  1. My obvious favorite tool is my toothbrush.. a fresh mouth feels so good :0) But what really get’s my day off to a wonderful start is the big gummy smile from my 11 week old son that I get every morning before going to work. It’s the best feeling in the world. Also I don’t think I could go a day with out my camera, a pen and a journal to write in.

  2. Okay, I love my Blackberry – which I’ve only had since June – it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread, I love the balcony door open in the early morning, hearing the birds and the windchimes really relaxes me, I love my SLR, but really haven’t used it so much and just bought a DSLR – Olympic Pen – because it’s the most lightweight camera ever (I was going to buy a Nikon and go all out, but why have a DSLR you have to LUG around …), my tools are my brushes and canvasses and paints and the imagination to do fun things with all of them (especially ephemera), my cat, Homee – he keeps me company and when I’m not doing art or customer service at work, my bestest tools ever are my hands – because I can do all these things and Reiki too and it’s wonderful to share.

  3. Hi Lisa,

  5. hands. nikon point-and-shoot camera. computer to connect to family. truck. favorite, most used tools.

  6. My favorite tools are my iPhone and my SLR camera, the really nice floral Cross pens my husband purchased for me, my new macbook, my size 5 bamboo knitting needles and my iPhone, Yes, I mentioned it twice. It’s my favorite.

  7. I love jewellery tools – my ex hubby was a jeweller and I loved watching him work. I did a jewellery making course in Chang Mai in Thailand in 2004 and got to make 5 items in sterling silver, I ADORED it!
My main tool is my garden. It brings me joy EVERY single day and is the tool I use to keep me on an even keel when life is pulling me every which way! Smiles..

  8. Oooh favorite tools would be my fingers and my paints . . . I also need water though to wash up all the mess I create. Great pics, love those.

  9. My fave tool is probably my words, whether they be spoken, thought, written, or read… However, if I had to pick something else, my laptop would be in close second. πŸ˜‰

  10. Journal & Sharpie Pen. Coffee. Powerful vitamins that keep my outlook positive. An electric heating pad that helps keep my pain manageable.

  11. My favorite “tool” would be my Kitchenaid Mixer that my husband bought me for Christmas last year.. How could I ever begin to bake all the cakes and make bowls and bowls of icing without it.. I have many other tools that are important as well but this one is the first one I use!

  12. My literal tools are very utilitarian: feeding tubes, syringes, bottles, tape, diapers, scales and tape measures. But the most important things I take into work with me are my hands and a soft voice. Talking to the babies, holding them, helping their mothers feel safe and secure with them: these are so very necessary and so rewarding in work on the NICU

  13. My daily morning run is my tool for everyday. It sets my day. Unfortunately, due to a horrendous migraine I was not able to get out the past few days. Tomorrow, I will run again. πŸ˜‰

  14. I’m not sure it’s my favorite tool, but every single workday I use Microsoft Excel. Less frequently used than Excel and way more loved is my Bernina.

  15. My favorite is my pushchair (stroller) great for containing my little ones when its not so safe to walk & putting just about everything we own in it, also saves lugging big camera about.

My favorite tools of my daughters are her hearing aids, she now turns when I call her name, happy days x

  16. I love sunshine and my camera too. My favorite scrapbooking tool is my Cricut and now at CHA they came out with a newer model that’s a must have. It not only cuts, but prints too. Do you scrapbook?

  17. With my hurried life, I use “post it” notes OFTEN. They keep things from falling through
    the cracks.

  18. I love your jewelry….especially your family tree necklace. My tools include sunshine, my scriptures for daily reading, my new droid x, and my daily menu for meal planning. They all help me stay organized and positive :).

  19. Hi Lisa,

In addition to loving your jewelry, I really love your photos. I am searching for a new camera right now and wonder if you can share what camera (I assume it is a DSLR?) you use and what lenses and equipment you have used with it? I have a Canon SLR but not digital yet (and I really dislike my digital point and shoot) – looking to make the jump! Also, have you taken any courses or have you learned through old-fashioned trial and error? I am considering some courses at a great local school …Looking forward to your advice!

My tools – well, at work its the computer … but in real life I “use” my kids and husband to recharge and make life meaningful and to fill it with joy…

  20. I’m going to have to agree with you … sunshine, my camera (it goes *everywhere* with me), my BlackBerry, my van (yes – I rock the minivan!).. but – the most important in my life: my Bible. I read a few chapters each night, and it is so very true: there is such power in His Word.
