too much to do! {hello monday}

***Hello Monday is where I greet the new week with an open heart and a fresh perspective. It’s a new beginning–and there’s so much to be thankful for! Join me by leaving your own hellos in the comments section or linking up a hello monday post there!***

Whoa! There is a lot on the calendar this week. We are in LA seeing various specialists for David {pulmonology, cardiology, and a pediatric dentist} and trying to squeeze in a some family time. Meanwhile I’m behind on emails and other things on my to do list. I’m a little overwhelmed but taking a deep breath and jumping in. How about some hellos for a new week?

Hello wearing what’s comfortable and easy. I don’t have the brainpower to be creative right now.

Hello loving these booties and wondering if I should buy a back up pair for when these wear out. Do you ever do that?

Hello bag and shoes that go with everything. Love the ease of that!

Hello sunshine and warm days. We have had summer all winter. I wonder what this summer will be like?!

Hello word of the year bracelet reminding me to greet each moment with an open mind. {The bracelet is out of stock but the necklace is available}

Hello David. He’s fighting a cold, refusing to walk too much on his right foot and having a lot of reflux pain. When he’s not in pain he’s happy and cuddly. In general, he’s more clingy than usual. We’re working towards solving the problems that bother him right now. He’s a trooper. Love that kiddo.

Hello outfit details. Coated black skinny jeans, Banana Republic. Top, Forever 21. Bootie sandals, Target. Bag, Target. Bracelet, My shop.

Hello eating healthy. We’re still on the wagon! Although I did have a very delicious cupcake the other day.

Hello bunny in our backyard. We have a wild bunny that has made a home back there. And I love it!

Hello organizing our laundry room this week. I bet I can do it in an hour or less–and it will feel so good!

Hello waiting for my next stitch fix box to arrive.

Hello trying to find new shoes for the boys. We live in a small town–and this task always seems like a hard one! Zappos to the rescue.

Hello heavy heart. We are praying for dear friends who just lost his dad.

Hello busy busy week. One step at a time, right?

  2. It’s hard to start a week with so much ahead of you…but hope all is going well…or at least as well as can be expected. Good Luck and hope David feels better soon. It’s hard when a little one is not feeling great; best wishes.

  3. Following your blog saves me money! I had just ordered those sandals (from a famous designer for MUCH more $) and then I read your post a few days laterand saw your cute bootie sandals. Well, I made a quick dash to Target to pick up a pair! Thanks, Lisa! 😉

  4. Sometimes things have to fall behind so the most important things can have your attention, huh? I love watching you love your family like this, Lisa. 🙂

    I’m super late today and just trying to keep my feet on the ground in general. Several friends grieving for a 13 yr old son and an unborn baby has kept my heart somewhere else. Saying hello to using my time better, a wonderful and full weekend and a last min flight scheduled to be with my grieving friend. http://happylittlelovelies.com/2014/02/24/hello-monday-still/

    Enjoy sunny LA!

  5. Lisa,
    Praying for you and your family and that you’re able to accomplish all that’s in front of you this week! Your outfits are always, always inspiring. Thank-you for being you! Sending extra rest and hope to you this week. XO

  6. One step at a time, indeed! I hope all goes well for you guys in LA this week!!! Hoping David feels back to his happy, musical self again soon.

    Hello, busy week for all of us at my house. Hello, meetings, rehearsals, lessons, and, finally…hello to a date night to wrap this whole week up.

  7. Hello, Lisa. I hope that your busy week goes by smoothly and that all of David’s appointments end with the outcomes you’re wishing for. I’m saying hello to a brand new blog design and url (no longer Vintage Sunshine), a busy week. Appointments, errands, cleaning and projects. All while feeling a bit overwhelmed. Linking up with you today too for a hello post! Happy Monday, friend! xo

  8. Hi Lisa, I love your jewelry and I am looking at necklaces that would contain the names of my 8 grand kids! I see one but you can only get 7 names on it. Also, I like the disc style but it only contains 4 names on it. Can you custom make some disc to have 8 names? Please let me know ..blessings to you and your beautiful family,
    Nana Mir

  9. Oh, Lisa, you always look so cute and sassy.

    I think of you often as you and your family continue on this journey with precious David. You are always so positive but I’m sure your heart gets so heavy at times over all he has to deal with on a daily basis. Blessings to you!

    Happy new week!
