect gentleman about it!

  238. Lorena Mora says:

I’ve never seen a wedding that smashed cake, I’ve seen a bit put on bride or grooms nose or cheek then kissed off, but that’s it.

    Beautiful forks!

  239. Rachel W. says:

I am not a fan of cake smashing. I was at a wedding where the bride did it after the groom had so lovingly and tenderly fed her cake and it felt childish and not so nice.

  240. erin says:

i LOVE your new forks!! what a fantastic idea- i think i might like these better than a keepsake cake knife. way to be inspired. πŸ˜‰

by the way, i’m still reveling over my new family tree necklace i received in the mail yesterday. :)

as for cake smashing, i’m always nervous that the bride’s dress will get messy, and that her makeup will need to be fixed- call me paranoid. my hubby and i were polite (however, it IS more fun to watch when cake smashing happens!).

  241. Stephanie says:

Love the forks – what a great idea! While I love silliness and laughter, I am not a fan of the cake smashing. I decorate cakes, and know all the hard work that goes into making them, (and how expensive wedding cakes can be) it seems a shame to have that all smeared in someone’s face.

  242. Ah! You did it, you made silverware! I love it. So sad it’s too late for my wedding. BUT–I still want to get some silverware with font printed on the handle. Let me know if you ever can do this, I would love to buy some meals & moves stuff :)

  243. Kara says:

Definitely not a cake smasher. I’m getting married in June and have reminded my fiancΓ© many times of the repercussions that could follow a cake smashing session. :) I love your forks! They make me want my big day to come faster!

  244. Kim T. says:

Not a big fan, but I suppose it depends upon the couple and if it’s done small and in loving fun – not a food fight, It can be sweet. Love the forks! It’s our anniversary this week. They would make a great gift!

  245. Alison says:

    Not for the cake smash!

  246. nancy says:

    Hi Lisa,
Looooooooooove the Video, and love the fork Idea, what a wonderful remberance for the bride and groom. My anniversary is coming up so this would be a great gift. I think it would be nice to have hearts and the date of the wedding. Love cake too! My husband and I did gentle cake smashing, not enough to make a mess, yet loving enought to make a memory, and we helped eachother kiss off the cake. It was fun, and this year is our 10 year anniversary!! You have once agained wowed us with another great idea keep up the Creativity.

  247. Paige says:

Not a fan of the cake face smash! My husband was warned not to at our wedding. Although I have been to weddings where it was hilarious. =)

  248. julie says:

I am not a fan of cake smashing. Love your new forks… my niece will be married this summer.

  249. Meghan Hall says:

We did not smash any cake! We did have the top tier made carrot cake and took it on our honeymoon and ate it with coffee at our bed and breakfast!!

  250. Mary F says:

I am not a big fan…I prefer the sweet display of love and affection! Love the cake forks. My son and his lovely girlfriend are tying the knot this year. Would love to have these for a gift!

  251. Linda J. says:

Those forks are gorgeous! I can see those as a great 25th anniversary gift. As for cake in the face… DH and I made a pact, no cake in the face, no face in the cake. DS and his new bride, the same. I had to chuckle…”Frosting up the nose is NOT romantic. We will be civilized ;-D”

  252. so sweet!

absolutely no cake smashing. after all that time getting ready and looking pretty for the cameras on your very special day, definitely no smashing. mike learned from his older brother’s mistake.

btw, in 6 months we celebrate 10 years! yay!!

  253. Jenn P. says:

I have a very special couple in mind for those forks! Cake smashing… hmm… it’s a tough call in my book. Funny maybe but… I’m a wedding planner part-time and I always recommend that the new hubby go first so that if he does a little smash the new bride can get SERIOUS revenge if she wants πŸ˜‰

  254. Jen C says:

Cake smashing? Not for me. My husband and I eloped to Vermont and didn’t have to worry about cake smashing. On another note, I love the forks. You just keep coming up with such inspiring ideas. I love your blog and make it a point to look at your photos on a daily basis. You are very talented and artistic. I have two of your necklaces and love them both. In fact, I got everyone in my family the pewter hearts for their birthdays. Keep creating….Your work is one-of-a-kind.

  255. Katy K says:

Absolutely, positively no cake smashing will be happening. I hate to admit it, but I’m just too concerned with how much time I’ll spend getting ready and how many pictures will be taken to have it all ruined with sugary frosting! I LOVE wedding cake, though, and am so looking forward to enjoying it at my own wedding – hopefully with these forks! :)

  256. Katy K says:

Had to tweet about this, too!

@klinnert: Absolutely LOVE these cutom cake forks – “Mr.” on one and “Mrs.” on the other? Adorable. But cake smashing? NO.

  257. Sarah says:

I was completely against cake smashing for my wedding day until the moment arrived! We were so giddy over one another, why not give a little humor on our wedding day. It was funny and beautiful at the same time! I would love to win a set of the forks for my daughers. They are two and three and LOVE seeing their names on things that are just theirs. Nothing like having your own special fork at meal time! Keep creating such wonderful inspiring pieces! I look forward to all your new creations!

  258. Lisa McGriff says:

Not a fan, you have spent so much time and money for the special day just to have your makeup messed up and most likely your dress… I’m more of a classical-traditional kinda gal!!

  259. Sharon says:

Not a fan of cake smashing! Getting a makeup artist is pricey, and there’s plenty of time after the wedding to get sneaky and frisky! πŸ˜‰

  260. Megan says:

I love cake smashing at everyone else’s wedding(s)- just not at mine! :)

  261. Cindy says:

After forty six years, what a perfect way to celebrate!

  262. Laura says:

I loove these. My hubby and I are celebrating 12 years this year. We have gone through more than some in 50 years as we have spent the last 2 years watching our 7 yr old daughter fight and survive cancer. He told me on Valentine’s Day that our love can move mountains. This would be an awesome gift and keepsake for our beautiful family.

  263. Laura says:

No cake smashing for me…although I’d probably laugh if I ever saw anyone do so. I’m a HUGE cake fan and our wedding cake was SO BAD, we had to laugh. The pictures look like we are loving it but we were making jokes about it.

  264. Laura says:

I also do not like cake smashing. We were very careful to feed each other and laughed the whole way through….but no mess.

  265. No smashing just lots of smooching at weddings!!! ha ha!

  266. Susan says:

The forks are adorable! And no I’m definitely not a fan of cake smashing. It cheapens an otherwise classy event.

  267. Paige says:

I ok with it, but I wasn’t having it at our wedding.

  268. jamie says:

i am totally not a cake face smasher. sweet and simple and cute. that’s what i like.

  269. Sarah says:

NO CAKE SMASHING πŸ˜‰ All that time it took to get lookin’ your best, only to ruin it with frosting?! No way!

I would love to gift these to a beautiful couple that is getting married in April! So sweet…

  270. Sarah Sharp says:

I’m a wedding photographer, and I always tell brides who don’t want cake smashed in their faces to make sure there are forks on the table. It’s so much harder to smash cake in a face with a fork! These are gorgeous, Lisa!

  271. Helen says:

i think a little is ok love the forks so sweet

  272. Hailee says:

    I too love the forks.

I think it depends on the couple. I understand the need to be kept looking your best but the pictures are done by then and a little frosting on your face never hurt anyone..

  273. Melissa says:

I think it’s fun! But only if its somewhat gentle and not too messy – you don’t want to mess up the dress! My husband and I just did a little “smoosh” of cake on each others noses and it was sweet and cute. The pictures of the moment are some of my favorite from the day!

  274. I would like to be the smusher whilst avoiding being the smushee :)

  275. HamiHarri says:

I prefer feeding each other with a fork/fingers rather than a smash!

Please vote for my daughter Clara!

  276. Lori A says:

I am not a fan of cake smushing. The forks are too cute! My husband and I are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary this year and I’m going to have the top layer of our cake recreated. The forks would be such a great addition to the celebration.

  277. Shauna Giesbrecht says:

Cake smashing – what is the point of it really? It always makes ppl laugh and smile though…a little light-heartedness perhaps? Like to watch it but not for me….

  278. Linda says:

Love, Love, Love these forks! Would love to win a set for my daughter who is getting married in a few months!

  279. Karen says:

I never was a fan of the cake-smashing. Why would you waste some perfectly good cake? Love, love, love the wedding forks!

  280. Jessie says:

These are ingeniously precious and perfect! I would love to gift these to my brother and his fiance who are getting married in August. They’re going the simple route and having a beach wedding with very natural elements…the forks would fit right in! Plus, Charlie and I want to get them something special that goes above and beyond their registry. =) If it doesn’t work out, I will be purchasing them very soon! Thanks for designing these, and for offering them as a special gift! =)

p.s. I’m going to order some for Charlie and I to gift him on our next anniversary…add to our Lisa Leonard collection! =)

  281. Karen says:

No cake smashing! All that time and money spent on the makeup, dress, cake…no need to ruin it.

  282. Tina says:

As long as the bride and groom are happy, I’m fine with or without the cake-smashing! I accidentally smashed a little cake into my hubby’s face on our big day…it slipped a bit in my hand! He doesn’t entirely believe me, but it’s true :)

    These forks are absolutely precious!!!

  283. Sharon says:

Don’t like it, but I do like those forks!!!! How sweet!

  284. Jen says:

No way on the cake smashing. All that time to get all gussied up – no one’s shoving food all over my face!

  285. Carrie K says:

Oh these are just lovely! I am thinking of SOOO many ideas for them! I am anti-smushing…its tacky! but I do think its cute when they wipe a dab of frosting on each others nose :)

  286. Jennifer says:

I was definitely a no on the face smashing — but my husband kept acting like he was going to put do it to me. In the end, there was some miscommunication and he ended up with cake in his ear. Oops!

  287. Cassie C says:

I can’t wait to cut the cake with Pete on our wedding day and feed him a piece – I totally would smash the cake in his face but I really hope he doesn’t do it to me (I don’t want it to ruin my makeup)!!! Love, love, love this week!

  288. Karen S says:

I am not married…yet…but it would be an absolute NO on the cake face smashing thing…I love these new forks and have to have one!

  289. Claudine says:

Those are so very lovely — would love to win!

We definitely were the no-smash folks — we took to heart that the act of feeding each other represented our willingness for a life-time to feed each other always in good, positive, respectful and loving ways!!

  290. Kelly H-Y says:

    Those folks are adorable!
That’s a big negative on the cake-smashing … we fed each other nicely! :-)

  291. Tami C. says:

Love the forks! While smashing cake is playful I loved the sweetness of feeding my hubby the cake without adding the smash.

  292. Kim M says:

I do not like the cake smash! They act like it’s a joke, but usually someone is not laughing. So glad we didn’t do that.

  293. Val says:

Love the cake forks – HATE the cake smashing! Why turn such a significant moment into such a high-school food fight one?

  294. Briana N. says:

I am not a cake smasher and discussed this extensively with my husband and he STILL smashed me with our cake! He didn’t do a lot, though. :)

  295. kara f. says:

my bro and future SIL! are getting married this Summer….would LoVE to give them a set of these. (: cake smash is okay– whatever the couple wants to do!

  296. Sarah says:

I don’t like cake smashing at all. I’m getting married NEXT MONTH and those forks would be perfect! Thank you so much for being so generous! β™₯

  297. Katrina says:

LOVE the forks. You are so very creative.

I don’t like cake smashing and even fed my wedding cake piece to my hubby with a fork at our wedding.

My son is getting married soon and I NEED these forks!

  298. Mary says:

What a great wedding gift!! I’d love to win!

  299. Mary says:

    Just tweeted about it!

  300. Suzanne says:

Pick me pick me! My sister is getting married in three weeks and this would make a fabulous gift from her matron of honor and mother of her 4 bridesmaids! YUP! 5 girls in my family and we are all in it!!! Cake smashing?? Not for me but if it makes you happy on your big day….GO FOR IT!!!

  301. Shana says:

I warned my hubby to be that there would be no cake smashing, the make-up costs way to much and on our wedding day even though we were both a little tempted there was no cake smashing.

  302. Shelly foster says:

Call me a party pooper … No cake smashing here ! I love the cake forks ! Simply lovely !

  303. Lisa C. says:

No cake smashing for me. Love the forks!

  304. Holly M says:

A little fun never hurt anyone! As long as both agree it’s okay GO FOR IT! When do you ever get to have a food fight as a grown up?

  305. Sara B. says:

I don’t like the cake smashing — too messy and yucky when everyone looks so nice! The wedding forks are lovely, and I love the idea of giving the necklaces as gifts to the bridal party. What a beautiful idea!

  306. Victoria says:

I hate cake smashing; I just think it’s wrong to do something like that to the person you are supposed to love, cherish, and respect. My husband and I promised no cake smashing. Our daughter is getting married next Spring. These beautiful, personalized, forks would be a lovely keepsake for her and her husband. I believe they feel the same way about cake smashing.

  307. Maggie says:

I’m getting married in 88 days!! Not counting down or anything πŸ˜‰ I’m personally not a fan of cake face smashing, so I will be keeping my fingers crossed that my future husband agrees with me!

  308. Kristy says:

Wow, that is alot of comments about cake smashing! I have to admit I smooshed my honey with just a little cake. He just laughed. It was all in good fun. We enjoyed our day. To each his own.

Lisa, I love your forks! What a great product for newlyweds or just for a fun gift.
