I can’t wait to share it with you! {50th anniversary celebration}

My uncle Ken and aunt Judy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this month. How crazy, amazing is that?! It’s definitely cause for celebration. So all the aunts, uncles, cousins and siblings assembled to help them mark the occasion. My sisters hosted a BBQ Thursday evening, we went to Disneyland on Saturday {it was 100* ugh!} and Saturday was a celebration at my parents’ home. So many pretty details and people I cherish–I couldn’t wait to share it with you!

There’s the happy couple. They love each other after 50 years–and I think that is truly amazing!

I brought some cake toppers to help decorate.

The pic above is of my mom and dad, my siblings, with their kiddos and my aunt and uncle. Yes, it’s crazy! And yes, we have so much fun!

From left to right, Gale {my mom}, my aunt Nancy, my aunt Judy.

That’s my dad. Love him.

My uncle asked me to create a special necklace for my Aunt–so I created this necklace with a diamond set in the center of the flower. It was such an honor and I was so nervous! I wanted her to love it. And she did!

And here’s the back. It reads ’50’ all my love, ken. Sigh, so sweet!

Happy Anniversary!!

That’s a serious kiss. David doesn’t mess around.

Time with cousins made it even more special!

Thank you Ken and Judy for showing us a marriage that has stood the test of time. We love you!

  4. I so love seeing a couple being celebrated for their love and devotion. Weddings are beautiful, for sure, but the love that grows with time, that is the most beautiful of all!

  5. Such sweetness to start my day! You have a lovely family. I have to ask–were the anniversary couple 12 when they married?!? They look great!

  6. This post brought me so much encouragement today. Love, marriage, parents, children, beautiful/simple decorating. Great stuff. Hard to pic a favorite pic, but the picture of the cousins really hit me – look at those sweet faces of the next generation of your family. How blessed they are to grow up in so much love.

  7. I love this post, Lisa. It’s so fun to see all of your family together. Congrats to your aunt and uncle, too. 50 years is definitely a big deal. One worthy of diamonds! 🙂
