blog sugar

sunday was blog sugar! about 200 women {and a few men, too} gathered in southern california to get inspired.

even standing in line i got to talk to amazing women, like denise from victory road and kristen from idaho mom and erin from eating my way back.

sarah markley shared insights–her spoken words are just as lovely as her written words. i loved hearing her speak!

there was plenty of sugar–not good for south beach diet, but since it was a special occasion, i splurged a little!

and so much pink and orange. the place was decked out in loveliness! i also got to hear lindsey, maggie and meg speak. they all did a fabulous job.

and i got to hug and talk and dream with so many sweet girls. a highlight was getting some extra time to chat with miss ashley. it was a very inspiring evening!!

attending conferences is so fun and so time consuming. i’ve been traveling waaaay to much lately and i am happy to be home and relax some! have you attended any blog conferences? do you plan to attend any this year?

  1. I was there but to be honest, I was too shy to come meet you in person. I was absolutely smitten with you though. You are absolutely gorgeous on the outside and know from reading your blog that the same goes for your inside too:)
I wish I would’ve been brave enough to say hello. Esp since you’re my favorite jewelry artisan.

  2. So wonderful me meet you Lisa! Blog Sugar was so special. I’ll be up visiting my fam in Paso in a few weeks. Can’t wait to stop into Firelfy and see what new goodies they have! Any other cute places I should check out?

  3. it was awesome to meet you at blog sugar, lisa! what a lovely and gracious woman you are! and such a wonderful group of ladies we had at our table, right? angela and i are getting together with elizabeth esther next week for coffee and if you find yourself with some free time when you’re in so cal again, we’d love to visit with you too!

  4. You really enjoy life – good to see – I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland – Australia. One of the wonders of the world – another great place to enjoy life – we are so blessed. I love your “Daisy Chain Bracelet” – brings back childhood memories & it looks so feminine and easy to wear – great work & great blog.

so loved getting to meet you in real life after hearing so much about you over the past few years. i felt like i knew you already. you are as sweet and delightful as i had imagined :o)

  6. oh man! i wanted to go so very badly. a few of my friends went. but mr. silas is too old to tote along and too young for me to leave behind. 🙁 now i’m even more sad that i missed you. i had no idea you were going. glad you enjoyed yourself. xox

  7. Blog Sugar was so fun and it was great to meet you! It was my first conference and I’m excited for future ones. Oh, and your hair is really fantastic, I meant to tell you that.

  8. Hello there!

I’ve been a big fan of yours for a while, and I just won a $75 gift card to your shop from Little Miss Momma. I may or may not have cried when I found out I won. I’m a new (and emotional!) mom…ha!

Anyway, I am just delighted to finally be able to get one of your gorgeous necklaces. I think I’ve finally narrowed it down and I’ll probably get the “my treasures necklace.” It’s so sweet! How did you think to design it like that? You are just brilliant!

p.s. I would LOVE to attend a blog conference some day. Do you have to be a “big-time blogger” to attend, or could somebody just like me go?

  9. It’s my dream! I am still plugging away at your online business class from last spring. My reward when I finish in the next few months is to start looking for advertising for my blog and to start learning about how to attend these amazing conferences . Maybe then I can hug you, too! LOL. Truly, in the last year, I have gone from starting a blog to showcase my baking for my fledgling baking biz to realizing that I don’t want to be a baker…but a full-time blogger (someday!).

  10. oh that looked like a lot of fun!..
Love the pics you took of your friends kids!…sweet faces!
We just had a Market here in the Valley and it was a screaming success…my blog has some pics but Funky Junk Interiors has a lot better ones…if you have time visit!

  14. That photo of you and Meg is incredible – what awesome lighting! Looks like so much fun! I don’t blog…don’t have the time after reading other people’s blogs! Ha!

  15. You West Coast kids are lucky ducks! Not aware of anything fun like this in my area. Looks like a “sweet” time! Glad you’re back safe and resting (can we call getting ready for Halloween resting if one has kids?).
