David's birth was an incredibly intense time. We had expected a healthy baby and suddenly we were holding this tiny newborn in our arms, who had only seven fingers, a heart defect and other issues. We were grieving and broken. In the days that followed, the CdLS foundation came alongside us, encouraging us, answering questions and reminding us that our baby was precious. They've journeyed with us through surgeries, introduced us to other families with the same syndrome and celebrated David for who he is. I can't begin to tell you how meaningful their support has been to our family!
