so sweet! {free earring friday}

October 22nd | david, jewelry

oh it’s been a crazy week around here.

david’s white blood cell count was high

which meant they might postpone surgery

which made mama (me) feel like i was constantly on the verge of tears

because i’m a planner

and i just want to get this dang surgery over with

and move on.

but yesterday we got the ‘all-clear’ for surgery

and i sighed a BIG sigh of relief.

and while i am still anxious about the surgery,

i am thankful we’re moving forward.

and it seems like a good day to celebrate with sweet little earrings.

our little birdie earrings are free today

with any $50 purchase

you don’t need to add them to your cart–

just leave a note in the notes section ‘free earring friday!’

Isn’t it a strange feeling to dread something sooooo much and yet, freak out when/if it’s postponed???? ugh.

  3. I’m so glad it okay to go on with the surgery. My mom has had some medical issues over the past few weeks and the dr.’s have finally given her a date for her bypass surgery. She’s been hospitalized a couple times and it’s been so up and down that like you, I’m just so relieved a plan is in place.

My thoughts go out to you and your family. You are all an inspiration!

Happy Friday, happy green lights, and we’re going to be praying for all of you tonight at youth group.

Oh I love the earrings……I just made a purchase the other day………Looking forward to getting it……

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Lisa, be encouraged. Our children are in God’s hands. He uses us to love, nurture, play with and care for them. He teaches us how to be everything they need, but ultimately, they are HIS and everything will be ok, because HE is here. Take care of yourself while you are caring for your family.
You have been in my prayers :o)

    and here’s {a big hug back} :)

    such sweet earrings!!

Phew its right – I can totally understand wanting to move forward with the surgery and get it behind you – i am a planner to and I don’t like when things have to be up in the air BUT i am learning that ALL things work out when you put them in God’s hands. Am DEFINATELY keeping David and you in my prayers – well your whole family – and in addition I will say a prayer next week over his medical team, that they move in divine wisdom He will guide them and David’s angels will be right there watching over him!

I also love what Amanda said – i totally agree!!

    Enjoy your weekend!

My daughter (8) had pretty major surgery last March so I think I know a bit of how you’re feeling…’s not as if you’re looking forward to the surgery, but it’s looming out there and inevitable and you just want it to be over and done with, successful, so everyone can move on.

  11. Kelly H-Y says:

    Those are gorgeous!
Our prayers are with you for healing and safety for David … and continued strength and courage for you!!

  12. Marina says:

You are such a sweet person adding the “big hug” at the end of your post. You are the one that deserves the big hugs, we will also be praying for you all during the surgery. Blessing to your family. And yes, the birdie earings are adorable!!!!

Lisa, My daughter just called to inform me that she wanted some Lisa Lenard jewelry for Christmas. I immediately came to the computer and began searching and saw you also had a blog. I love “blog following” and have added you to my list. I see your son is scheduled for surgery. I do pray all will go well and he will have a quick recovery.

What a fun and interesting gal you are and by the way, I do love your jewelry myself. Blessings abundant to you!

  16. Hi Lisa, sending hugs your way. Praying for a full recovery for your son and peace for you. Love your earrings.

    HI Lisa,
This is totally off subject but I really love your hair cut! I was wondering if sometime you might put up some pictures showing it close up with the back and sides. I have really curly hair also and have been looking for a cut I like and I am in love with yours. : ) Love your blog and seeing your outfits. Prayers for your family this week.
