a fun {and easy} project to share {mounting photos on wood DIY}

I’ve got a fun {and easy} project to share today! I snapped this pic of our green, vintage typewrite with a sweet note–and I loved it so much, I decided to mount it on wood. Also, as a gift for you, I’m including the high res image to download. Feel free to create this same project or frame the photo. It’s super high res–so you could go quite large! Read on for details.

I’ve got a thing for vintage typewriters–so when I found this green one at a thrift store, I snatched it. Isn’t it sweet?

For this project, all you’ll need is…

*a piece of wood {I got this one at Michaels for $5}
*a large photo {i had this photo developed at costco}

*white glue {thinned with water, 2 parts glue/1 part water}  or modge podge
*sponge or paint brush

Lay wood on top of photo and trace around edges.
Then tear photo inside of lines, so the wood will show around edges.

Cover the wood with glue mixture, then cover the back of the photo with glue mixture

Place photo on wood and cover top of photo with glue mixture

Let dry completely

I nailed directly through the wood, but you could attach a hanger to the back {if you’re not lazy like me!}

So fun and easy, right? I think this would be adorable with pictures of your kids at the beach. Three in a row over the fireplace? Love it!
