Changing seasons, changing lives

fair trade, what i wore wednesday, what I'm wearing By February 19, 2014 3 Comments

Ah! I’m so excited to share our brand new fair trade pieces from the hope{full} collection. This collection provides work for women in Ecuador and each piece purchased feeds a child in need in Ecuador. They are hand-carved from tagua seed and seriously gorgeous. I love the weight and color. And they’re so affordable–starting at only $15!

I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration.

This is a basic outfit, but the pieces from the hope{full} collection make  it fun and give it personality.

The morning mist necklace is adjustable which makes it versatile. And gray is such an easy color to wear!

How cute are the bracelets? I couldn’t decide which one to wear–so I layered both. Which do you prefer–the deep gray or gorgeous red?

Outfit details: Black top, Target. Skinny jeans, Gap. Bootie sandals, Target. Jewelry, New hope{full} pieces from my shop. Bag, Target.

These pieces work perfectly for transitioning from colder weather to warmer weather. Wear them this spring with cozy sweaters and your favorite jeans and then wear them all summer with a flowy dress and sandals. Love!

Any one out there looking forward to spring?

fair trade, inspiration, what I'm wearing By August 22, 2013 No Comments

Friends, I’m so excited to tell you that today we are matching meals when you shop our hope{full} collection. Read on to find out all about it!

The handmade pieces from our hope{full} collection are beautifully hand-crafted. I paired one of our chunky tagua seed necklaces with this dress and booties–and it made for a seriously fun and easy outfit.

I brought a slouchy gray sweater to layer on in the cooler evening. But it’s the necklace that steals the show, don’t you think? Outfit details, Dress, Anthropolgie. Booties, Target. Sweater, Gap. Bag, Vintage. Necklace, My shop.

This necklace is only $30 and would add FUN to fall sweaters and boots.

I’m in love with this one–which can be worn long or double wrapped and it’s only $27!

These earrings are basic and bold, and they’re only $18.

And TODAY every piece sold buys TWO meals. I love that we can work together to do GOOD.

How many mouths can we feed today? Will you join us as we team up with Jungle Kids to make a difference? I believe that a necklace can feed a belly and a scarf can change a life– let’s do this! Here’s how:

Each piece from our hope{full} collection is fair trade, organic and sustainable, giving work to Ecuadorian women and building families and communities. Necklaces, bracelets and earrings are made from tagua seeds, which are harvested, carved and dyed vibrant, beautiful shades.  We also offer hand-made scarves that can be worn in your hair, around your waist, around your neck and any other creative way!

Want to find out more? You can visit Jungle Kid’s website here. You can watch a video about Jungle Kids here. You can see my interview and a behind the scenes look at one of our photo shoots here.

We will be counting down to our goal of 200 meals on Instagram and  Facebook, so follow along, spread the word & of course hop over to the shop and be a part of making a difference. Let’s change lives together!
