aqua + red {love}

lately i am so drawn to red and aqua!

we have touches of it all over the house. and it’s so inspiring.

we’re offering gift wrap in checkout now–aqua with velvet ribbon.

so pretty!

i bought these apples the other day and love the contrast with my aqua bauer bowl.

oh my. these petal pushers from the pleated poppy are waaaay to sweet.

and when i paired them with my red sweater i got 10 million compliements.

okay, maybe not 10 million–but a lot!

you can see more petal pushers HERE.

and we have a few little bird’s nests around the house with ornaments instead of eggs.

easy holiday decorating!

what’s your favorite color combo right now?

  1. I love red and aqua too! We made red and pale blue (also nice) the color scheme for our wedding. It was loosely Chicago-themed decor, and red, white and pale blue are the colors of the Chicago flag!

  2. Orange & Purple… my 6-year old asked that we re-do her room in those colors… which we did a couple months ago… and it makes me smile every time I go in there… so fun!

  3. hi lisa,

by the way; i need to go to target with you, I never seem to be able to find the cute stuff you do but its just that it looks so cute on YOU!! 🙂

  6. That color combo has been a favorite of mine for a couple of years now. It is the colors I chose to brand my handmade business with! But throw in a little mustard and gray with those two colors and my heart sings!

I have that same turquoise bauer bowl…mine have lemons in them. And I need another teal petal pusher…two look way cuter together than just one on it’s own!

  9. So cute Lisa!! You look great in those colors:)
I love my petal pusher from Lindsey!! I like to wear mine in my hair. I think I will have to buy 2 next time. They are cute paired up like that!
BTW- I LOVE the snowflake ornament. I was trying to think how I can fit all my kids on one:/

  10. I am always a fan of red + aqua……and I especially love the petal pusher and your red sweater.

I have been wanting a red cardi for awhile now and this photo of you confirmed it!

I just found your blog today but immediately subscribed!
    🙂

  11. I’ve decorated me home in Evergreen and Khaki – with a mix of Cranberry Red. Is that too cliche for a Christmas theme? Another color combo I love is Tangerine and darker blue hue. Really enjoyed this post, Lisa!

  12. OH, I wish I had seen this earlier this week. I just went out and bought all black and white prints for our Christmas paper…with the idea of using bright color ribbons….now I’m thinking this is soo pretty I may have to replan my wrapping plans!

  13. I’ve (unintentionally) decorated my new flat in a combination of purples and greens. The walls are painted a very pale lilac and accents of other purples as well as a variety of greens are all over.
