thanksgiving recap.

We had a wonderful few days in Southern California with my family. I didn’t take many pics, but here are a few.

We took the kids down to the beach to play while Steve, Susan (my sis) and Danny (my brother) took surfing lessons. The kids built sand castles and dug holes so big they were ‘scary’.

Susan caught on to surfing easily. That is Danny on the left and Steve on the right.

Who is that surfer? Go, Steve!

My beautiful neices.

David was under the weather. Which always makes for lots of snuggle time. David got the bug first, then Steve and Matty. I thought I was going to get away clean, but no…yesterday I was down for the count. Today much better! Thank goodness it was a short one.

At our thanksgiving dinner, David crossed the room to go say hi to great grandma. It was so sweet. So glad I had my camera handy!
Thank you Lord for so many amazing blessings. We are overwhelmed!

  1. We were out of town so I don’t know, but I hope our Southern CA weather was warm for you!

David sounds like he is moving around a lot like my Jenelle. Isn’t it amazing to see them reach out for things! Like Grandparents!

  2. Gorgeous photos, especially the one of David and his great grandma! I am SO jealous of you California folks who can go to the BEACH on Thanksgiving while I try to locate my long underwear!
Glad you all are feeling better.

  3. Lisa – I was just reading along in your blog and then WHAM….that picture of David and Great Grandma….the tears just started coming. Something in that pic is so precious. I love generational pictures. That boy is deeply loved. Thanks for sharing.

PS The pic of your nieces in their matching swim suits…too cute!

  4. Love the pictures. I had such a good time with you guys. I was a little blue on Saturday because everyone went home.

Way to Go for David ! That’s a good way to be thankful on Thanksgiving ! :-)(I know the good feeling when your own child said something nice.. I’ve been there when my son struggles to speak more new words)
