  1. We took the kids to see Gnomeo & Juliet last weekend, we all loved it! And the Elton John music is awesome!!!
    ENJOY!

  2. Taking a “pilgrimage” to IKEA for several things we’ve been eyeing for some time! Excited to do some work in the house…the results will be super fun!

    Enjoy the pancakes — yum!

  3. Dh took me to see the movie last weekend. We loved it! When it was over he took me to JoAnns to pick up a small gnome to keep inside with my houseplants, funny guy. I think I’ll keep him (DH AND the gnome ;-D )!

  4. Sounds like a great weekend! I saw Gnomeo and Juliet yesterday with my 9 year old daughter and we both loved it! Better than I imagined it would be.

We were up bright and early doing a Girl Scout Cookie booth and then off to her softball game! Very cold but sunny here in the bay area today!

    Enjoy your weekend!

  5. It’s cold here in Vienna. My older son is a little ill, my daughter was shopping with her friends – and they had very much fun! – and my little son made a big chaos with his toys…! Happy weekend to you and your family!

  6. Not too much besides hockey on the agenda this weekend! We went to see Gnomeo and Juliet last weekend when we were in the states [matinee was only $4.50 each!!] & the kids loved it.

I am dreaming of warmer temperatures and getting out of this deep freeze!

    1. You must be a fellow Canadian! We are also dreaming of warmer temps and less snow. It’s mid-thigh in our yard right now, and there’s no end in sight, it seems! No $4.50 matinees in the horizon either, LOL! Good deal!

  7. It does sound like the perfect weekend!

I am cramming in Oscar nominated films in preparation for my aunt’s annual Oscar Bash. So far I’ve watched Inception, Winter’s Bone, and Black Swan. Might need Toy Story 3 to pull me back into some happiness!

  8. the day started out at my daughters band festival,,and now we have my grand babies for the weekend,,Joey 3 and Emmett 2 months,,So a very nice lazy cuddle time weekend..

  9. I think our plans will be lots of baking – sour cream bread, lemon thyme shortbread, and naan. Then out to get fresh smoked salmon and fixings. Chicken parmigiana tomorrow and lots of goodies while watching the Oscars!

  10. Lisa,

Wishing I was in Morro Bay taking in the ocean air…….Will be heading that way for Spring Break…..Hopefully the sun will be shining and there will be no rain like at Christmas time!

Love the picture of the two doors. Are they at Ruby Rose? If so, are they available to purchase?

    Happy Weekend,
    Sandi

  11. So far, it has consisted of typical motherhood stuff, you know, climbing Mt. Laundry, eradicating golden retriever fur tumbleweeds, feeding piranhas (aka preteens-and-a-teen), your typical zookeeping adventures…

When all is calm at the zoo, the plan is to continue research on mission organizations we could work with in Ghana this fall. That, and networking with a few local adoptive moms who can guide us through the stumbling blocks along this adoption journey.

Surely, long past bedtime, I will realize that I haven’t yet done my homework, and will likely be up all hours getting that done too.

      1. Hey Lisa!

Thanks — we’ve been known as “The Zoo” for the last ten years or so. We even had it on our answering machine for a while — “You’ve reached the Richarsdson Zoo, we’re open M-F, 8-5, and accept volunteers at any time. Admission fee guarantees adventure.” People would laugh too hard to leave a message… fabulous!

God’s brought a lot of adventures to the zoo lately, yes! I loved, loved, loved the adoption story you posted recently — it gives my heart hope that we’ll get through this journey and bring our little girl home too. Prayers would be appreciated!

Have a fantastic weekend with the boys (big and littles!)

  12. I work at the local Y this weekend…its snowing…hubby it getting over the stomach upsets and kids are doing home work…

    One step closer to spring!

    😉

    1. Awesome on your first 5K! I’m doing my first at the end of March, in Michigan. How was it, compared to training? Any words of wisdom for a newbie? Doing a 21K in October in NY, freaking out a little about that one 😀

      1. It was a lot of fun. There were so many people there that it was hard to run the whole way. We had to walk at first until the crowd thinned out. We should have started at an earlier time group. It was easier to run with the group and hard because of all the walkers. The scenery was not bad either, we ran through Epcot. If you have been training and can run 5K already you should be fine. Good Luck and I hope you have a great time.

  13. My weekend is not so much fun…waiting for the carpet cleaning man…house upside down..cats locked in back room..starting to snow…oh well, by the end of the day the house will smell and look marvelous…have a great weekend..
