Hey I’m sharing my ‘what I wore’ post a day early. I’ve got something fun coming tomorrow–so make sure to check back!

For Lent this year, I decided to take a break from buying new clothing. I’ve still thrifted a couple pieces–but I’m trying to shop less and refocus some of that attention on things that matter. And there are so many things that matter so much more!

It’s been a great way to shift my perspective and it’s also been wonderful to wear pieces from my closet that I already own and love. When I walk through Target, I keep telling myself, “I’m not buying anything, I’m not buying anything, I’m not buying anything.” So far it’s working. Even the cute scarves haven’t tempted me.

For my post this week, I’m sharing outfits that I’m re-wearing and loving. Here are some of my favorite, easy pieces.

This cream dress was thrifted for a few dollars. It’s pretty much as basic as can be–and super comfortable. Love it.

This black dress from Plenty Boutique is flowy and fun. Sometimes I layer a faux fur vest over or a slouchy sweater.

This dress from Anthropologie was an after-christmas splurge with a gift card from my Mother-in-law. The cut is easy to wear and it’s something different.

I see we’re on a ‘dresses’ trend here. I’m either wearing dresses or my favorite jeans. This dress was on major clearance from Zara after Christmas. The ombre effect is different and adds character. And of course a jean jacket makes it perfect for the workshop.

This black dress from Plenty Boutique has been making the rounds a lot. I always feel pretty in it. I have a thing for black dresses.

This anthropologie dress was a Christmas gift. The pattern is different than what I would usually wear but the cut of the dress is awesome and easy.

Did you give up anything for Lent? Has it been easy or hard for you?
