what i wore wednesday

I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration.  Since it’s the end of the year {and I didn’t take any pics this week} I thought it would be fun to recap some of my favorite outfits from the last year. I can see how my style has changed a bit–even over the last year. And since I’ve lost a few pounds I am a little more comfortable in my own skin.

sweater, wedges, both target. jeans, anthropologie. tunic, tjmaxx.

dress, sundance. cardigan, gift. boots, anthropologie. necklace, allora handmade.

dress, wedges, both target. jeans, anthropolgie.

dress, sundance. cardi, tights, both target. boots, anthropologie. scarf, world market.

sweater, target. black top, banana republic. jeans, gap. boots, jessica simpson. jewelry, my shop.

this outfit was purchased in england this summer. boots, anthropologie. flower brooch, gilded life.

scarf, jacket, both target. jeans, gap. vintage boots, ruby rose.

ruffle dress, boots, both anthropologe. cardi, target. necklace, allora handmade.

dress, skinny jeans, both target. sandals, old navy. belt, anthropologie.

dress, old navy. jeans, anthropologie. necklace, allora handmade, shoes, ambiance.

vest, shoes, both target. white shirt, jeans, both anthropologie.

Apparently I love to mix high-end {anthropologie} with low-end {target} and add in some handmade and vintage. I love accessorizing and I love layering. I love dresses and boots. And I’ve worn those anthropologie jeans {AG stevie} so much they are about to fall apart. It might be time to invest in a new pair.

This year I want to wear lots of dresses, boots and lots of color! Do you have any fresh fashion ideas for 2012?

  1. You always look so beautiful! I know it’s silly, but one of my New Year’s resolutions is to wear red lipstick. I always love women in red lipstick – so beautiful, and (seemingly) so confident!

  2. I want more sparkle for myself in 2012!

Love the retrospective, Lisa! I started layering dresses with skinny jeans because of you over a year ago, and I feel so hip!

  3. Lisa, you look amazing in all of these outfits. I especially love the red shoes and yellow cardigan. Oh, and all the ruffles, too! I want to try to dress “happier” this coming year, you have inspired me to do so! Happy 2012!

  4. You are a master of layering! You provide great inspiration for outfits. I love that you mix a lot of Target with Anthro because that’s what I love to do too! Great recap!

  5. I love everything you wear and gets lots of inspiration from you! So keep showing us those outfits! Dresses + Boots are my fav! In the winter I like to add tights + fun knee high socks under my boots for extra layers!

  6. This will sound so goofy but I was really bummed when my Target sold out of that polka dotted scarf before I could snatch one up.
I love the way you mix your outfits…its very unique which is soo important in fashion…to make it your own style.
    Have a lovely New Year!

  7. I love this post, Lisa! I am always so inspired by the way you layer and take risks. And you rock the high-low mix! Happy New Year to you and your sweet family.

  8. Thank you for sharing your outfits this year. I love this bit of girly inspiration and have found myself adding more dresses over jeans and more boots! Thank you! Looking forward to seeing what 2012 brings you for inspiration!
