cultivating a thankful heart.

give-thanks

my friend sue has launched a line of sachet pillows that hang in your home or car to remind each of us that we have so much to be thankful for.  each sashet pillow is paired with a matching journal.  she calls the set the ‘sisterhood of the traveling pillows’ and encourages friends to enjoy the pillow and journal and then send the set to a friend so they can read our thankful journalings and then cultivate their own thankful heart.  i love this creative idea of thankfulness and community.  go check out her darling, affordable pillow sashets HERE.  so tell us, what are you thankful for today??

  1. That is a great idea! I’m thankful that we caught some hazardous problems (in the past couple of days) with our van before anyone got hurt.

  2. scripture says that “i will come into his gates with thanksgiving in my heart, i will enter his courts with praise!” i KNOW that as a mommy i have to be especially intentional about being thankful, or the mundane will ware me out!
today i am thankful my two oldest are home after 2 weeks at camp! i am thankful for the words expressed about them by their counselors regarding the love they displayed for each other. i am thankful to have children that genuinely delight in and value each other. blows me away!

  5. I am thankful for my wonderful, supportive husband and our two boys. And that my husband has a good job so that I can stay at home with our boys.

  6. For my family….the greatest husband, daughter, son, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and 4 amazing gandsons….and for 4 days of R & R in a fabulous hotel with my husband and oldest grandson….and an entire day to read blogs…..

  7. I am thankful for my husband’s job. It is pretty secure (as much as can be) and he loves doing it, plus it has provided enough that I can creatively stay home with my two little kiddies, ages 4.5 and 1.5! In the midst of budgetting, going without some extras, and being single mom lots of times, I am still so thankful for work and that he enjoys it so we can enjoy each other more! God is good!
