how to decorate a room with “cow’s nose” {+meg duerksen}

I love Meg’s decorating style–so when she started offering prints and canvases, I couldn’t wait to hang one in my own home. I finally decided on this one–the cow’s nose. Chrissie and I were admiring it at craft weekend. I love the perspective and how FUN it is.

This pine hutch is a hand-me-down from my mom. She has great taste in antiques and when I was around 12 years old she told me I could pick one antique and she would save it for me. So I picked this one. Apparently, I was a wise 12 year old, because I still love this piece and it has a secured spot in our home.

The quality is beyond what I expected–wrapped edges and finished with a hanger. Very well done!

I added some treasures I’ve thrifted or found at vintage sales.

I have a stash of vintage plates in all colors and sizes. It’s hard to pass up a good plate–especially when they are only pennies!

This canvas so represents Meg to me. That girl has a kind, honest heart and a mind bursting with creativity. I love her.

These knobs were a souvenir from Thailand. There were other treasures to big to bring home–but these tucked into my suitcase nicely.

And here’s a look from across the room. It fits in quite nicely, I think! And it’s a great conversation piece when we’re sitting around the table eating.

You can find the same canvas here {it’s quite large and only $99!} Or pick up the print here. Check out more fun stuff here. And read Meg’s blog here.
