laundry-linelaundry-line-2laundry-line-1

an idea i’ve had simmering for quite some time has finally made its way into reality and i have been so SO excited to share it with you.  hand-drawn images of laundry hung from a clothesline are hand-stamped onto sterling (1/2″) dics.  so sweet. so whimsical. so simple.  and we are giving two laundry line necklaces away.  leave a comment and tell us what kind of laundry detergent you use.  and of course, you can see more details about the new necklace HERE.

  1. i use tide granular….it is the best for getting the mildew stink out of towels in a front loader! love the necklace!

  2. How do you come up with such cute things? I love your pieces. I use Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day detergent in Baby Blossom for our 1 year old (it smells SO delightful!) and Gain or All for the rest of us. I hope I have some new “laundry” to wear! 🙂

  3. Adorable!! We use Tide HE but I prefer Tide Free when we had our old washer. Thanks for doing the giveaway.

  4. Oh my goodness! How creative and original! Would love to own one! Love your blog…you have a beatiful family

  5. Hi Lisa,

What a fresh and summer inspired necklace. Definitely represents my life. We use Tide HE powdered formula for all our clothes and hang them out to dry on our clothesline in the summer months!

    Many thanks,
    Lisa Hamelin

  6. Awe – cute! A have a cloth diaper store and have seen tshirts like that necklace. Love it! We use Allen’s Naturally here.

  7. currently, since we live in a dorm with college students, we usually have a surplus of TONS of unwanted detergent left behind from the students. so…at the moment, all. i LOVE the summer and winter-they don’t want to pack it in their car, so we get all the extra detergent. thank you hart hall!!

  8. Hi Lisa! We use Tide around here, and I hang dry most of our clothes so I especially love the clothesline necklaces!

Thanks for the chance to win!

  9. My favorite laundry detergent is anything lavender scented! Real lavender scented. Not with that fake vanilla-y lavender smell. Must be real! Costco makes a great lavender scented HE liquid that I love. I add baking soda to the wash for extra cleaning, and dream of having a laundry line outside to hang my clothes on. Sigh. One day. For now I will dry my sheets in a dryer and dream of a time I can dry them outside in the sun, and go to bed, my kids and I, on sweet, sun dried sheets. (o:

  10. Lisa-
Iam a tide girl !!! I would LOVE a chance to win this necklace to add to my growing collection of your jewlery that I have !!!

    Happy 4th

  11. This is such an adorable necklace! I use the Costco free and clear detergent…and vinegar. I’m obsessed with vinegar 😉

  12. How cute!!! We use Seventh Generation. 🙂 Love that it’s made for cold water! 🙂

  13. beautiful! i LOVE the necklace my husband ordered for me from you =) i am happy to say that as of this week i use he tide since i’m the proud new owner of front loaders!

  14. Usually Tide. Love the new necklace. Didn’t realize it until today, but we drove through San Luis Obispo on our way to Hearst Castle when we were recently visiting Santa Barbara.

  15. Used to be whatever is on sale but now I know there is no better cleaner than Tide. Sweet necklace…

  16. We use whatever is on sale but I used to make my own laundry soap. I think in honor of summer I’m going to get back to doing that. It seems like it worked better than store brands and doesn’t contain the perfumes, dyes and fillers that commercial laundry soap does. We’ll see.

  17. Wow! Those are sooo cute! We use anything that is free and clear and ON SALE! I did try soap nuts recently and they really did work so, I might pick them up when we run out of our regular. Thanks and keep those lovely photos coming!

  18. This necklace is adorable!! All your jewelry is amazing. We got one for my mom for mother’s day and I can’t wait to have one of my own… one of these days… one of these days.
    We use Tide.

  19. Dear Lisa,
The laundry line necklace is really cute. We have no allergy issues here so I buy whatever smells nice and is on sale. Sometimes it’s Tide, sometimes Arm & Hammer, often Purex, as long as it’s on sale. However, one smell that is so comforting and inviting, which I haven’t used in years, is Dreft. I love the smell of it, it’s evocative of new motherhood and brings me back to when my boys were infants.

  20. LOVE this new necklace. What a fabulous concept.
We either make our own with castille soap, borax and washing soda. Or I buy ECOS lavender from Sam’s.

  21. what a cute necklace! I use either Arm and Hammer liquid detergent or the store brand which I usually buy when A&H isn’t on sale. And I always buy unscented of whatever I get!

  22. Tide free or anything that’s on sale in the no perfume category – kids have a mild case of exzema – thought they would have outgrown it by now, but everytime I try to switch ~ they have mild breakouts. You never cease to amaze me with your inspiration – love the new necklace!

  23. All Free and Clear… we try to be as natural as possible around here (without going so far as to wash our clothes by hand in the river!) Love your necklaces! Can’t wait for an excuse to get myself one! Can “because it’s Friday” be a reason??!!

  24. I love this necklace design- very sweet and clever! We use Seventh Generation for pretty much all but the nastiest of preschool-related stains, and then I use a combo. of the environmentally friendly stuff and some heavy duty stain remover…

  25. Lisa….I love this new design. I LOVE IT!

I use anything that is cheap…and only powder because the water is so hard in Boise my laundry stinks if I use liquid soap.

  26. too cute lisa! We use Tide here at the Primm household. I was just telling a friend the other day that I remember my great grandmother using Tide as well as my grandmother and my mom. I think the only reason I use Tide now is because of the smell that I remember as a kid. I am not “brand sensitive” to anything else but I can’t stand the thought of using something different for my clothes! 🙂
    Have a great weekend!

  27. Absolutely adorable!

I use Tide – no overpowering scent and it gets our clothes clean the first time. 🙂

  28. oh my…there are alot of comments here! I love this neckles what a charming idea! You are an amazing artist! I use tide…is there really any other! hahahah Blessing shi~

  29. How will you ever choose just one person from all of these entries? I absolutely loved the creativity of the person who did the little poem using all the different brands of detergent. Smart! We use tide with bleach! I spend way too much time doing laundry and I only have 3 children! The necklace is really cute too.

  30. Hey Lisa, Summer, et al! My soap is not so exciting but my clothes are pretty clean! I use all free-n-clear (free of perfume and dye). The new necklace is darling! You are so creative to see it and then to make it happen. Amazing! Have fun 🙂 Love you guys 🙂

  31. That new necklace is ADORABLE!! I am always amazed by the way you simply yet creatively capture life in your jewelry and photography. We use Kirkland brand (costco)

  32. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new necklace! Love the onzie and the boxers especially! We use All Baby. We use it mostly for our children but my husband loves the smell. Thanks for the give-away!

  33. I use the most awesome laundry detergent that is made by a wonderful soapmaker on Etsy (Heart J Creations). My husband and toddler son both have very sensitive skin and eczema. This is the first detergent I have found that does not irritate their skin but still works, and smells, great! You can also choose from a huge variety of fragrances. I love that, in addition to helping my guys, I am supporting a handmade product.

Thank you for the opportunity to win one of your fabulous necklaces!

  34. Thanks for the giveaway, Lisa. What a cute concept!

My mother always used Tide in our laundry and today, I am a Tide user. I never sway! :o)

  35. Thanks for the giveaway, Lisa. What a cute concept!

My mother always used Tide in our laundry and today, I am a Tide user. I never sway! :o)

  36. We use Norwex. It is a chemical free, fragrance free etc… detergent that works well on my kid’s sensitive skin. Took a little while to get used to not smelling a scent. But it’s been great on their skin!

  37. I still use Dreft for my 2 and a half year old. Dreft for the baby, too. I just love the way it smells! For our clothes I use a store brand that is free from perfumes and dyes.

  38. Hello 🙂
I am a student, and spend my money on art supplies and paint….. so I typically use whichever laundry detergent is cheapest that month.
My favourite though, is Gain Apple Mango Tango – smells amazing!!

LOVE the new bracelet. I don’t have kids though. I have dropped major hints about my favourite bracelet for my birthday coming up, so hopefully I will have one of my own soon!

  39. For the longest time we’ve used Dreft here (because DrillSgt. has some SERIOUS allergies), but we finally tried the Kirkland EcoFriendly brand and it worked!! Hooray!!

    Hugs & Blessings!

  40. mostly tide & shaklee detergent for us. love the necklaces. laundry is definately part of our everyday life!

  41. We are Gain all the way in this house! If I won your necklace, I’d give it to my best friend, Lourdes, who turned me on to your site and your beautiful talents–and is also entered to win!! I bought the Mama necklace yesterday and can’t wait to wear it!!

  42. Lisa…you are a GENIUS!!! I am always so inspired by your jewelry and your photography! My new favorite is Gain…it cleans well and the smell, oh the smell! Here’s a little laundry tip—if you have something with yucky odors (and with two boys, I’m sure you NEVER experience that!) throw some vinegar in with your detergent! It works wonders! Hoping I win!

  43. We started using Purex detergent and I love the smell of it. It makes my clothes smell good even when they’ve been sitting in the drawer for awhile. But my MUSTHAVE for laundry with two small boys in my house is OxyClean (God bless Billy Mays!!!!) I have bottles strategically placed throughout the house and sitting next to the washing machine for the stains that have slipped by me while getting the loads ready. It’s a lifesaver!!!

Your necklace is wonderful! I love it! XOXOXO

  44. I try to use very soft detergents… with a jasmine perfume… and it’s so nice when I put them wetting to pass by and they smell so good… 🙂

PS: sorry for my bad english….it’s not my language! But I really love your necklaces! All of them!

    xoxo

  45. Cheer all the way baby! Love the smell 🙂 and the best part about laundry at my house…..my husband does it all! I haven’t done a true “load” for 10 years.

  46. I love Tide Mountain Spring…….but it’s just too dang expensive. So I’ve been getting SUN burst……from Target and it’s like $2 something a bottle. Smells good too 🙂

  47. SO cute! I use liquid Tide and Oxy Clean. Then bounce dryer sheets when I don’t have the luxury of hang drying!

  48. I’m a Tide girl, born of a Tide mother and hopefully I will raise a Tide son. He’s six months old tomorrow- think it’s time to teach him to do laundry?

  49. Hi Lisa. I just love all your designs. Whimsical things are my absolute favorite. In my house we us Tide. It reminds me of my Grandma’s house.

  50. adorable necklace! we use norwex laundry detergent. also, did you know vinegar makes a great fabric softener?

  51. This brings back memories of childhood…we used a ringer washer and we didn’t have a dryer growing up, so we hung everything out on the line. Reminds me of the squeek the line made as you reeled in the crisp fresh laundry…costco brand laundry detergent

  52. Amazingly cute necklace-LOVE IT! I make my own laundry soap using ivory soap, borax and washing soda. Super simple, super cost effective and it works great ! I found the recipe on you tube and totally surprised myself because I really never thought that would be something I would be making for our family. It’s actually quite neat !

  53. What a darling little necklace. I love the tiny little charms for each member of the family!
We use ALL Free and Clear as we have a family full of allergies. This is one of those weeks I can’t seem to catch up on the laundry. Son just got back from a week of Boy Scout Summer Camp…my 2 daughters and I took a weekend trip while he was gone…add to that the usual work clothes for hubby and all the linens, it seems the mounds keep getting higher instead of lower. PLUS it’s been raining for a week so I can’t hang anything outside! I know what I’ll be doing this long weekend! LOL

  54. Love the adorable “Laundry Line” design!

We use Method detergent, and plenty of it – for our new 3 week old baby girl!!

  55. Love the adorable “Laundry Line” design!

We use Method detergent, and plenty of it – for our new 3 week old baby girl!!

  56. The new necklace is adorable! For laundry I love the smell of Gain, but if its not on sale I pick up Purex Natural Elements…

  57. Love the new necklace – heck, love all your stuff!!! So creative and whimsical!

    Laundry detergent – Sunlight HE

  58. Hi Lisa,
Love the new necklace. With 2 boys, I am always in the laundry room washing hockey and soccer uniforms. I use Tide Coldwater most of the time. Cheer Dark for black and navy. I would love to be entered in the contest. I’ve gotten many compliments on my other necklace.

  59. I currently have three laundry soaps on the go . . . Tide Free, Zero and Baby Soft. I ADORE the new necklace, it totally rocks!!

  60. I love the necklace. Your jewelry is beautiful as is your photography. I read your blog weekly for a little sunny inspiration. My fave detergent is homemade. I am a science teacher and taught my kids how to make homemade household cleaners and found this recipe that I now use at home.

    1 quart Water (boiling)
    2 cups Bar soap (grated)
    2 cups Borax
    2 cups Washing Soda

Add finely grated bar soap to the boiling water and stir until soap is melted. You can keep on low heat until soap is melted. Pour the soap water into a large, clean pail and add the Borax and Washing Soda. Stir well until all is dissolved. Add 2 gallons of water, stir until well mixed. Cover pail and use 1/4 cup for each load of laundry. Stir the soap each time you use it (will gel).

  61. Hi Lisa,

I use the Kirkland Signature brand in the powder form from Costco……usually. If not, it is Tide all the way baby. Have a great 4th of July celebration.

  62. whatever’s cheap, but a good name brand. i love tide. use 1 c of tide (classic original scent), heaping scoop of oxi clean powder and one cap of downey (april fresh). yummy.

love, LOVE this necklace. too cute, what a sweet idea. :o)

  63. I use homemade laundry detergent! I use borax. washing soda, dr. bronners bar soap, and lavender essential oil. It’s cheap, smells good, and does a fabulous job!
    Brandy from Tennessee

  64. I’m a “what’s on sale” kind of gal, but usually go with Purex. Recently found a sale on Tide at Family Dollar, so I might be switching… still waiting on the final word.

    Love the necklace!

  65. I tried soap nut shells and love them. I even found out that you can wash your hair with them ( I really couldn’t believe that), but I tried it and it was better (on my my fine hair) than everything I used before.
Thanks for this lovely lovely giveaway!

  66. I love Purex. Normally when it is on sale at my grocery store and I have coupons I can get it almost for free.(I am the queen of coupons in my house) I love the scents and it seems to work very well. I love the new necklace and would love it around my neck even more.
    Megan from Louisiana

  67. Wow, I love the new necklaces. I usually buy Tide with Downey April Fresh in it. Sometimes, though, I’ll buy Gain. I do love the Gain original fabric softener. It makes your clothes smell awesome!

Also, I wanted to say I love the canvas printed photos over your dresser. Not only are they great photos, but they go so well together–such great picture ideas you have.

  68. I have always uses whatever free and clear brand that was on sale, but we have switched to more environmentally friendly brands like 7th generation and ecos and have been very happy with them:) The new necklace is so sweet:)

  69. Seventh Generation (unscented, & I add lavender essential oil) when I find it on sale,
and homemade laundry soap when I run out.
I like them both equally, but there is a special laundry thrill that comes with using homemade…
and don’t we need some laundry thrill in our lives?

  70. Dreft- it was supposed to be for the baby’s clothes- but it smells so good we use it for everyone!

  71. I use Purex because someone told me a long time ago that it was a good value and I’m all about that! But I may look into Costco. I love that necklace. All of your jewlery is such high quality. That is what I love about it!

  72. Tide is our detergent for many many years now.
and oh my heck that necklace is too stinkin’ cute. Loves it!

  73. Love the new design… it is on my wish list.. sent your link to my hubby..HINT HINT in the subject!
Any way.. I always used Tide… but really for the price, Arm and Hammer works awesome and for tough stains… Zout!!! Must have Downey.. was this supposed to be just detergent???
Thanks for the possiblity to win!! I read your blog all the time!

  74. We use All free and clear for our allergy prone skin around here. Love the new design
with the little clothes as though on a clothesline. Thanks for a chance to win.

  75. Stinkin’ winkin’ adorable…. We useTide along with liquid Downy pure essentials aloe and white lilac fabric softener which smells like absolute heaven………

  76. Hello Lisa – I use liquid Tide w/a touch of Downy. Love it. I also LOVE your new laundry line necklace! It’s absolutely sweet. You have such a wonderful God-given gift to create these pieces. You have a way of touching our hearts!

    Blessings,
    Marie

  77. We use the he all free…..husband and kiddos have sensitive skin! Just got a necklace from you and absolutly love it! THank you so much. I too have 2 little boys and really enjoy your blog. The pictures are awesome and I hope I win the new necklace so adorable. Your so talented.

  78. Thanks, I get so many compliments on my “love with your whole heart” necklace.
I hang laundry on the clothesline as therapy. Maybe I need a second necklace.
I make my own laundry soap and hope to not never go back to store soap.
    TTFN

  79. Before we got our new front loader, I used to make my own laundry detergent using Washing Soda, Borax and some grated Fels Naptha soap. Now I have to use HE, so we use Tide. In place of dryer sheets, I put a few drops of essential oil (lavendar is my favorite) on a washcloth and throw it in with the wet clothes. Saves lots of money and better for the environment!
    Love the necklaces! So cute!

  80. Who doesn’t love a free giveaway and one that is so cute as well. With one of my children having a severe disability we generally use Gain or Purex, but, either one has to free of everything. God Bless

  81. we use meijer naturals or all free and clear. i love your blog and jewelry! thank you for sharing and much love to you….laura

  82. Your jewelry is beautiful! I already have one necklace and keep hinting for my husband to get me another one. 🙂

I’m a tide girl. My mom always used it and I continued to do so when I got married.

  83. just finishing up a container of Gain and am going to try making my own laundry soap!
such a cute idea, totally love the necklace

  84. I make my own. I found this recipe sometime ago on a blog. HOME – MADE CHEAP LAUNDRY SOAP.
One bar of Fels-Naptha soap (grated), 1 cup borax, 1 cup washing soda and 1/4c Oxy Clean. Thanks for the chance to win.

  85. Love the new design. I use Tide free and add a drop of lemon essential oil to make it smell for my husband.

  86. I use Seventh Generation in Lavender and Eucalyptus. It smells so nice! I love the new necklace! One day, I will own one of your pieces…

  87. I LOVE your jewelry and plan to direct my husband here very soon. (I’m turning 30 in August, and I have a son who is almost 1!)

    We use Kirkland’s earth-conscious detergent!

  88. We use Tide for the front loader, but we try to hang the laundry out in the summer months. I love the new necklace!!!

  89. My washer and dryer came with three years of free detergent so for the last three years we have been using Tide HE. But secretly, my favorite thing to wash clothes with is johnson n johnson baby wash. My clothes are just as clean and I feel like I am carrying that newborn scent with me all day!

  90. When I was single, I used whatever was on sale but my husband is loyal to Tide! We use Tide free for HE washers. I LOVE the new design! It takes me back to the the days when I was a little girl trying to help my “nannie” (grandmother) hang the clothes on the laundry line…….it’s nice to remember simplier times….
My husband and daughter gave me the Mama necklace and ring with all 3 of our names on it for Mother’s day. They are so beautiful! Thank you for creating such beautiful pieces and for sharing your thoughts and pictures with us. I have found myself addicted to your website and blog. Thank you for reminding us to enjoy the small, simple moments in life……

  91. We have a pully-style clothes line off our deck to a tree and this necklace reminds me of it!!
We use Charlie’s Soap- great for all our cloth diapers!

  92. I love the new design!! We use Tide…actually my husband does…he does ALL the laundry!! He enjoys it – Who am I to take that away from him 🙂

  93. That new necklace is so sweet…almost makes me want to do laundry. Makes me think of childhood and my mother hanging out laundry to dry. I loved the smell of it. I use Tide. We get a lot of stains in this house. Stains= fun summer days. Right?

  94. I have fallen in love with the all natural Mrs. Meyers Clean Day laundry detergent in the WoNdErFuL and GlOrIoUs lemon verbena scent! When I do laundry it leaves a light, clean scent in the whole laundry room! It makes doing laundry fun and the scent makes me happy! 🙂
They also have liquid softner and dryer sheets, as well as other home cleaning prodcuts.
The necklace is AdOrAbLe!!!!! Would absolutely love to wear it, and my friends would be envious!

  95. I just love your jewelry – so inspiring and creative. I always dream about having a piece! I use Shaklee Concentrate Get Clean Fresh Detergent. It works great, even on all my baby’s cloth diapers. Cloth diapers are especially cute all lined up hanging on a clothes line!

  96. SOOOO CUTE!! Oh my goodness…I can never decide which necklace to order from you and now I’m REALLY going to have a hard time!!

I use Cheer Free detergent (usually) and some yummy smelling detergent from Victoria Secret that I use only on sheets and towels since I can’t afford to use it all the time!

  97. I love your jewelry! It is all so inspiring and some day I will be able to order some of the loveliness!! For now I’m happy to get just a chance to win this whimisical piece. I use Arm & Hammer liquid laundry soap… works well and is cheap!! Thanks for hosting a give away!

  98. I use GAIN detergent, original scent and I LOVE the way it smells!!!! I also LOVE all of your creations and your sweet family!!! Thanks for sharing!

  99. Such a great necklace. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
So this sounds lame but, We use Surf because we are a beach bum family, my husband surfs and I just love the pretty box. It smells great too. I will also soak the kids stained clothes in Oxyclean if they need it.

  100. You are very talented! The necklace is beautiful!
We use fragrance-free and dye-free laundry detergent, mainly because my daughters is slightly allergic to anything else. As for the brand, I usually buy Purex because it seems to be on sale most often.

  101. THIS IS SO PRECIOUS!!!!! I LOVE THIS NEW NECKLACE!
As for detergent: I LOVE the ALL Fresh Rain – with the new “technology” to keep clothes smelling fresh for days after! IT WORKS!

  102. I use SA8 from Amway. It is ABSOLUTELY amazing. I can’t say enough about it. I just love it and HIGHLY recommend it.

  103. I use a 7th generation lavender or lemon scented detergent or sometimes ecover lavender bergamont….we use white vinegar for a softener especially for towels it removes soap residue! Love the new necklace!!!!

  104. Hi Lisa,

In Canada, we have Norwex, an environmentally friendly laundry soap. Love it. Take care, Joelle

  105. I use All Free and Clear for the little ones and Surf (because it smells so refreshing) for my hubby and me!!

  106. OH MY GOODNESS. i just ordered my second necklace less than a week ago. THIS will be my third purchase! SO SO SO CUTE! i usually use purex or all (free and clear).

  107. Those are super cute. We use the clear detergents, either Purex or All. My husband and I both have sensitive skin and noses.

  108. I like ALL Free & Clear. I am not very picky but I do like the ones that are free of dyes and fragrance!

  109. Ecoballs – save money & help the enviroment (their words not mine) also bold on the more grubby washes!!

  110. I use unscented tide and the lavender & vanilla scented downy. I used to reserve the scented fabric softener just for sheets and towels, but I’ve started spoiling the rest of the laundry with it as well. Smells so good.

  111. We use Tide Free for our front load washer — usually with a squirt of Shout on several items. Hehe!

  112. Although I really LOVE the smell of Gain, it makes us itch like crazy, so it is Tide for us!

  113. I use All Free and Clear. Everyone in my family has very sensitive skin. I love this necklace! It is so cute! And so unique!

  114. For white laundry I still use a detergent from Europe (Persil) – it’s amazing!
For the rest I use Ecover and OxyClean …

The necklace is so cute – maybe it’ll motivate me to do the tons of laundry as soon as possible 😉

  115. I use GAIN. I have four children and while I was pregnant with my 4th child I fell in love with the smell of Gain detergent. While you were pregnant did you ever find smells or tastes that you couldnt get enough of? That is how I felt with Gain, if I could have eaten it, I would have! I absolutely loved the smell of Gain and the clean clothes!! I also love this cute necklace!!! love it!

  116. We use Purex Free and Clear….it does the best job cleaning our laundry and keeping our sensitive/prone to allergies skin happy….and it’s easy on our wallets.

The necklace is so fun and charming….what a neat way to share with others a family heritage!

  117. kirkland’s environmentally friendly laundry…trying to combine green, fit the budget and get things clean, plus my sensitive skin people do okay with it. I add Oxo brite for tough stains when needed.
oh….your jewelry, ALL your work as a matter of fact, so beautiful and inspiring.

  118. we use whatever my husband gets on sale! (yes, hes the family grocery shopper!).
i will say, i looooove tide. cant beat the clean smell!!
    I LOVE THAT NEW NECKLACE!

  119. We use detergent for sensitive skin here. Love the new necklace-it’s something I never get done doing-laundry!

  120. I use Arm and Hammer for sensitive skin detergent as I have always had freaky sensitive skin. This necklace would be awesome as I am a step mom of two kids. The hanging clothes remind me of visiting my Grandma’s house and seeing her clothes on the clothes line. 🙂 Thank you for reminding me of those happy childhood days!!!!

  121. i use the kirkland brand liquid detergent (costco find, red container) i have to use the same kind because hubs has sensetive skin and brakes out in a rash if i change. the really strange part is that kirkland has a free and clear with no dyes or perfumes and he reacts to it and not the basic kind. the kind we used to use changed their formula and hubs skin freaked out. weird. i know. but he’s mine! 🙂

  122. We recently switched from the cheapo costco brand to Gain and I’m loving the new scent of my laundry!
    Cute idea! Love the onesie!

  123. I love love love using Dreft for my 3 month old son. Nothing beats that yummy “baby” smell! Who knew I’d ever like doing laundry?!! I might actually enjoy it even more wearing that darling necklace!

  124. yet another Tide user here – with oxy clean as a supplement

adorable necklace – one of my favorite things is to see clothes hung on a clothesline

  125. I love the necklace! My kids bought me one of your necklaces for mother’s day and I wear it all the time always getting comments. I use Charlie’s Soap. It is wonderful and great for us as well as the environment.

    Debbie in Michigan

  126. Love the new design, so cute!

We use either All free & clear, or tide free since baby girl has super sensitive skin. I would love to try some of the more organic and natural detergents, but with a baby covered in stains and risk of rash, I don’t have the guts!

  127. I use Tide or Wisk…but for stains, (which is most anything in the laundry is seems), I use Zout and for grease, Watkins degreaser.

My husband used to fuss that I wasted so much time on the laundry, examining, spraying, squirting, etc., He was sure that if I just shoved it all in the washer, it would come out good as new. HA…I broke my ankle and was unable to walk for almost 3 months. He was just shocked to see how his laundry came out. I ended up with a very grateful husband…the hard way, of course!

    The necklace is lovely….

  128. I use Wisk is it great as a stain treatment also….love this necklace…i run a daycare and can see the kids names on it.

  129. We love using Charlie’s Soap for all of our laundry, including diapers. This is such a fun necklace.

  130. That is such a cute idea – I love your jewelry! I have a toddler with very sensitive skin so we use All Free and Clear

  131. I use ALL Free & Clear w/ 1/2 scoop of Oxiclean and a double rinse 🙂

  133. Hello Lisa!

Having two teenage daughters and laundry that seems like it comes from a never ending black hole………we use All or Purex or whatever is on sale at the time! Gotta save those pennies wherever possible!

    Have a wonderful day!

    Michele

  134. I am a tide user all the way!!! I use the TIDE HE Rain Scent and it’s liquid. I am also very particular about my stain removers. Amway SA8 solution works wonders on anything greasy (butter, fried things) ect and Spray and wash is great on grass stains. Blood comes out wonderfully when you put Hydrogen peroxide on it. I love clean clothes and I hate stains.

    Love your laundry line necklace.

  135. Gain because it smells so good! Love the softener also for clothes dried on the line! Smells wonderful when I bring them in.

  136. The new necklace is adorable! You have such a gift with design. We use Purex Natural Elements and love it! 🙂

  137. Purex Free and Clear for my sensitive babies(ie hubby!) 🙂
This is so stinkin cute, it’s funny I was just thinking the other day…. I am surprised Lisa hasn’t done a new necklace. But thought well she might be wanting to enjoy the summer w/her boys. And here we are!!
Very cute and unique idea………. LOVE IT. Hope to get one.

  138. We use Kirkland’s (CostCo) Free and Ultra Clear.
Your website is an daily inspiration, thank you for being so dedicated to it.
I have four children and am hoping for a Lisa Leonard necklace for my birthday. Lots of hints are being dropped here at home!

  139. What an adorable design!

Since we live out of the mainland, we use Ace (the Hispanic version of Tide!)

  140. First of all, I must say that your new laundry necklace is adorable! I absoluetly love it! It kind of reminds me of my childhood… I would help my mom hang clothes on the line to dry in the summertime. Wonderful memories! As for detergent, we have been using Purex Free & Clear because of my daughter, who just turned 2 months old!

  141. We use Dreft for the baby and Gain for the rest of us. I just found your website recently and I love logging in everyday to check your blog…it’s very inspiring! Thanks for sharing! Love the jewelry!

  142. I use Gain (regular scent). It’s my fave. This necklace is SUPER CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!! I have 2 of your necklaces and could use some more! 🙂

  143. i do four loads of laundry twice a week so I use whichever one is on sale! I love this new necklace-so cute! =)

  144. I am new to your line of jewlery, but love it! How do you find the time?
We use ALL Free and Clear due to me children’s allergies. I would love something with more of a clean scent, but it’s all for the kiddos, right?

  145. How sweet is your new necklace line!! I love your items you are truly blessed with a gift. I use All it work very well and it doesn’t cost aton.

  146. What a great necklace! I love your desgns and your photography! Your blog always gives my spirits a lift!

Oh yeah – I am a TIDE (for the front load washer) mom – all the way! Ãœ

  147. I love the necklace! I have gone “green” and am using Ecos free and clear. I love your jewelry but most of all I love looking at your photography. You are awesome.

  148. That necklace is super sweet! I love your stuff Lisa. I use whatever brand is on sale that is good for sensitive skin because my little guy has tons of allergy issues.

  149. Right now I am finishing up a bottle of All but I really prefer Tide Downy scent. Very picky about the scent. The new necklace is too cute!

  150. We usually use whatever it cheapest and for the most part that is the HEB Bravo brand. I just got on of the big new washers and so now I’m using the “HE” kind which I thought was going to be more expensive, but its really not!

I found your jewlery in a magazine before Christmas last year and told my husband I wanted a necklace for Christmas – the initals one with the little circles and the pearl. I wear several times a week and almost always get compliments! And then I found your blog a few weeks ago from Angie Smith blog! So glad I did!

  151. OH! I would love to win a necklace! I really like this design and I do think it is simple and kinda feels clean actually….and I do love clean! You are great! We use Kirkland Signature liquid kind….the free and clear! It is a good price and it works well too!

  152. We use the kirkland brand free and clear. Love that there are no smells or dyes for my babies. =) Love this necklace too!

  153. I’ve been a Tide girl, but I just purchased the new Purex so I’m going to give it a try too!

  154. Oh my hat that is just too cute, in Afrikaans in South Afria we would say, te oulik! (translates into too cute!)
I use Omo Wash in South Africa

Holding thumbs would love to win.

  155. Love your designs. I use Tide, have tried others but my kids complain and I go back to Tide and all is well. My Mom loved the “gramma” necklace we gave her for Mother’s Day.

  156. currently we are using dreft, as that’s what’s in the cabinet. we typically just buy what’s on sale!

    that necklace is precious!

  157. Oh Lisa….that is just the cutest idea!!!
We use Arm & Hammer detergent, and Downy fabric softener. I have sensitive skin and through trial and skin rashes….found that these work just fine for us. =)

  158. We use ALL free and clear in an attempt to control my son’s eczema. Adorable necklace!

  159. I use original Gain. I would love to have this necklace as I am getting married in a couple of months and it would be awesome to have something to add to this once children begin to come along. Love your site and your work…beautiful!

  160. we use All detergent – the basic blue bottle for us grown-ups, and the white, “free” for the kiddos. I use All, because my Mom used All – – isn’t that just the way? it must be “right” if momma did it that way.

I love your blog – as well as your line of jewelry. and your photographs – inspiring!

  161. Oh my heavens…those are the cutest little things ever!!!

What kind of detergent do I use? Usually whatever I have a coupon for! 😉 I’m using All Small & Mighty right now…don’t ya just love that name! 😉

  162. Love the new design, wearing my ‘wish’ necklace today as it happens! We use persil non-bio (here in the UK) and I use tea tree oil in my rinse – smells lovely!

  163. Great designs!!! I love the Tide with the lavender scent. I adore crawling into bed with sheets that are scented with this. When I don’t use that on my sheets and undies, I like Gain with the fresh scent. I also add a little oxyclean to each load. Thanks for the chance to win!!
    Cheryl Sims

  164. I never really had a preference but when I got married last June, my husband informed me that we HAD to use Gain EVERYTHING. Gain detergent and liquid fabric softener and dryer sheets.

    You know why?

Because that’s what his mama uses!

    So what do we use???

    GAIN!

  165. ALL FREE for me and my family!
Lisa i love all your work and check your blog each day…. enjoying your pics very much 🙂

  166. I usually use Tide or Arm & Hammer. I love this necklace. I hang my clothes outside on the line all summer. It makes me happy to see my sons’ little clothes blowing in the breeze! Thanks for a chance to win!

  167. all free and clear! i miss using good smelling detergents but my little one is sensitive to the dyes/perfumes! it gets the job done and can’t beat the price!

  168. We use Tide. It seems to work the best on my ‘ mud magnet’ daughter’s dresses. I love the necklace! It would be very fitting for me, since we have mountains of laundry every day. thanks for the chance!

  169. What a sweet necklace – love it!! I currently use Era, but I want to try the new Tide Total Care as soon as the current bottle runs out. 🙂

  170. Gain. Love the smell. Reminds me of when my husband and I were dating. His mom used Gain and I loved the way his clothes smelled!

  171. ok first I didn’t think the comments had an end…holly cow you got lots of comments on this one. lol We are faithful Tide users.

  172. I started making my own several months ago with a mixture of grated soap, borax, baking soda, and essential oils. Works well, is better for our skin, and better for the environment. A cost savings, too!

  173. Wow that sure is cute. You are so creative LIsa. Love it
I use All free for front loaders
but I love the smell of Tide.
    deezie

  174. I love all your jewelry but these are just the cutest things. We switch between cheer and Mrs Meyers for laundry . I can’t wait to purchase a few of your pieces. They are the type to where everyday and all day . Love them , keep up the good work .

  175. I use cheap-o Purex but hope to whip up a batch of homemade soap soon. Kind of makes me feel like a pioneer 🙂

The new jewelry is amazing as usual! I got my millionth compliment on a necklace you made last year and recommended your website

  176. While I gravitate towards more eco-friendly detergents, I really tend to buy what’s on sale and smells good when I’m tight on money!

  177. We use Nature Clean liquid detergent (in Canada) for our clothes and cloth diapers. Seems to do the trick for us!
Cute concept….I wear my Lisa Leonard “tags” necklace everyday….I even have a small tan line where the three tags always sit on my chest…now that’s proof for you! 😉

  178. We just started using Seventh Generation laundry detergent and love it. It leave our clothes smelling so fresh and it’s considered more of a “green” detergent so it’s better for the environment. I love the your new necklace design…it’s adorable and sweet.

  179. i swear – every single new piece you launch i want as much as the last one! gorgeous!!

we use detergant for sensitive skin here

  180. Lovely necklace, reminds me of hanging clothes in New Hampshire with my grandma.
We used to use more environmental laundry detergent, low suds, etc., but one day my husband, who is fighting cancer, said he really would like better smelling clothes. With the chemotherapy he has, his smell is really affected, so back to good old Tide from when I grew up.

  181. I have yet to find one that I would love to stick with… so I float! I smell every single one in the store every time and I pick the one that smells the best. =) So right now I am using Tide but I have used a lot of Small and Mighty before.

  182. Tide (high efficient) original scent! Love, love the way it makes our clothes smell. And love, love your jewelry!

  183. So so so so super adorable! Love ’em! We use All Free and Clear. It is very interesting to read all these comments about laundry detergent! Thanks for doing giveaways!

  184. We use Tide and, come to think of it, I have never used anything else my entire life! Congrats on another beautiful neclace design!

  185. We use Tide around here…but for my babies, it’s Dreft all the way!! Love this new creation….just beautiful!

  186. Wow. Um… Dreft for the little guy’s stuff, and whatever is on sale (I think I’m in transition) for the big people! Currently we’re on a bottle of Cheer, but I used to use Tide exclusively.

  187. Hi Lisa!

Again, I LOVE your work and your photography. Following your advice here on the blog, I’ve been using Picnik and love it!

I use ALL. It doesn’t smell fresh like the others, but it was recommended by my daughter’s dermatologist (she has eczema).

    Thanks for the giveaway.

  188. We use ALL Free and Clear 3x concentrated in the super large container. We’re allergic to Tide and many other detergents, and the concentrated/large container minimizes plastic. Wish we could reduce our plastic even more.

  189. trader joes detergent….. it’s “green”, smells good, works well, and makes one less stop to shop.
what a cute necklace…. i’ve really got to get myself one of these. : )

  190. I am loving the laundry detergent and fabric softener distributed by Shaklee: “Fresh Laundry”. Soooo clean smelling! 🙂

  191. I am a totally Tide kind of girl 🙂 with the fun febreeze added in it every once in awhile to put a little spice in doing the laundry…hehehe! Love the necklace!

  192. Totally into anything Gain right now. I love the fabric softner too!!

    the necklace is complete sweetness.

  193. It’s All Free and Clear at our house for my rashy kiddos… such sensitive little ones! That necklace is adorable!!! My husband recently got me the teeny tiny initials necklace and I practically never take it off. Your work is amazing!

  194. I use the liquid Costco, smells just like Tide but costs a lot less! 🙂 LOVE the necklace, so cute!

  195. I am a costco girl and use the kirkland brand. I am actually buying a new front load washer and dryer this weekend. Considering the fun red ones, maybe it will make doing laundry more fun!

  196. adorable! you are creative lisa.
kirkland brand liquid detergent! ywp, from good ol’ costco. we never use powdered detergent. did you know powdered detergent doesn’t dissolve completely and can irritate the skin. we have sensitive skin here in our casa, so it’s always liquid.
these necklaces would be perfect for my sister. she has two new boys (foster adopt), and is always admiring my necklace.

  197. I just made my own for the first time (after procrastinating for several months) and now we’re headed out on a long boat trip and will just use what we have on the boat. Oh well!

  198. We use Dreft for our 7 month old and 2 1/2 year old and Tide for us. Love your jewelry and blog…this necklace is precious!

  199. I love the new necklace – we have a high efficiency machine and use Persil – we find it very hard to find in North America (and if you can, it is very expensive). When we have friends visiting from Europe it is a requirement that they bring it with them – as much as they can. We will take that over any chocolate any day!

  200. Oh my! Your creative spirit is so inspiring and just too much! I LOVE this necklace~ so many family moments/memories are somehow laundry-related when you’re raising little ones…cute, cute, CUTE!!! I use the highly concentrated form of All, and I love to alternate the scents I use for a little change now and then…(as long as I use the same brand, no one seems to break out with little itchy patches or anything!) I also love to use Snuggle fabric softener dryer sheets…

  201. I use the Tide for the energy efficient machines..I think they are labeled HE?
    I always love Tide.
I also use sheets in the drier from Costco.

Just a suggestion..a little kitty and a doggie tag to complete the family? Maybe a bird too?

  202. hello Lisa,

just wanted to say i am waiting on my order but wanted you to know that your ideas are great. You want to know the laundry soap I use, my favorite it ALL. It works and it is resonably priced, does the job.

    Blessings
    Dawn

  203. We use GAIN. Someone gave us some clothes that had been washed in Gain and my husband couldn’t get over how good the clothes smelled. So…it’s a must buy at our house now.
    Love the new necklace!

  204. i always use whatever smells good! lately i’ve been using tide or all. but i also like gain. i love smelling freshly washed clothes!

  205. Lisa,
We use tide extracare. The color, the smell, I can’t use anything else or the family complains that the laundry smells “funny”.
    Love the new necklace.
    Darla

  206. Both my hubby and son break out in hives if I use anything other than a free and clear Tide. I MISS the scent of laundry detergent. =(

Love the new necklace! Very cute.

  207. That necklace is adorable!!! Thanks for doing this giveaway. For laundry detergent, we use All Free and Clear, or the Sam’s Club generic equivalent–can’t have those dyes and fragrances with a 16 month old with eczema!

  208. This is too, too cute! I’m a mix…. My husband has always been a Tide man, but I thought Gain smelled fresher. Now, I think I’ve gotten so accustomed to Gain that Tide smells better. So I have both on my shelf!

  209. We’ve been using the same laundry soap for about 18 years now. It’s called Restore the Earth and is locally (Minneapolis) made. They make several different environmentally friendly cleaning products and the best part is that the containers are refillable at our co-ops and our local Whole Foods. Fabulous necklaces!

  210. ALL of your work is FREE AND CLEAR above the rest. You have GAINed me as a fan since you make your beautiful work with your ARM and a HAMMER (possibly?) Please TIDE me over with this adorable item featuring onesies and tighty whities! (We use All Small & Mighty but I want to try those new thin sheet with detergent, softener and dryer sheets in one!)

  211. I use Tide for most our laundry but do buy with a coupon and a sale other brands for hubbies work clothes.

    The new “Line” is adorable.

  212. Whatever is on sale and smells the very best! I don’t mind to change it up! I love, love the new charms. I wear my initial necklace all the time, and the little clothes are perfect reminders to the sweetness of our little ones (most the time, right?!! :)!

  213. What a cute necklace!!! We use ALL Free and Clear. My husband and daughter have very sensitive skin and this is pretty much the only thing that doesn’t irritate them.

  214. I had been using Cheer HE Free and Clear, but I have just started using soapnuts. I also add some OxiClean. I like them so far–I use some lemon essential oil with it, and my laundry smells so good! The necklace is absolutely precious!

  215. Oh what a gorgeous necklace! You are such a talented woman! 🙂

We use Tide Free for HE washers, but I also just got a box of those new Purex unscented all-in-ones… they’re not quite unscented. Yuck. Linens only for those.

  216. has a cuter necklace ever been created? how precious!!! 🙂

we are a tide family. 🙂 used to be dreft when the baby girl was tiny, but now we’re back to good ol’ tide.

  217. I love the beauty in simple things!!! I use Tide Clean Breeze–powdered for towels and liquid for the rest. Nothing like the smell of line-dried clothes!!!

  218. Oh my gosh, this design is AWESOME! You did a great job!!!! I would love love love to win one 🙂 We make our own detergent, usually with Washing Soda, Borax and Dr. Bronners soap. So cheap and smells so fresh!

  219. I love the new necklace — so cute! We use Costco’s huge bucket of detergent. With two toddlers it doesn’t last quite as long as you might think…..

  220. 3rd generation Tide lover! But not liking the combination right now between the scent + my Bounce dryer sheets. After a day, the smell reminds me of a pet sawdust shavings smell — not good!

  221. I grew up with my mom using Tide, so I assumed when I got married that I also needed to use it. Then I discovered the wonderfulness of GAIN and I FELL IN LOVE!!! I will never use anything else…. EVER!!

  222. love it, love it, love it!!!

used to use tide (my whole life), but i’m searching for something all natural. right now i’m using ecos free and clear. not sure if i like it.

    (pick me, pick me!!)

  223. All concentrate. But really it’s all about the Downy. I never wear any perfume and everybody always thinks I smell so good. It’s the Downy.

  224. Amazing necklace! I just adore the little dress for Mommy’s part on the laundry line!

I love scented soaps for laundry… anything with a sweet smell. But my all time favorite has to be Dreft. It reminds me of when my children were little. I buy some from time to time… just because.

    Thanks!
    Lise

  225. The new necklace reminds of my mom waking me in the summer to hang clothes on the line! We use Tide here.

  226. I use “free and clear” Arm and Hammer. But I must say, I love adding a scoop of Oxy Clean to my laundry. Billy Mays (may he rest in peace) was right about that stuff! 🙂

  227. My first choice is Tide Free, but I will buy anything on sale that is free of dyes and fragrances. I have three boys under the age of three so I do LOTS of laundry!! I’ve been contemplating which necklace I like best for some time now, and just when I think I’ve decided, you come out with another adorable one!!

  228. I use whatever is on sale and doesn’t have a strong smell since we have allergies and migraines in our house that are triggered by that!
    LOVE the necklace….how adorable!!

  229. We use Gain (love the smell) and Clorox for colors for the whites, sheets and towels! Love the necklace Lisa! So perfectly simple and sweet!

  230. We use Gain (love the smell) and Clorox for colors on the whites, sheets and towels!
What a fun necklace Lisa! I love it!

  231. This necklace is so darling! I absolutely love it!!
We use Mrs. Meyer’s line for our laundry, our dishes, and our housekeeping. I love that they are botanically-based, no animal ingredients, no testing on animals, blah, blah, blah … 😉 It smells wonderful and does a great job cleaning, too.

  232. I have one of your necklaces and have given one other one away to a friend. I’m in LOVE 😉 Anyway, I use Gain b/c its reasonably priced AND smells great.

    Keep being fabulous 😉

  233. So, so, so sweet … love this!!

We use anything “free and clear” of dyes and perfumes. Usually it’s ALL, but sometimes Tide or Kirkland’s Environmentally Friendly laundry soap.

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  234. What a cute idea!

Right now we are using some arm & hammer something or other. My husband bought a big box of it for a garage project and gave me what was left over. Usually we go with Costco’s Kirkland brand laundry detergent.

  235. I have been making my own detergent for the last 6 months. I just made a batch today!!! I love the process of making it knowing what ingredients are used to launder the clothes my family wears. This necklace would symbolize so much for me. Absolutely fabulous!

  236. Tide “spring renewal” with Febreze…mmmm…makes my sheets smell wonderful! I’m also loving Meyer’s (lavender scent) which I found at New Frontiers. It’s expensive, but worth it!

  237. I am going green, so it is Seventh Generation, unless it is a really dirty. Gardening and sports clothing still get Tide-unscented for my daughter as the other stuff makes her sneeze.

    Fantastic new line! Love it!!

  238. Always use ALL Small and Mighty (for the environment) Free & Clear (for my toddler’s sensitive skin).

  239. Such a cute necklace! I use Shaklee’s Liquid L for my cloth diapers and baby loads and Seventh Generation White Flower & Bergamot Citrus Liquid for everything else. 🙂

  240. I use Arm & Hammer on all of our clothes. It works wonders on getting stains out, and not making colors fade!

    Love the new necklace! 🙂

  241. Love the new design!! LOVE it!
We’re a GAIN family … and the Costco brand {free & clear} … as long as it cleans the clothes, we love it 🙂

    Happy Summer Lisa & family!

  242. we use the environmentally friendly Costco brand–it’s vanilla lavender and gets the clothes super clean! necklace is AWESOME!

  243. I love the new necklace! PRECIOUS, and represents every day life in our house for sure! We have to use free and clear detergent. I don’t care which brand, whatever is on sale or I have a coupon for, but it has to be free and clear for all the sensitive types in my family.

  244. I use tide with frebreze in it. I absolutely love how it smells fresh like summer. My 2 1/2 year old daughter loves to help me with the laundry. she helps me carry it from the washer to the dryer and “helps me fold it”. I do take advantage a little because one day she will not want to help mommy with it anymore. i think the way you write, take pictures and make jewlery are such an inspiration not only to mothers but to everyone. i enjoy looking at your page everyday.

  245. Love the new necklace, it is Adorable!! We use Purex over here to make our colors bright and whites white, 🙂

  246. Hi Lisa!

I’m a fairly new reader but I am absolutely in LOVE with your work (both your jewelry and your photography). I’d love to get in on this contest! I am a Tide girl…love how it makes my clothes smell!

    Thanks for your awesome work!

  247. We are a sensitive skin family and either use ALL Free and Clear or Dreft. My 17 month old has very bad allergies and we need to keep things simple for her (and we are expecting daughter #2 in 5 weeks and of course want her clothing washed without fragrance or dyes!). The laundry line necklace is beyond precious and congrats on bringing your beautiful design to life!

  248. I just started using soap nuts, and so far I am pleased with them, but I am keeping a backup bottle of Purex Free N Clear around for my hubby to do his laundry. I’m just happy he can do his own laundry, and trying to get him to convert to soap nuts is just too much! very sweet necklace.
