we’ve been out of town for the last few weeks, so it was wonderful to have a saturday at home.
after a veeery lazy morning, we went downtown and got CPK for lunch.
{do CPK’s exist outside of california??}
then we browsed around barnes and noble and saw the new chipmunks movie.
can i just say $8 for a child’s matinee??! yowza!
i hope your saturday was restful and fun.
if i could get just one more saturday, i’d be sooo close to catching up!

We have CPK’s here in Richmond, VA. too… and it costs us about $50 to go to the movies for 3 (2 adults and 1 kid) at matinee price with 1 tub popcorn adn 2 drinks…. expensive!

We even have CPK around the world in Singapore! It’s a little piece of home for us. 🙂 (But not home in California…we’re from Texas.)

i’ve never been to one, but we got a CPK here in Minnesota (well, near me anyway) probably 2 years ago or so . . . with 5 little people we don’t get out too much! glad you had a fun weekend!

matthias LOVED the chipmunks, David slept thru most of it. I thought it was fun–but not as good as the first one.

I am thinking of taking my 5-year old to see The Chipmunks, did your boys like it? I think my Wyatt is the same age as Matty maybe? It does look cute. And yes, we do have CPK here in Illinois but the closest for us is Chicago, a couple hours away.

cpk is in the atlanta ‘burbs, and there’s nothing comparable to their crust. i love me some chicago deep dish, but this pizza’s great when you want thin!
have not had a quiet weekend…need to rest today, even though there’s work to do. could use some prayers that i do not succumb to the tyranny of the urgent.

yes! we have CPK here in SLC. yum yum. that is outrageous for a CHILD’S matinee price. but i do want to see the squeakuel!

I have been following your blog for a bit now. We live in Bakersfield, but our family has a house in Morro Bay, so we are in SLO quite often. When we were there last week, we went to the Sunset Drive-In. We took our family of 4 & it was only $16 for all of us! And it was a double feature of The Princess & the Frog and The Chipmunks. We were snuggled in our PJs & could bring our own popcorn or favorite SLO yogurt. It was so much fun! What a great experience, especially for kids who don’t often get to experience the drive-in. Maybe next time you are looking for a fun & reasonably priced movie option, give it a try!! And CPK is great, but when we are in SLO, it is almost impossible to pass up Firestone. Yumm!!
There are CPKs in other states… we have one where I’m from…. Also Barnes and Noble stores. Don’t you just love them?

Arizona has CPKs! How was the Chipmunk movie? Good for littler ones (3 and 5)? If you’re looking for a great movie, I have taken my kids to see Princess and the Frog TWICE! I know you have 2 boys, but my son LOVED the movie and his favorite was Louis the Alligator. Was that a completely ridiculous suggestion given you have only sons? Would your oldest cringe at the thought? 😉
