  1. This is gorgeous. I love crisp days, sleeping with the windows open, going to an apple festival in Long Grove, IL, apple pies, Fall TV shows lol

  2. Ok, I keep trying to post but am having trouble…one more go because I am in love with that necklace! I love camping with my two boys and my husband. The fall is just right when we are out there with a great fire, dogs are roasting, and boys are snuggling…days that will slip away quickly.

  3. Fall is my favorite season! I love the change to cooler weather, wearing cozy sweaters, the leaves changing colors, carving pumpkins. This will be my son’s first year trick-or-treating so I’m looking forward to his excitement. Love the necklace!

  4. My favorite thing about fall is the smell of a good campfire while roasting hot dogs and snuggling with my boys while camping!

  5. Hi Lisa, First let me say that I recenty moved to Morro and found yor blog, and visit daily. Your craft is comforting, to say the least.
Now, about fall. I love fall because my 2 of my children (of 4), less one this february were born in fall.I adore the sounds, the scent, the sites, and I feel a rebirth of wonder each and every fall. My youngest boys thrilled me daily for many years, and still do.
    BUT
September 9th will mark the birthday of my third born James. His deathday , I’m certain will be equally as difficult, but I still love fall. The heart of life, is still good. But I miss my baby terribly. Shortly after his death, a bird came in through the sliding glass door. My husband called to me and I came to find a little bird, staring me right in the eye. I said hello, hoping it was James spirit because he would know to come to me in the form a bird, which I love. I dont know where he is. I dont know why, or what to think. But I am still breathing nearly 7 months later, and I am afraid, and I am hopeful, and I am still alive.

  6. I believe my favorite thing about fall is the smell of a good campfire while roasting hotdogs with my husband and two boys. A little nip in the air, good food, a ghost story, and you have yourself a magical night!

  7. Crisp sea air, blankets tugged up at night, the changing light patterns in the garden and across the kitchen floor. Feeling like it is OK to slow down just a bit and settle in just a bit more. Fall.

  8. easy….
    1. my son playing in crunchy leaves (I live in New England)
    2. Weekend after weekend of country fairs
    3. smell of hot apple cider
    It awakes all the senses!

  9. I love everything about fall…apple picking, leaves changing, mums, back to school, cool nights and sunny days. thanks for the great giveaway! -jess

  10. The leaves turning colour. The crisp weather, the smells. Being able to keep the house open and get all that fresh air in before it turns too cold to have everything open. Being able to cozy up in a blanket and sweaters.

    Man. I love the fall.

    Faye

  11. What I love about fall, hmmmm, everything! It’s my favorite season. I love taking the dogs for a hike in the crisp air, with the leaves changing color and no flies. Oh and Fall makes Christmas just around the corner.~Susan

  12. Wandering through the pumpkin patch and apple orchard with my children…and pulling my favorite hand knits out of storage for the cooler weather.
    This new design is beautiful!

  13. well, I love the colors, the crisp fall air, and pumpkins and apples! I also love that beautiful little bird necklace:)

  14. I love fall….back to school means new school supplies! So fun! Here it stays warm through Oct. but does
start to cool off in the mornings…
Time to put out fall decorations…not Halloween yet!
I love the necklace, actually all of your jewelery. 🙂

  15. Here is Arizona it’s hard the tell Fall from Summer — today it is 98 degrees. However one things that does change is the color of the sky. My favorite thing is to look up and see that the color of the sky has changed to the most beautiful shade of blue. Most people think I’m crazy, but I can see it.

  16. My birthday is in October, so I loved fall for many years. Then, in college, I had a run of “bad autumns” = emotional times, sickness, my Mom nearly dying – all these things put a damper on my birthday season for a while. Then, in 2000, we adopted our oldest, and fall was wonderful again!! A day later, I found out I was pregnant with our first biological baby. Then, my birthday followed the next day. with those happy memories to look back on, I love fall again!!

  17. WOW, pick 261!

my favorite thing about fall…wearing a scarf everyday!

    i HEART SCARVES!
    bring on the scarf weather.

  18. My favorite thing about fall is that I know the holiday season is just around the corner. Plus the cooler weather means I get to bring out my sweaters and boots!

  19. My favorite thing about Fall is the way my house feels. More than any other season, in the fall my house feels so cozy and homey! It makes me want to just stay home and bake and cook pots of soup. I can’t wait to get out all my fall decorations!

  20. Ok…so here is the thing, I know lots of people say their favorite thing about fall is the changing of the leaves. And it is also mine. But, it goes deeper than the leaves. The first year I moved to Indiana from New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina, I was driving down the street ( a few weeks after the move) and put the car into a complete stop. There is a tree on this one local street that is huge. The color is like the color of fire with its mix of reds, oranges, and yellows. When I looked at it I knew that there had to be a God, because only he could make something so stunningly perfect and beautiful. It blooms every year and every year I have to stop. I see it every morning on the way to work and it just makes me smile. Living in New Orleans for 28 years and never experiencing fall, I now know what I have been missing out on. I also experienced my first real “you pick” pumpkin patch and had my first taste of apple cider. I have to say, I am a much nicer person during the fall season! God Bless!

  21. The thing I like most about fall is being able to wear nice, warm sweatshirts and fleece. That, and enjoying the colors of the season and wishing I could capture them in my card making.

  22. Fall always makes me think of apple picking. Every year growing up my family would all bundle up and head out to a nearby apple orchard. We’d laugh and climb trees and enjoy the fresh fall air. Apple cider, apple pie, apple donuts, apple crisps, apple dumplings. These things are fall to me. I’ve continued the tradition with my own family and can’t wait to get out to the orchard this year.

  23. Fall seems relaxed and crisp and leisurely after the blazing heat of summer. I can fling open the windows or head out for a lovely afternoon walk. I can enjoy the smells of pumpkins and apples and spices. I can celebrate the many fall birthdays in our family, including my own, and look forward to my favorite holidays, Halloween and Thanksgiving.

  24. Fall…i love the smell, colors, textures. So many things Getting gourds, corn etc. to decorate the home with… I love fall!

  25. Fall is my favorite season for so many reasons. When I was small much of it had to do with the return of cooler weather and the return to school. As I’ve grown older it is the fact that fall reminds us of the briefness and wonder of life with a clarity that is startling.

Crisp blue skies and breezes with a sharp edge cool down the dusty dry heat of summer and gentle the drought colored tan of burnt grass to a faded tan that is restful and combines beautifully with the leaves that begin to turn yellow, red, orange, and even bronze.

The incessant song of crickets, which E.B. White rights about so eloquently in Charlotte’s Web, is a beautiful and haunting tribute to the over-zealous fertility of summer and reminds us that soon it will freeze and the leaves will drop from the trees and we will be left with the etchings of branches against the sky.

The smell of decaying leaves on wet rainy days drifts on chance drafts and breezes and freshens the air with the spiciness of cinnamon.

On wet rainy days the earth begins absorbing resources to save until spring. I love the chill winds on those rainy days and the quietness of winter that begins to invade the outdoors as people begin to spend more time inside, allowing those who like to be outside the space to feel wildness again even if they do live in the suburbs.

Fall gives me the chance to wear jeans, and sweaters, and socks with sturdy shoes. Allows me to feel snug and to hide my inhibitions under clothes.

The wedges of geese flying over calling out to each other always haunt me with their lonely wildness. The drifts of blackbirds gathered under trees, in trees, on wires that swirl up like leaves on a gust of wind thrill me.

There is so much in the turning of fall into winter that calls to the soul. What isn’t there to like.

  26. I love the bird…by far a favorite. Ah, fall…I guess I have to say the autumn colors…mustard yellows, browns, oranges and cranberry colors everywhere, from latte’s (pumpkin orange) to anthropologie (yellow sweaters) to acorns falling (brownish)

  27. My favorite thing about fall is the feel of the air! And how the scents change. As soon as that subtle nip makes its first appearance I am giddy with snuggly thoughts and blankies and cardigans and recipes…I truly love fall!!

  28. My new favorite thing about fall is watching my son play football. He really struggles in school so it’s so nice to see him excel at something and be proud of himself. Seeing him smile big all the way in the stands makes me smile.

  29. My favorite thing about fall….
Walking outside on a cool night and smelling a bonfire or the someone burning their leaves (we used to live in the country and would smell this often).

  30. I love so many things about fall. It’s my favorite season. I love the smells of apple and cinnamon and pumpkin. I love the crispness of the air and the excitement of holidays just around the corner. I love fires in the fireplace and snuggling on the sofa with a good book.

  31. Oh how fun! My favorite things about Fall…

The crisp smell of the air
The brightness in the blue of the sky
Cinnamon Sticks embraced by apple cider, poking out of mugs
    The sound of crunching leaves
Opening memories in the packed away sweaters
    The COLORS!
    Outdoor fires with friends
Pendleton blankets =) to go with the outdoor fire & around friends
The smell of roasted chicken with root veggies…mmmmm, such a yummy Fall dinner

How absolutely gorgeous that necklace will look peeking out from behind a crimson colored scarf! Love your talent!

  32. The things I love about Fall are the colorful leaves, the crisp clean air, and spending time with family on the holidays.

  33. I love the chill in the air and the change of wardrobe and foods.

I love seeing frost ice the ground and wearing a jacket, yet just a few hours later seeing the green grass again and having to change into short sleeves.

I love the way the fields turn golden and the corn stalks make their way from the field to front porches to stand alongside a strawbale and few pumpkins.

I love harvesting all of the produce from the garden and bottling it so as to preserve as much of summer as I can.

In short, I love everything about autumn!

  34. Every fall my mother goes on an annual three week business trip that is always out of the country. For three weeks she is gone and I am completely unable to contact her…no emails, no phone calls, no visits. For three weeks I don’t hear her voice. My favorite thing about fall is the exact moment that I walk into my parent’s home, the third week of September every year, and HUG my mom! I’m 38 years old and my mother’s hugs still warm my heart.

  35. I love… new season, new beginnings. Summer is gone, and fall is sort of a start over. How the wind blows and it has that bite in it, I love the first frost, pumpkins turning orange, and that excitement leading up to Halloween.

Unfortunately, I have a daughter who has a compromised immune system so it also means germs and a winter of being home bound. I’m trying only to concentrate on the good things this year!

  36. What a beautiful necklace! My favorite things about fall are the crisp air, the smell of burning leaves, going to the pumpkin patch, and sitting by firepits with family and friends.

  37. Fall just smells different than the other seasons. It’s a scent I can’t quite put my finger on, but I love it! My dd asked me the other day when it was a beautiful, although unseasonable, 63 degrees, “Mom, do you smell the fall?”

  38. My favorite thing about fall is getting my jeans out again. But I live in South TX – it will be a while until fall hits here. I love the back-to-school crayons and getting organized. It seems even crazy to hope I could win this necklace. But I hope. I love your jewelry. Simply perfect! Kim

  39. My favorite things: Hand holding while pumpkin picking, taking pictures while pumpkin carving, and rejoicing along side three little ones while they beam with pride.

  40. Fall for me is the smell of chimney smoke and a slight chill in the air. The promise of the holiday’s coming as well….. so much excitement surrounds our children during this time! I love it!

  41. Fall has always been my favorite season. There is an ambience about fall that is just intoxicating. Just as I am getting restless with the heat of the summer, fall comes and brings a much needed change. The cool crisp weather and pulling on a cozy sweater for the first time, the way the aspen trees turn gold and almost sparkle here in Colorado, a warm cup of apple cider, rosy cheeked children playing in the piles of leaves, pumpkins adorning all of the front porches, the sound of football games in the background on the weekends, and a day to give thanks for family, friends, and all of our blessings. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to reflect on all of these “litte things”.

  42. Fall is my favorite season, so there’s so many things that I love about it. I especially enjoy baking desserts with pumpkin and apples!

    Thanks!

  43. Fall is my favorite season. By the time it comes, after the long, hot days of summer, I’m so ready for it. I love football, Halloween, and Thanksgiving…all family times. I love the color of the leaves and flowers, and the crispness of the air. Thanks for the giveaway. It’s beautiful.

  44. The crisp air the turning of leaves – I am so thankful I will be in Chattanooga this fall – I love fall in the south, especially in the mountains.

  45. **Falling*** in Love! It’s when my husband and I fell in love and got married. Every year we return to Monticello, where we spent our honeymoon, which is beautiful in the fall…and we fall in love all over again!

  46. The smell!! That’s what i like most. And second the evenings! Its getting dark earlier and i like to egt cosy on the sofa with a cup of tea.

    Love Heidi

  47. crisp autumn mornings, the changing leaves and I can get out my black turtleneck and pair it with my fav blue jeans!

  48. Fall is my favorite season! I love everything about it but right now I’d have to say the crisp fall air – 60’s and 50’s – is the best!

  49. Warm clothes! Scarves, hats, sweaters, SOCKS! I love the chill on my cheeks when I go walking and the hazy sunrise. Oh, who am I kidding, there’s WAY TOO MANY things I love about Fall.

  50. There are SO many things about Fall that I love! First is that it is my wedding anniversary! Oct. 11th. I love the colors, the food, the weather….rainy and dreary makes me feel cozy and want to snuggle with my family, AND it is the start of the holidays!!! There is not one thing I do NOT love about Fall. Thank you for the giveaway! You are too kind!

    Warmly,
    Leslie G.

  51. cool crisp days; hazy, golden sunlight; slight smell of smoke in the air; a favorite sweater; and a big pot of stew or chili for dinner

  52. the smell, apple orchards, leaves falling and crunching under your feet, cool nights and warm blankets as you let the wind blow through your window, bonfires, hikes through colorful woods.

  53. There is nothing more exquisite than a harvest moon. To see the fiery globe start rising out of the east and floating over the dark stillness is my favorite thing about autumn.

  54. LOL–Giving something away is a GREAT way to be inundated with comments, isn’t it?

Well, I could probably find a way to wax poetic about changing leaves or the beauty of schoolchildren returning to their houses of learning…but to be honest, my favorite thing about fall is that the heat and humidity start to abate! Aaah, the pleasure of being able to go outside without sweating. That’s what I like!

  55. you are so popular!!! and famous 🙂 My most favorite thing about fall is Apples… Caramel Apples! You inspired me to Blog this morning. xoxo

  56. My new favorite thing about fall is that my 2 1/2 year old son ( who just started talking a mile a minute) told me the other day that he wanted to be “Woody” from Toy Story for Halloween. This year the holidays will be amazing for us, I can feel it!

  57. this necklace design is simply gorgeous!

my favorite part of the fall season is the return of starbucks’ pumpkin spice latte! even though it stays unseasonably warm here in texas, sipping on one of these lattes takes me right back to the hills of tennessee. i can feel the crisp breeze and see the beautiful leaves changing already!

  58. My favorite thing about fall is when the leaves turn colors. It was especially beautiful when I was living in Boston,MA. The trees would grow so tall and cover the roads, so when you went on walks it would feel as if you were walking through a colorful tunnel. I could walk forever looking at the beauty. Those are fond memories.

  59. Fall to me means Family. The summer seems so rushed trying to cram so much in (I live in Canada so the warm weather goes fast!). We seem to slow down and enjoy ourselves as a family more in the fall. Organizing the children for school, spending as much time outdoors together before the snow starts to fly, planning for Halloween costumes. Baking family favorite dishes with the seasonal bounty, apples & pumpkins. Enjoying a 26 year tradition with friends to attend a local fall fair followed by a potluck dinner for 60+ plus people. Really stopping to be thankful for all that we have. Enjoying the beauty all around us.

  60. I love fall! The brisk change of the weather, the fresh apples (hello avila valley barn!), the smell of smoke from burning leaves or fireplaces getting started–give it all to me! It also feels like the perfect time for “nesting”. I make more hearty meals, read inside more, and start to decorate my house for the seasons. Fall also reminds me that I get to see family soon. That is one of the best parts!

  61. It’s hard to choose just one favorite thing about fall, but Buckeye Saturdays on the campus of Ohio State are unparalleled!

  62. i love watching the pumpkins turn from green to orange, the smell of fall leaves burning and our local vineyard’s harvest party…complete with grape stomping for their “little feet merlot” (made of course, by little feet)

  63. Love the necklace and I love the pic of the boys from the previous post at the candy store…
Fall is my favorite season hands down, I have a hard time narrowing down my favorite thing because it is so many things combined, the cool crisp morning isn’t the same without the smell of the leaves.
So I’ll go for unique. The sound of Jerry Allen calling the UO Ducks football games. He has been doing it for as long as I can remember and the sound instantly feels like fall and football. GO DUCKS!

  64. My favorite thing about this fall is new beginnings. I just started graduate school so I am excited what this first semester will hold. It is a new chapter. In general, I love the cooler weather of the fall. There is something that is so beautiful about the feeling in the air during the fall, you can feel it coming. Fall is my favorite time of year, especially when you are in a part of the country that the leaves are amazingly beautiful.

  65. I love everything having to do with the change of the season, cooler nights, the pumpkin patch, halloween, spooky movies, carving pumpkins, and cozy nights with the candles on while we watch a spooky movie and eat all kinds of cozy warm goodies.

  66. I love the change of weather, of course the leaves changing. Its always wonderful to soak up God's creations. My b-day is after the first day of fall, so that is always fun!
Most of all I love to bake with my kiddos & carve pumpkins. Which they usually gag at the inside of the pumpkins (literally!) so Daddy and I do the carving, they "do" the instructing 🙂
The best part is Apple Hill in N.Cal where there is EVERY kind of yummy apple thing to eat/drink.

  67. Everything about fall in New England is pretty great.. Love the leaves, the cider, the first fire of the season in our fireplace… Oh and our October wedding anniversary is pretty great too!

  68. I love waking up to cool mornings and then feeling the warm afternoon sun coming through the windows. I also love making leaf piles with the kids and jumping in.

  69. i love fall because of it’s freshnesses. Everything is cool and crisp. You get to wear jeans and sweaters. The colors are glorious and show off God’s creativity! And family and friends seem always around for one holiday, event or other acitivity. I love hayrides, pumpkins, and bobbing for apples. It’s just a magical time.

  70. My favorite thing about fall is that it’s beginning and when there’s a beginning there is always an end. What follows fall? Winter, YUCK!

  71. Watching my son, Cameron play in the leaves, chasing the leaves and watch the birdies fly above. He is fascinated with birds. I even put a video of it on my blog. He looks for them everywhere we go. In fact, he is a special needs child and that was one of the words that he would say when he saw one. It was music to my ears since he did not speak much of anything. With therapy he is coming along but I still treasure that word….BIRD!

  72. My daughter sent me a text message to make sure I checked out your post with this adorable necklace. As the remnants of Gustav rolled through and northern air cooled us off I KNEW that I had to go to the basement and dig out my fall decorations. I can’t wear fall colors but I LOVE the depth of reds, oranges and yellows that inhabit our home in the fall. I can’t wait for all of our maple trees to change color next month.

  73. Too many things to choose from…

    Colorful leaves.
    Puddles to jump in.
    Candle lit dinners.
    Pumpkin muffins baking.
    Wearing cozy sweaters and coats.

Ok, I can’t choose just one. Plus, fall means women’s Bible Study starts up! I tell ya, fall is pretty much the best season ever! Especially in the Pacific Northwest 😉

  74. My favorite thing about fall is our town’s Maple Leaf Parade. Our town is covered head to toe in deep reds, yellows, and oranges from the leafs of the giant Maple Trees.

Families come out together with their pets and we all come together as one. To me, fall is family, food, and community.

  75. I enjoy the crisp air, the kaleidoscope of color, the smoky scent of the trees all around us and the crunch of leaves underfoot. As well as the anticipation of traditional Korean pumpkin soup, it’s only available in the fall.

  76. No doubt this is my favorite time of year. The air is light and crisp with a scent that defies description but is oh so distinctly autumn. The cool evenings bring the smell of woodsmoke and an urge to get home to cuddle up next to our own fire. The colors are amazing. The trees, at their peek, are ablaze with vibrant reds, oranges and yellows. And, is there anything better than that first bite of a Macoun picked fresh from the tree? This is the season I find myself outside the most. It’s the season I chose for my wedding and it’s the season I’ll always associate most strongly with family and friends.

    Happy Autumn!

  77. Too many things to list, as fall is my favorite time of year. I love the pumpkin cheesecake ice cream at Ben and Bill’s on Martha’s Vineyard. I love taking walks along the beach with my little ladies snuggled in the stroller together. I love knowing that the holidays are just around the corner.

  78. i LOVE going to my local farmers market on crisp tuesday afternoons and seeing all the fall themed bouquets and yummy baked goods.

  79. One thing that comes to mind about fall is more time playing games indoors with the kids. Last night, we had a riveting game of Memory and then one of Zingo…all because it was dark and gloomy outside. They were forced to actually spend time with each other (gasp) and Mommy!! Good times for all!

  80. I love everything about fall! It is my favorite time of year. I love taking drives through the canyon and looking at all of the trees when the leaves have changed to all of the gorgeous shades of yellow, orange and red. I love the briskness in the air and that it is harvest time. All those yummy garden veggies and fruit – yum!

  81. my favorite thing about fall? A cool friday evening, coming home from teaching to a crockpot of soup, and heading out to one of the first football games of the season at the high school my husband teaches at. I love the fall – everything about it!

  82. My favorite thing about fall is the weather. By the time Fall hits, I’m so over the heat. Fall is is wonderful change for me, not to hot, not to cold.

  83. I love just about everything about fall. My favorite though has to be the feeling of drawing in and cozying up at home. Your jewelry is beautiful. I stumbled across you from another blog…funny how that happens.

  84. Hello, again! I also wanted to re-blog this to you-it is from Jan. but I don’t know if you saw it.
You made mention of David catching every cold going around and since its cold time again, I thought I’d put it ou there and it really does work!
Lisa, Love your jewelry and love that you are right “up the street” from me! (Grover Beach)
My heart aches for David! It seems like the little fellow gets every virus going around!
I know something you should try to help keep his immune system up.
Its called Sambucol- black elderberry. You can get it at Rite Aid. Liquid or chewable lozenges. It can be used for daily maintenance and/or intensive use when you have a virus. Its natural and IT WORKS!!! The lozenges are like sweet tarts and the liquid is a little weird tasting-might want to mask it before you give it to him. Put it in juice?
    Hope it helps! Kathy

  85. Around our neck of the woods, yours too, fall is our summer! The fog rolls away to sunshine in the morning instead of hanging around.-This year its a little late though!
There is something in the air that is hard to discribe. I’ve lived alot of places, CT, FL, TX, CO and now CA-central coast. Even though the climates are so different the “something” in the air come fall, is everywhere I’ve been! No other season moves or motivates me as much.
I think it has to do with whats going on at this time of year nature wise in the universe that affects me emotionally. To me autumn has always been a “beginning”!

  86. I adore this necklace!

My favorite thing about fall is the return of the wind. I love how it makes me need my cozy, comfy sweaters. I especially love the wind kicking up the colorful leaves and making beautiful patterns in the air. I love having a nice warm drink at night before tucking into bed. I just love the fall!

  87. I love finding a special pumpkin to carve with my children… and we read a book called “The Pumpkin Patch Parable” (by Liz Curtis Higgs) which gives me another opportunity to share the love of Jesus with my children while doing a fun activity… I also enjoy munching on the pumpkin seeds – but there is never enough of them in my house! Admire your artistry and would love wearing the necklace! Blessings – Andrea ([email protected])

  88. Fall… the return of routine, the colors of leaves, blankets on the couch, crisp clean mornings leading to fresh warm days, hot chocolate making a comeback…

  89. i love fall… the color of the changing leaves, the smell of apple and pumpkin spiced things, the comfort food that always seems to be made, the crisp-ness in the air and the way that it smells… i can’t wait for it!

  90. my favorite thing about fall is dressing up my kids for halloween, and seeing all the little kids come to my house and seeing all the outfits. and the fact that i have a little redhead that i call my pumpkin. oh, this means too, my favorte holiday is thanksgiving such a special time of year.

  91. My favorite thing about fall is the colors. The colors of mums on my front porch…the color of the leaves changing, the pumpkins I pick with my nephews, the wine I taste on the east end of Long Island.

I love fall, and I love your creations!

  92. It’s hard to write what I like about fall since leaving the carefree days of summer is a challenge. But as much as the lack of schedule and lazy days appeal to our family there is something wonderful about routine and programs starting. It reminds me of grade school and a brand new note book which I would start to write in with the neatest penmanship. So again, this new season, I start with the anticipation of new beginnings.

  93. My favorite thing about Fall are the beautiful colors of the leaves. When the sun hits them….they just POP amoungst the woods so vividly.

  94. I love the falling of the leaves and all the colors that are associated with fall. Reds, oranges, yellows. Plus nothing beats college football and a brand new pair of jeans.

  95. I love everything about fall! I love the chill in the air, tobaggans on my boys, pumpkin patches, camp fires, pumpkin pie, comfy sweatshirts, playing outside and snuggling with my family. I’m counting down the days until it cools off here in Texas!

  96. I just this necklace!
What do I love about fall? I love the colors of the season, but I really love football Saturdays and watching the Buckeyes whenever possible!

  97. I love this design, Lisa. Beautiful. My favorite thing about Fall is that is seems to be a new beginning. I feel like it is more of a new beginning than January is even!

  98. I love that September is the month my daughter was born. She was supposed to be born in August, but was obstinant and stayed almost 3 weeks past her due date…

I love that the month starts out hot, and ends with the need to get out the sweaters….

I love that the last Sunday of the month I spend with lifelong friends at a clambake… this event has been going on for longer than my 37 years…

I love that on the 25th, I get to celebrate the birth of my gi-normously fantastic husband, who has brought ridiculous joy to my life.

    ~ Jill

  99. My favorite thing about fall is raking all of the leaves into huge piles and then watching my nieces and nephews jump into the piles. It’s the most precious thing to see. It makes you forget about all the stresses of life for the afternoon.

  100. fall is my favorite season, so narrowing it down to just three is so hard! my top favs:
    – carmel apples from Rockey Mountain Chocolate Facroty
    – snuggling under quilts with my munchkins
    – brilliant changing colors, perfect for photos

  101. My favorite thing about fall is the new crop of apples. We buy our apples in the fall from a family orchard. Payment is “honor” style and my kids think it is so neat that there are people that still trust in this world. Happy Weekend.

  102. my most favorite thing about fall is pumpkins–of every shape, color and size! thanks for the giveawy! how sweet!

  103. What I love about THIS fall is that it will be nice and slow. Our summer was so incredibly busy but fall? In fall, we have almost nothing planned and I intend to keep it that way!

  104. There is just something about having little kids and Halloween, they love it and so do, also my twin boys were born in Oct, so I love fall!

  105. …these are a few of my favourite things…picking apples, making soup, wearing sweaters, sunflowers, my son’s football games, fall fairs, watching and hearing the geese fly south…and many more!
I love autumn – it makes my soul sing!
    Caro

  106. My favorite thing about fall is the first cold evening when all my family is home. My mom would make chili for dinner and we’d all huddle under blankets in the living room to watch a movie. If we were lucky and it was brisk enough, we could start a fire in the fire place. So basically, I love the coziness it brings to my family.

  107. i LOVE fall. and i cannot wait for it to get here! my most favorite things about fall are all the colors, watching the trees go through their process of change and then letting go, pumpkin spice lattes (mmmmmm), wearing jeans and a zippy, picking up my knitting needles again, feeling that crispness in the air, and of course playing in the leaves!

  108. I love the necklace! It’s so pretty.

My favorite thing about fall, is that it starts getting darker earlier. I love it because it’s so much cozier – with the leaves turning and the cooler weather… I love fall because it means winter is right around the corner!

  109. I just started reading your blog, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorites. My favorite thing about fall is bundling up in warm sweaters and coats and strolling through the park with my husband.

    – – Kim

  110. my most favorite thing about fall is the cooler weather and the beautiful leaves. i think that necklace would go perfect with my fall sweaters and the changing leaves. :0)

  111. I love fall because it is another new beginning. With every new season, especially fall, it gives me an opportunity to evaluate my priorities and to re-establish a schedule. Although in Florida we don’t get much relief from the heat there is an every so slight brisk feeling in the air.

  112. Oh thats easy, although you may think I am crazy but I LOVE the smell of the first fall days. I walk outside early and you can just smell the coolness in the air and it is so wonderful. Unfortunately I live in the deep south, and we dont get to see the beautiful leaves changing, but if I did see it, that may well be my favorite. Love seeing pictures of those gorgeous leaves. One day we are going to make a trip up just to see them, that mixed with the smell of fall, just may tip me over! Oh, and I ordered this necklace for my moms birthday, oooh how I was tempted to keep it. LOL Wouldnt that be something if I got one for myself too!!! 🙂

  113. my favorite things about fall: BEAUTIFUL CHANGING LEAVES, hearing them crunch when i walk, mugs of hot chocolate or apple cider, going to an apple orchard and picking apples to make yummy pies, football season, pumpkins of porches, making big pots of soup on a cooler day, and pulling out my sweaters to enjoy! i LOVE fall. 🙂
    kristinhorlings(at)gmail(dot)com

  114. Can I list my favorite thingS instead? Hot Chocolate, jumping in a pile of leaves, shorter days, crisp and cool air, pumpkins, and the list could go on and on!

  115. Beautiful necklace. I have two favorite things about fall: Going to football games and watching my boys play and of course the other is taking our boat up and down the river watching all the beautiful fall leaf colors. Stumbled upon your blog once and added it to ones I check regularly!

  116. My favorite things about fall, Warm sweaters, cute scarves, cuddling by the fireplace with a good book, jumping in freshly raked leaves with the kids and PUMPKINS!

  117. My favorite thing about fall is walking outside and being able to smell the crispness of the air. It’s so refreshing after a long, humid summer. Oh, and being able to make all of my favorite soups and stews and actually enjoying the warmth of the kitchen!

  118. Fall is my favorite season! I love the changing of the leaves, the cooler weather, seeing families outside raking leaves together, pulling out the sweaters from hibernation…but my favorite is watching the neighborhood kids excitedly walking to the school bus stop in the mornings. The oversized backpacks and the little skip in their step make me smile!

  119. I live in Ohio and we have the most beautiful fall season of all. When the leaves start changing it’s just an awesome sight. Every day brings an array of colors.

    Stephanie M.

  120. Hi, I absolutely love your designs! My favorite thing about fall is snuggling up in front of the fireplace with a good book!

  121. My most favorite "Fall thing" would have to be going to the pumpkin patch! I may have a new favorite this year… expecting our first little one in Feb. & may just have enough of a belly for my husband to make it into a pumpkin! We shall see! Love the design… Just finished our nursery in birds & owls. Pics on our blog!

  122. I love the trees! I live in the mountains of NC and I love the weather and the beauty!

I also love pumpkin bread! We buy a mix (’cause I don’t bake!) at Williams-Sonoma and I haven’t ruined one loaf…yet!

  123. Oh, how I love this necklace! More so because my little granddaughter told me yesterday we were little birds. 🙂

Fall? Because we live in Austin,TX, we don’t get so much of the seasons changing. But what we do get is the acorns. They are everywhere! My little granddaughter and I go into my driveway just about every day and clear off more acorns than you can count and she puts them into pie pans, ‘bakes’ them and pronounces them an ‘acorn pie’. That’s my favorite thing. Acorn pie! (and time with my sweetheart.)

  124. Hi my favorite thing about fall is… seems like alot of new things school… new experience's, I have a Sr. Jr. And a 1st grader!
football season ((I have a drummer)) birthday's my anniversary! the holidays!!
busy thing of the year for us! leaving in West Texas we don't really have a season change, it goes from hot to cold fast! But we love wearing all our sweaters & long pants!
I LOVE your work… I am wanting something for my 18 yr daughter for her graduation gift something about purity. any ideas??

  125. My favorite thing about fall is the cooler (but not cold) weather, and all of the festivals that showcase artisans and their wares. I also like that it’s hot chocolate time, as I’m not a coffee drinker. It’s so nice to walk around the different festivals with a cup of cocoa and enjoy (sometimes even marvel) at the various works of art – and wonder how in the world these talented folks come up with their ideas – let alone the means to bring them to fruition. It always makes me think about what niche I might fill in the world of art.

  126. My favorite thing about fall is the smell in the air of crisp leaves and cool weather – the sound dried leaves make as they rustle in the wind…

  127. Though I’m sad to leave summer beach days behind, fall is my favorite. Driving through trees covered in yellow and orange is absolute exhilaration for me. Otherworldly joy!

What a coincidence (to your beautiful necklace), too, that fall is the time for bird migration. This is my first year to really pay attention to birds and I’ve been looking forward to fall to see which birds I can add to my “sighted” list.

  128. Love that necklace!

My favorite thing about fall is visiting the local apple orchard with my family. Always a fun time and yummy food!

  129. Cool weather, apple cider, candy corn, football, pumpkins, smores, campfires…..I could go on and on! Fall is my favorite!!

  130. I just love it when the autumn air gets a little bit nippy and I can pull out the sweaters! Please pick me 😉

  131. Waking up to a crisp, cool morning, knowing that I can slip into my favorite sweatshirt and be comfy all day; Walking out of the house and catching a glimpse of my breath in the air; Hearing the crunch of leaves underfoot as I make my way to the car; Driving miles of roads lined with brilliant hues of red, orange and gold; Returning to my childhood home and being surrounded with family while we reconnect over mugs of fresh, hot cider.

Ultimately…. it’s that simple, warm connection that comes this time of year. Our lives settle down a bit, and we MAKE the time to be together and enjoy the simplicity and beauty of the fall colors, fresh picked apples and EACH OTHER!

  132. I have so many favorite things about fall! Living in the midwest, you really feel a change with fall-leaves changing colors, the real cool ‘crisp’ feeling in the air, shorter daylight hours, nights by the fire pit, high school football games, and the sound of tractors bring in the farmers’ crops. I must say, however, that my favorite thing about fall is that my kids go back to school! 🙂 It is nice to get back into a schedule and enjoy all of the things that my kids (age 14 and 12) are involved in. If only I could keep them this age and have them NOT grow up…

  133. My favorite thing about fall is “that fall feeling”–you know the one, when you wake up and look outside and the day is just full of promise and potential. When that fall sunshine is making the changing leaves glow and you feel totally energized and refreshed, even if it’s just for a few minutes. Ahhhhh…..I can’t wait for that!

  134. I love the bird necklace–it’s so beautiful! My favorite thing about fall is anything that tastes like, is the color of, or smells like pumpkin!!

  135. The changing of the leaves and the cold air in the mornings…the kind that makes you see your breath when you walk out your front door in the morning. Sweaters! The crunch of the leaves as you walk through the yard.

  136. My favourite thing about Fall, or Autumn as it’s called in South Africa, is the that I know Winter is just around the corner, it’s enough time for me to start hauling out the winter woolies, stocking up of logs for the fire, purchasing marshmallows and starting to use my vouchers for Exclusive Book so that I can stock up on good reads for the chillier days ahead. That’s what I look foward to.

Thanks Lisa, looking forward to seeing who the winners are.

Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa

  137. Living in New England, there is no better place to be in the fall. I love all of the family activities that I associate with fall: pumpkin and apple picking with my two children, hayrides, my son’s soccer games, apple pie and hot cocoa, the beautiful foliage…Its such a fun, beautiful time to enjoy before the cold air and snow arrive!!!

  138. i love this necklace! i love the simplicity combined with elegance in all of your pieces! it just makes it all so personal!

fall…my favorite season for so many reasons. i LOVE pumpkins…pumpkin anything & everything! muffins, pie, candles, ice cream…you get the idea! i love the leaves changing colors and i can't wait to see them on the mountains out our window. we just moved and have an amazing view of the mountains.

  139. My favorite thing about the fall is taking my daughters apple picking. We live in New England, close to many orchards and I try and take them a few times each fall. They love hand picking their own fruit as well as watching cider be made. It’s one of our most favorite family times together. Our bummer this year is that my husband won’t be joining us, as he is stationed overseas with the military. We plan on making a few apple pies for him and freezing them though!

  140. Pumpkin bars, the pumpkin patch, crisp weather, colorful crunchy leaves, picking apple at the orchard, Halloween, making soup, and chili and enjoying all this with my family!

  141. The brisk air and the leaves changing. I love fall, that measn its lots of soup time.Love you blog you inspire me everyday. Hugs to your family

  142. My most favorite thing about fall is…my husband! We got married in Oct. of 1979 on the most gorgeous fall day – the tree in my parent’s front yard was ablaze with oranges, yellows and reds. After 29 years I still look back on that October day as enchanting – and my husband still enchants me, to this very day!

  143. My favorite things about fall is getting out the warm, comfy sweaters and the wardrobe changing from bright to warmer colors. Something about that just makes me feel warmer inside on the brisk days. Always fun to pull out those favorite pieces again!

    Beautiful necklace, as always, Lisa!

  144. enjoy your blog and appreciate your jewelry designs (trying to decide which one will be on my christmas wishlist)!
i love everything about fall but the best might be donning my beloved turtlenecks 🙂

  145. My most favorite thing about fall is the crisp cool mornings, pumpkins and scarecrows all around and jumping into leaves with my kids. When it cools down like this we build a fire outside and roast marshmallows with our kids. Its great family time. Going to the pumkin patch with my kids is also a favorite of mine during the fall season. There are so many things in the fall that I love… the most favorite of all would be any of the above things as long as they are with my hubby and children.

  146. My favourite season. I love the freshness of the air but most of all I love it because it’s cool at night and I start to pile the blankets on the bed. I love to snuggle under a ton of covers with the window open and the fresh air filling the room. It’s times like these that I think of how thankful I am for all that I have….especially a bed to sleep in.

  147. Fall is my favorite time of year. Michigan has gorgeous autumns- I love watching the leaves change colors and I love the cool, crisp air. There is something so fun about only needing a light jacket to be outside. Oooooh! I can’t wait!

  148. Fall….children excited about getting back to school & friends, the changing colors, cool temperatures, football, food and family with the holidays around the corner! What a wonderful time of the year!

  149. Love the colors, getting out warmer clothes, the smell of fallen leaves, but really it’s about not having to shave everyday, hehe.

  150. Fall- just about everything about it I love. It is my favorite time of the year- I think I just love that crispness in the air when you go out in the morning. Pumpkins, football games, apple picking…I could go on and on.
Love the necklace by the way!

  151. i love everything about fall. the decor, the colors changing (i have a mtn view from my bedroom and kitchen), the football …. and so on and so on… but best of all? thanksgiving. my favorite thing about fall is the holidays and extra special family coziness it brings us. thank you for asking us to reflect on such a time. have a great day lisa!

  152. Fall is my favorite favorite FAVORITE season!!! I love the football, decorations, and having my house smell of rich cinnamon and spices. Every year in September, my house transforms in to a fall fantasy. I have fall smelling candles, candle votives, wall decorations, anything and everything is related to fall. The yummy desserts made out of pumpkin. I also love dressing up in warmer clothes, and NEEDING to wear a jacket, and wanting something warm to drink to take the chill off in the morning. It’s amazing.

However, there are two absolute favorite things about fall for me. The first one is the colors. The vibrant, dazzling, vivid colors of fall amaze me. The reds, greens, yellows, oranges, red-oranges… it’s all so gorgeous. To me, this is one of God’s most beautiful works because it’s like the trees are one gorgeous, everlasting canvas of beautiful colors. When I see all of the gorgeous colors on the trees, I really feel God’s presence. For some reason, fall leaves just do that to me, and I love it.

The other thing that I absolutely love about fall is getting out my quilts from my cedar chest. I keep them out only during the fall and winter. I have a quilt that I made (when I was in high school with a very dear friend), and a couple that were handed down to me from my grandmas. Every year, I go and get them out of the cedar chest, and literally sit there and just smell them. The rich smell of cedar that has infused my blankets over the past however many months is just so wonderful. I could sit there for a long time and literally just smell my quilts. I love getting the quilts out because they’re beautiful, but also because they have deep sentimental value to me. The quilt I made is a 9 block pattern, and I used pieces of material from all of my immediate family, both sets of grandparents, handkerchiefs from my great grandmas, and also material from some very dear friends. The quilt has patches of my Grandpa, whom unfortunately is no longer with us anymore. He passed away when I was a senior in high school (I’m 28 now). The quilt helps to bring back the sweet memories I have of my Pap. I see his flannel shirt squares, and it makes me miss him dearly, but it also makes me appreciate all of the fun times we had. Some of the other patches are from another dear friend, Mr. Huber. He passed away from Leukemia, and I have a pair of pajamas that his wife (she helped me make my quilt) made him to wear while he was in the hospital with his cancer. He was a dear man, also. The center of every 9 block is my favorite blanket from when I was little. It was too tattered to give it to my little ones, and I decided to make it the center of my quilt because my quilt is a solid representation of the foundation of my life. The quilt has a piece of every person in my life that had any kind of influence on me, and the memories come rushing in when I pull it out of the cedar chest every FALL.

So…. can you tell how much I cherish fall, and the reasons why?? I so look forward to this time of year every single year. I get like a giddy school girl. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Sorry this is so long, I kinda got on a tangent. My love of fall, and the meaning it has to me is something I can go on and on about (obviously :o) )

    Brianne

  153. I love the necklace! But then I love all your creations! My favorite thing about fall is the coziness of it. It’s hard to describe but it’s a combo of the smell of baking, the cooler air outside and warmer scented air in the house, the leaves falling, quilts out once again, the sound of football on the TV… ALL that! And it’s my birthday in September!

  154. I love the leaves when they change colors, and then the crunch and swoosh under your feet when they fall. I love the smell of a wood-burning fire, or outside fireplace on the breath of a cool autumn breeze. I love watching the flocks of birds visit the lake in our local park on their flights further south. And I love closing my eyes, turning my face up to the waning setting sun, and breathing in life.

  155. Beautiful necklace Lisa!! My favorite thing about fall – no air conditioning, windows open. We also love to play in the leaves with the kids.

  156. My favorite things about fall are my sons’ birthday and the knitting. I never knit on summer, but when it gets colder, I start to do some ‘serious’ knitting 🙂

  157. With all these comments, I doubt that I will be chosen but it was fun thinking about all the great things I love about fall. If I had to chose just one, I would have to say that I love the smell of burning leaves. I miss that smell now that we live in NC as leaf burning is not as popular here as it was in PA. Thanks.
    Cheryl Sims

  158. I love the necklace!!!
My favorite thing about fall is the leaves crunching under my feet when I go for walks!

  159. my favorite, most favorite thing about fall…is the change in the air. The way I can smell fall coming…I know that leaves falling and halloween adventures are right around the corner …it smells like licorice and wood burning.

  160. I like everything about Fall, but I guess the best thing is the nice cool weather. 🙂 Thanks for the opportunity.

  161. Most people I know think of fall as a sad time, with everything dying off. But for me, it’s actually the time of rebirth. Things cool off from the heat of the summer, and the world is able to stop and take a breath, and do what it needs to do to regroup and get ready. Without shedding its old, tired leaves and cleansing itself over the winter, we would never get the beauty and lushness of spring.

It’s my absolute favorite season, with its crisp cool air, and the colors on trees that you only get to see when they’re just about done.

Oh, and my birthday. I suppose that makes me a bit biased. 😉

  162. I love the weather changing. It’s still sitting around 92 here in the MidWest most days, but I know relief is in sight. I can’t wait to open the windows and enjoy a cool breeze, dig out the sweaters and jeans, and make a hundred different kinds of soup!

  163. My favourite thing about "Fall" is that we in the Southern Hemisphere are celebtaing Springtime when you are going in to Autumn/Fall. All of your summer, we have been shivering down here, reading all about all of your wonderful summertime activites & weather, so the thing I love best is, that your "Fall" means our nice weather is coming & I don't have to be jealous any more!

  164. Easy….fall is by far my favorite season. I LOVE, LOVE to just roll down my windows and drive for hours….listening to my favorite music. This is going to sound cheesy but I will stop to take pictures of the trees and leaves….I love it!! All of the colors take my breath away. It is hard to believe I am celebrating fall in Guatemala….which is the land of eternal spring. So, I hope you all enjoy fall for me!! I sure do miss it!!!

    -Lindsey Wheeler

  165. My new favorite thing about fall is that my little baby girl’s birthday is coming up! We will be celebrating her 1st birthday soon and now fall has a whole new meaning for me. I love to think back and remember what I was doing this time last year and how much I was anticipating the birth of our first child. Just the sight of leaves changing and the smell of fall brings me right back.

  166. After a long, hot summer (and before a cold & snowy winter!), I love the crisp air, wearing jeans and a sweater without being too hot or too cold, football games, and most of all, the fall leaves.

thanks for a chance in your lovely giveaway!

  167. I love fall because of the beautiful motley leaves and the sidewalks full of it to kick into.

A lovely necklace one more time!

  168. I live in Arizona…

Fall for us means finally being able to turn off the air conditioning (usually around November 1). We open all of our windows and doors for delicious fresh air!!!

Taking my kids to the zoo. (it’s way too hot in the summer).

Walking or riding books to my daughters school… again it’s too hot now.

sweaters, fall colors, halloween, decorating the house and pulling out all of my yummy Fall candles….

    I love Fall.

    HOORAY!!!

  169. Hello, greetings from Berlin, Germany!
I love your jewelry! And thank you for sharing your family life with me!
Fall… I like the cold fresh air and the colorful trees. And I like to take a walk in the woods an smell the damply ground.
And this fall my little girl has its 1st birthday!

  170. My favourite thing about fall is the change and with that the beauty in nature!! I love the colours of fall so so much! The leaves turn orange and red, the nuts fall down (I remember so well throwing sticks at the nuttrees as a child, so that the nuts would fall down!), and over all there is this light! The sun shines much warmer and more..how can I say..hm..cosy? Don’t know..it just warms my heart, I guess.
I’m usually not into taking walks, but fall makes me want to go out and just enjoy the day!
Love the necklace, by the way. Such a simple, but beautiful design..

  171. I absolutely love your designs.. have been waiting to see what the sex of my baby was (just born last week) to order a necklace. But anyway…

My favorite thing about fall used to be (I live in Hong Kong now so there is no fall) the cooler weather, wearing jeans and a sweatshirt. Now I look forward to the Chinese Mid-Autumn festival. It’s the lantern festival and I love taking my daughter to pick one out and then being among the millions of people walking the street at night with the singing lantern.

  172. Let's see – fav things are the beautiful fall leaves, cooler weather, anything with pumpkin in it, the wonderful scents, & Thanksgiving – my fav holiday.

I actually have one of these exact necklaces and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it, but my mom loves my necklace too so if I won one of them I could gift it to her.

  173. my favorite thing about fall is the colors.

not necessarily the colors i see around me here during the fall, or anything magical like that.

just the typical colors that come to mind when one thinks of fall.

  174. My favourite thing about Fall is Halloween. I have a little girl who’s 6, she’s a “special” child who doesn’t get to do very many “normal” kid things. Halloween is a time she can dress-up like all the other kids and do just what they are doing.
It’s a great day for us!

  175. My favorite thing about fall is visiting the orchard and getting fresh Macintosh apples. Cider, donuts and candy apples. Pumpkins and pumpkin roll. Taking the children to pick their pumpkins. The leaves turning. I guess I have more that one favorite thing I like about fall!!! Your necklace is beautiful.

  176. I live in Arizona so we don’t have much of a fall season. What I loved about fall when I lived in Kansas was the first time you were able to bring out your sweaters. It always felt good to bundle up…for a little while. I also love all things pumpkin…candles, pie, cream cheese, etc.

  177. As old or as similar it is to many people, I love it when the leaves begin to turn orange to anticipate the yellow leaves. (You see, I was born and raised in Hawaii. Leaves don’t change color. Its constant.)

  178. I love the colors – all the oranges, browns and darker greens that you only see this time of year. And the colors in seasonal foods aswell, pumkin soup, steamed green beans with breadcrumbs and butter, grilled mushrooms fresh from the forest and apple pie with cream.

  179. Celebrating our son’s birthday. He’s will be six in October and I still remember the wonderful feelings of antecipation waiting for his arrival six years ago.

I experience those same feelings every Fall, except that now I look forward to watching him grow and experience new things.

  180. my favorite thing about fall is i only just started to like it last year. i finally got into the fall spirit (it used to be “that season” i had to get through in order to have winter). but, it’s also fun because of our anniversary (sept 15) and soon we’ll have a fall baby. and i enjoy a good harvest festival.

  181. Cool Clean Air
Leaves in piles to jump in
    Pumpkins to Carve
    Cider
    Comfort Food
    Soft Socks
The colors that come alive in my camera
    Warm Fleeces
    Campfires or Fireplaces
    My wedding anniversary = )

  182. it has to be the turning leaves. i know it’s simple but it’s my favorite thing. i love to go driving and looking at the beautiful trees.

  183. Pumpkin Spice Frappachinos at Starbucks! Okay, so it may not be my absolute favorite thing about fall, but I just found out they are back already and I am totally excited.

  184. the way the sunlight changes in the afternoon…..the shadows are longer, the trees changing colors…the grapevines changing colors……ALL OF IT!!!!!!
    julie

  185. Fall is the best season of all. It means being comfy in jeans (no sweaters in AZ in fall) and celebrating the best holiday of all…Thanksgiving! I am thankful for my sweet, 2-year-old son Andrew. I am thankful to see the year progress through his little eyes! It’s such a blessing to see the world through a child. 🙂 Every day seems better than the last!

Love your jewelry – you are incredibly gifted. Thanks for allowing us to view a bit of your life too!

  186. Oh, how I love the fall! My favorite thing is drinking a hot cup of tea or apple cider while wearing a sweater in the brisk weather 🙂

  187. I love the smell of the fall, the fresh new air, the reminder that all great things come to an end but that end is beautiful in itself. I absolutely love the colors and the sound of the wind. I love that in the colors God reminds me that while the beauty and warmth of summer is over He is there orchestrating the fall and preparing us for winter and new things of spring. I love that the wind blows a little harder to remind me that even though winter is cold and harsh, God’s love is there always gently touching our loves. I love the fall for the above reasons and for many many more.

  188. My favorite part of fall is the memory of it. We have lived in tropical climates both in the States and overseas for six of the last eight years. The beautiful colors, the crisp fresh-picked apples, and the smell of cider, and the chill in the air are only memories now. I love living overseas but oh how I would give anything for a hot cup of cider as I walk along a path enjoying the maples as they turn…

  189. finding a spot of beauty to have a quiet moment, while wearing my comfy-est sweater. Pouring hot chocolate out of my vintage green thermos and handing it to grateful, red-nosed kiddos. That butterflies feeling I get when I walk out of the house in the morning and feel the first crisp morning, like you can conquer anything!

  190. My favorite thing about fall is our annual family picture in the a huge pile of leaves we make in our front yard. Then of course we do lots of running and jumping in the leaves too!
Your designs are so wonderful! I hope I win, but if not I’ll have to wait until Christams (I’ve dropped my husband serious hints that I want something from your shop this year).

  191. The crisp cool colors and the sun crackling upon the leaves- while camping in the Appaclachian mountains. Breath-taking. And our wedding anniversary.

  192. I love photography, and my favorite time of year by far is fall. The trees and changing leaves are just so amazing and vibrant. And I love that fall just kicks off the holiday season and the start of all the festivities and the excitement. We are having our first baby in December so this is an especially exciting year! (I so love your work – I can’t wait to place some orders with my baby girl’s name on them!)

  193. What is there not to like about fall? The changing color of the leaves, the crunch of blowing leaves getting stepped upon, the cooler air, the pumpkin farms, corn mazes and apple cider. It is the best!

  194. I love the sensory overload! The luscious colors, scents, and flavors that accompany fall. The orange of pumpkins, harvest moons (I swear they look 10x bigger in the fall), Indian corn, the crunchiness of leaves, the yellow of school buses, salty toasted pumpkin seeds, hay bales, first frosts… I also agree with Mo on the light quality here in the PNW – well said.

  197. We live in the Northeast so fall means so many amazing changes – the leaves, the temperature, the landscape. My favorite thing of all is orange – orange leaves, orange pumpkins, orange sweet potatoes, even the cute orange martini glasses I saw tonight with little spiders on them. I love the way orange just comes to life in ours.

  198. Soup! I make it once or twice a week and it warms my house, and my soul! I also love fall colors, and love to spruce up my house with them.

    Beautiful like always!

  199. My favorite thing about the fall is the way the air smells. The summer breezes turn a little chillier and you need to wear a soft sweater when you are outside at night. The color of the leaves and the smell of apple cinnamon candles. Those are all of my favorite things about Fall!!

Praying for you through this time of loss.

  200. I Iove the colors of fall. Isn’t it amazing watching the colors of leaves change to all different shades of reds and orange and yellow!?

  201. I think the best thing about fall around the Pacific Northwest is the quality of the light- it makes all the colors crisper and brighter. And it gets cold everynight but the sun keeps coming out even when you think it won’t. And the pumpkins we grow in our yard are so fun to watch. Oh and the leaf piles we will soon be making that the kids and dogs will play in. There are so many things I love about fall!

  202. My favorites are pumpkin bagels with pumpkin cream cheese from Einstein Bros. Bagels and pulling out clothes from last season that I had forgotten about but love!

Where to begin….cool, brisk air on a brilliant sunny day; eagerly watching the leaves change colour with my three little ones; shorter days, which lead to long, cozy nights with my family; rainy, stormy nights, while snuggled with a book; wet, rainy walks at the beach with my rain-geared littles…I suppose I should stop! Oh, but I must add…SOUP! Fall brings out my desire for yummy soup, love love love the soup weather!!!

    spending time with my kids,
    one and all!

    Happy Fall Lisa!

  220. My favorite thing about fall when I lived up north was the turning of the fall leaves. So beautiful. And that first refreshing hint of cool weather. Now I live in Florida and desperately miss these things. Today however I went to Starbucks to find it is once again time for their pumpkin flavored coffees. Yum. As it is 95 degrees here still I got mine iced!
