  9. Hi sweetie, sending you strength and courage from across the world. I’ll be thinking of you both and your sweet David. Remember too, it’s okay to cry – we need it, it helps cleanse away our stresses and strains. Big hugs with love. Pretty things today – shirley poppies in full flower, birds singing, my pussycat. Had a REALLY hard day yesterday with lots of tears because of an inconsiderate neighbour using nasty chemicals on our sloped boundary (there’s a pond at the bottom of the slope where our ducks swim and drink) so trying to be gentle with myself. My hubby has to have a glucose fasting test for 3 hours on Thursday (we just found out 10mins ago). I so so so want to have some positive time for myself right now – I’m struggling with things… More hugs.. and smiles…

  10. Praying for David and for you all – for every moment before, during and after the op. May the Surgeon’s hands be as God’s hands for David tomorrow.

  11. Things that make me smile today is my 3 1/2 month grandson looking back at me and smiles as I’m holding him right now reading your blog. Lisa my heart and prayers are with each and everyone of you. Your jewelry is lovely. I bought my daughter-in-law one when the baby was born and she loves it and get many complements on it. getting ready to place an order for gifts, XOXO to all.

  12. You’re an insperation. so positive and always seeing the beauty in everything no mattter what. Blessing to you and your family, will be praying for little David. Hugs!

  13. Lisa, I wish you and your family all the best. Sometimes, in my dayly rotine, I stop what i’m doing and thing of you and how are you handling whit all this feelings. Be strong because after David’s surgery and the fast recovery you will be running after him at the playgrounds. So sorry for my bad english. I’m portuguese and I don’t practice english writting as often as i should. Best love and whishes.

  14. My thoughts are with you and your family. Keep thinking of the beautiful times and places that you have been together and perhaps there is a special adventure that you can plan and look forward to once David is all better.

The glass knobs remind me of the ones that my grandparents had in their house, although theirs were huge cut glass ones. When I was little I couldn’t fit my hands around them. When the sun was at just the right place in the sky, it would create rainbow prisms that would magically appear around the living room and then just as magically, disappear for another day. They are tucked away in a box somewhere, but I should get them out and find a new home for them. Just thinking of them has reminded me of lazy afternoons at Grandma’s house, the smells, the way the sofa felt, the little shelf of colouring books under the coffee table. Ahh, memories.

  15. Thinking and praying for all of you. I pray you find the strength to guide your family through this stressful time.

Our time will come shortly when our granddaugter willgo through part 2 of her heart repair surgery. Never easy but place your faith in God, that he will guide you during this small bump in the road of life. I am praying for David.

  16. Lisa, Just wanted you to know that I prayed for you, David and the rest of your family today. I also prayed for the doctors and nurses that will be taking care of David. I prayed for wisdom and discernment and a good night of sleep for them so that they will do their very best for David tomorrow. I have prayed for God to give you peace. What a relief this will be for your family when David has recovered and feeling better than ever!

  17. making me happy today — waking up early because of the rain AND making time to make choc. chip waffles for my kids before school – such a fun treat!! And time for a second cup of coffee!!

  21. Pikes Peak. There’s a little snow on it now. It always looks different depending on how the light hits it. I will never get tired of seeing the mountains.

  24. Lisa, wow. Glad the time is here, but I know it is hard. And that is only from having my dad go through it – not my baby, so I will be praying for you all and the doctors and staff. Take care of you. Please let me know if I can help. Hugs and love to sweet David.

  25. first – prayers for you to have strength and peace during this time. all will go well..today i’m smiling because a friend was SURPRISED(boy was she ever) by a grandson she last saw at his mothers funeral…it is something that will be in her heart forever. my sons surprised me like that a few years ago – and just the thought of that surprise makes my heart fill up. It was a wonderful day for her, and she deserves it.
    Stay strong lisa.

  26. thinking about the day i shared with my nearly 21 year old daughter and my 10 year old son.
we walked around a lake and took in the fall colors and smells, we shared our lives and talked about first loves, skipped rocks into the lake and made a video for a college project. then found a remote BBQ stand and had a delicious dinner.
    hugs to your family lisa

  27. Lisa, there are hundreds of prayers and hugs going your way in your family’s behalf ! Know that the world loves you and that you are strong and can do this! Love ya!

  28. Thinking of you and praying that all will go well, I know it will. Let others help you, be able to get out and catch your breath, and cry if you need to. It all will help you out. You have a tuff ride ahead of you. Big hugs to you and your beautiful family.

  29. The glass knobs remind me of my Grandma’s house. She has them throughout it. They are always so pretty, & sparkly when the light hits them. Other pretty things, my 4 year old son telling me I am beautiful, even when I come in from running. đŸ™‚ My daughter’s smile.

Best of luck to you, & David tomorrow. đŸ™‚
