antiquing in los alamos, CA

a couple days ago {on the way back from blog sugar} my mom and i stopped in los alamos for some quick antiquing and lunch. it’s about halfway between santa barbara and san luis obispo.

i’ve driven through before–and it’s tiny, but stopping to check out some shops made me look at the details. it’s such a cute town!

that coat above is about the right size for a seven year old–so sweet. i wish it was my size!

we each found a little treasure and we had a delicious burger at charlies.

my burger had pickles, grilled onions, tomatoes and thousand island dressing on it. i’ve come to realize that i love thousand island dressing. and while it might be somewhat off topic, i can’t stop thinking about that delicious burger i had in los alamos! what do you like on your burger?

  1. love the little jacket – and I have a 5 yr old who it might fit. 😉

on my hamburger – catsup, pickles, cheese & lettuce (i know, kinda boring) – and can’t have one without french fries!

  2. I love antiquing! I go with my mom all the time. As for burgers, I’m a weirdo – I don’t like them, lol. Once in awhile I’ll have a turkey burger or veggie burger, and then I like them with mustard, pickles, onion, tomato, and cheese.

BTW, I ordered and received your autumn bracelet and earrings a couple of weeks ago – GORGEOUS!

    xoxo

  3. This is not related to burgers…but my best friend just sent me your tiny twig necklace as a sweet gift. I LOVE it!! It’s just perfect.

Always enjoy your blog- thanks for sharing!

  4. I have never heard of putting thousand island on a burger….might have to give it a try…
On my burger I love goat cheese, pesto mayo, tomato and lettuce – it’s absolutely delicious!!

  5. If it is a really good hamburger, just pickles.

If not great, then give me thousand island, lettuce tomatoes and maybe grilled onions – no cheese please, that would be a cheese burger.

  6. I never would have thought of putting salad dressing on my burger but it sounds delicious!

On my burger, I like lettuce, tomatos, onions, pickles, ketchup, and mustard. Oh! and cheese!

  7. How wonderful!!! We need a pic of mom who is a part of your wonderful family!!! 🙂

Ketchup, mustard, lettuce and tomato with a couple slivers of fresh onion is the best!

  8. Thousand Island dressing is the bomb!!! At Steak -n-Shake they call it Frisco Sauce. I love cheese, mushrooms, grilled onions, mayo, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, and mustard on my burger. By the time you stack all that it’s amazing there’s actually room for the burger.

Lisa, please check out my creative post today on Love and Patience. I think you’ll appreciate the content.
