sister birthday 2013

Because all four of us sisters have birthdays a week apart, we’ve had a tradition of doing something fun, all four of us. The last few years we’ve met up in Santa Barbara–which works well because it’s halfway {I live four hours north of my other sisters}.

Phew! That’s a lot of birthday since I started blogging. I’m so thankful for my sisters {and for my younger sister and sister in laws!}.

{Plum Goods in Santa Barbara carries our heartfelt line. I LOVE this shop!}

The Spectacular Now was such a good film–but a little sad.

Cake toppers can be found in my shop {here}.

Sister time sounded like Kenny Rogers, laughter and ocean waves.

It felt safe and real and honest.

It tasted like italian food, banana cream pie and diet coke.

It smelled like coffee, hairspray {all those curls have to be tamed!} and toasted bagels.

It looked like blue skies, palm trees and happiness.

Is it time for another sister getaway yet?

  2. Happy birthday to all of you! What wonderful treasures – your sisters and these collections of photos from each year together! I love that you all still celebrate your birthdays so many people seem to stop as they get older. Im confused what do you mean youre grateful for your sisters and your younger sister? Isnt she a sister?

  3. So glad you had time with your sisters! Happy belated birthday to you and to them πŸ™‚
    I love Plum Goods and am happy your line is in there. It’s one of my favorite shops to find specials gifts in.

  4. Lisa, I’m a day late but hope you had a very happy birthday! You and your sisters are so blessed to have each other. I love the words you used to describe your sister time…so sweet! πŸ™‚

  5. sounds amazing, Lisa. I’ve become more and more convinced that everyone needs a little time away to reconnect and maybe remember who we were before all our other roles were added, you know? Love time with people who do that for me and so glad you have that with your sweet sisters. πŸ™‚
