what i wore wednesday

i’ve only got one outfit to share this week, because well, i didn’t get dressed for four days straight. we were all about jammies around here. today i’m linking up with lindsey at the pleated poppy for some fashion inspiration!

since i didn’t get dressed for quite a few days i wanted to feel a little sparkly–so i pulled out this little jacket and some red lipstick. the jacket was a $2 thrift store find. score! jeans, banana republic outlet. cream tank, gap. leather boots, anthro. ruffle scarf, the pleated poppy.

and once the day warmed up i took off my scarf and had my whoo do you love necklace around my neck. love!

if i could wish for thrift store finds it would awesome leather boots in a size 8.5, a vintage wool coat in the perfect yellow, and a kelly green clutch for evenings out.  what would you loooove to find for $2 at a thrift store?

  1. Just curious….the thing holding me back from thrifting clothes is the “vintage smell” and the fact that it was obviously worn before–and sweated in, etc. Do you have everything professionally cleaned after you buy it? Does that get rid of the musty/dusty smell?

  2. hmmm…my dream thriftstore find would be a piece of that gorgeous bakelite jewelery that I didn’t have sense to pick up when it was super cheap and noone knew about it.

You’ve inspired me. I’ve added a ‘What I wore Wednesday’ section to my facebook page. This is really something considering how much a photo of myself makes me cringe. 🙂

  3. Hi Lisa:
Score! indeed. That jacket is awesome. I love finding cool finds at the thrift store. I have a favorite sweater jacket that I found at a thrift store for $4. I also found a pantsuit that I almost bought at retail for over $150 for $2 at a thriftstore! So much fun.
I would love to find a cute vintage purse and some awesome tea cups and saucers at a thriftstore.

    Marita
