what i wore wore wednesday

It’s been crazy around here! Both boys are home sick, the workshop is buzzing and my computer isn’t cooperating. When it rains, it pours! So here’s wiww, even though it’s a bit late! I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy!
The above outfit is actually a dress layered over a skirt. Both dress and skirt are from Old Navy {crazy sale, $12 each!} Vintage boots from Ruby Rose. Cardi from Target.I think I was feeling colorful on Monday! Jeans, Banana Republic outlet. Sweater, Target. Scarf, brought back from our trip to England. Boots, Anthropologie. Green Coat, can’t remember?! I got it a couple years ago and it’s been a favorite this winter.

See that Christmas tree behind me–and all those sparkly lights? But…no ornaments?? We still haven’t gotten our ornaments up! And I’ve started wrapping gifts but I have a few more to BUY still! What do you have left on your holiday to-do list?

PS Tomorrow is our deadline for Christmas delivery–so get your special gifts ordered!!

  1. For the record, I love your lights-only tree! So enchanting! I once tried to do a similar look – but on purpose, not because I ran out of time. Sadly, my mum and her friend did not approve and showed up with their own surplus decorations and hung them on my tree! I was not amused.

  2. When i see your wat-i-wore-wednesday-post, i always think, that i know a fashion-company, who has absolutly YOUR style!

Some of my own pictures in my blog are inspired of your art of photography!

  3. I’m so sorry your boys are sick again. We’ve only been sick-free for 2 weeks out of the last 8 in our house too :(. This seems to be a bad fall/winter for keeping well. I’m saying a prayer that your boys recover quickly.

As always, your outfits are inspiring! I say this as I sit here typing this in my pjs :)!

    Have a very Merry Christmas!

  4. Our tree is bare as well 🙁 Pretty lights and tinsel. Girls made a few ornaments at school and that would be it right now. The crud hit our house and I am in full on panic mode. That green coat is beautiful on you!

  5. Love the vivid colors you’re wearing lately! We have ornaments on the tree but plenty else to do–gifts not bought or mailed, a couple of cards still to send. We’ll manage it.

I’m sorry your boys are sick–hope they recover soon!

  6. Argh so sorry the boys are sick! my two boomerrangs (how i affeciately refer to my kids) are sick with the flu, not fun even at 13 and 12 they just want mom and want to cuddle! i am just embacing it and knowing it wont be forever – all will get done and be well.

i have a few gifts to buy — all my wrapping to do AND we dont have any ornaments on our tree yet either! my sweet hubby has been dealing with really bad back pain so things haven’t gone according to plan – so we are just being flexible and praying for answers to the pain!

hope the boys get well soon! you look fabulous lisa as always – how do you do it!

  7. Oh how I love that second outfit! And the color of the coat is fabulous as well.
I felt like I was all ahead of things having done alot of shopping already…until I realized we still have to buy gifts for all my hubbys family. AgH! But we’re taking things one step at a time, trying to keep our focus on the real reason for the season and enjoying parties, counting down til the last days of school, etc…

  8. I have to say, with your delayed post I was getting worried. I thought something had happened but I’m so happy to hear it’s just typical chaos:-)

Still have a few more gifts to buy, wrap, and bake.
