2 way inspiration {outfit to church and then to the beach}

It’s Wednesday, which means I’m linking up with Lindsey for some fashion inspiration!
Above, I wore this outfit to church and then to the beach. It’s not really a beachy outfit but oh well! Dress, Old Navy. Black slip {you can see the ruffle at the bottom} thrifted. Boots, Christmas gift from Steve from Fossil. I am loving these boots. I really want them in gray. Necklace, Allora Handmade. Bracelet, My shop.I should tell you, I am all over the map with sizing. In fact, I hardly bother to worry about sizes at all–I just want things to fit the way I want them to fit. The flowy top I’m wearing above is an extra large. I knew I wanted to layer it and have it loose and comfy. And it was on sale at Target for $6. The sweater over it is a small, and again, it was on sale for $6 too. Yay! Jeans, Anthropologie. Wedges, also Target. Necklace, My shop.

Have you shopped any incredible after-Christmas sales?

and I’m with you on the size thing.. so long as it fits the way i want it to I don’t really care about size.

  3. I am in love with your boots. I really need to find a new great pair!

I’m trying to avoid the after Christmas sales since we went a bit overboard for Christmas itself, but it’s been really tempting!!

  4. I always love your WIWW posts…start here first…BUT I wanted to tell you: Wow! You are looking slim! (Didn’t think you needed to get slimmer before, but you look great!) WTG!

  5. Love that second outfit! I noticed Target had a lot of clearance racks the other day when I was there, but I didn’t have time to stop. Now I want to go back to see what bargains I can find!

  6. I hit some sales for my girls online at Mini Boden and Hanna Andersson. Awaiting the day where it doesn’t make me feel guilty to splurge on myself!

    Love your wedges from Target!

  7. I am so random with sizing too! If I like it, I’ll make it work!! 😉 Cute little guy! And I LOVE your boots!!! Grey would be gorgeous too!!

  8. Cute cute! I love the dress…I just bought a similar one at Kohl’s. I hadn’t thought about putting a slip under it and I love that look! The sweater over the top is adorable also…I was just eyeing a sweater like that and wondering how I would wear it. Thanks for the inspiration! Visiting from The Pleated Poppy. 🙂

  9. Love reading your blog! I’m always impressed (and a little envious!) of your hair! I’ve got naturally curly hair too. what do you tell your stylist to get that do! it’s gorgeous!

  10. I look forward to your pictures on Wednesdays! Old Navy is having a great sale right now. A ton of things are 75% off. I bought a dress there to wear over some skinny jeans. I got the idea from your pictures!

I have some questions for you about your poetic license red shoes. I am looking at either a grey or brown pair. I can’t decide if I want to spend the money….they have to be really great to spend that much on one pair! Do you think they are true to size and comfortable? Can you take the flowers off if you want to? It looked like the flowers were missing in a few of your pictures. I would love to hear what you have to say about it. Thanks!

    1. Hi Michelle! I love my poetic licence shoes. I think they are unique enough to splurge on. I sized down {I’m usually an 8.5 and I bought an 8}. And no, the flowers aren’t removable. xo

      1. Thanks for the information! I normally wear an 8 1/2 also. If I size down to an 8 I can get them even cheaper 🙂

I am loving the molded heart necklace my husband got me for Christmas. Thanks again!

  11. I got 2 (couldn’t choose!) gorgeous winter coats at Target and a pair of low heeled boots–each on sale for $35. I meant to look last year for these things and waited too late. I’m inspired by your posts and love your style!

  12. I’m the same way with sizes. I can wear anything from an x-small to an x-large, depending on the cut, brand, etc.

Sometimes I even shop in the girls’ section since their 14-16 are bigger than some women’s smalls.

Who care as long at it fits the way you want it to, and you like it, right?

    I’m loving your boots too!
